not only are jellyfish very effective in combat, but you can actually get saved by one from drowning, this happened to me when i was trying to get the magenta pearl in shoreline, when i passed out and dropped held items from drowning, the jellyfish that i was holding ascended to the surface and pulled me with it so i survived
pros: - long stun duration - has more throw direction variety than spear - pretty much infinite use - trivializes fighting vultures and red lizards - actually inflicts minor damage - can shield you against spears - can be consumed if needed - can save you from drowning? cons - has a cooldown - has less velocity than spear - flies not as far as spear - requires skillz to throw accurately - can backfire and suddenly stun you - only effective against a single enemy - small pp damage - can be accidentally consumed
I'm pretty sure it's actually electricity, given the shock sound effect, it's just a weaker voltage than a centipede (though don't baby centipedes stun slugcat in a similar manner?)
@roddy axolotl ive never actually been stung by a jellyfish but every other AI ive seen has, they just pull us I think its something to do with something we release into the water which blocks or cant initiate their zapping capabilities, like odours or chemicals
@@Sea_Leech Well, that can't be the answer either, the big jelly from downpour kills slugcat very easily, amd slugcat is shocked many times in the video, not to ,ention cemtipedes do not have a dampened effect on slugcat in the water either.
@@Oofle_the_Worm I think it's somewhat like how jumper cables work when you mess it up, the power goes through the slugcat similar to how static electricity goes through humans, but more controlled.
Yeah I learned of the one truly godlike weapon of the Jellyfish when I managed to kill a Vulture in the Shoreline with one spear thanks to the Jellyfish essentially allowing me to stunlock them. Also if you hit them with one I think that individual Vulture will leave you alone for the rest of the cycle (don't quote or rely on this information I can't verify it).
That is definitely the strongest weapon, but yeah as you showed at the end it is absolutely extremely dangerous, and can easily be dropped to a real annoying place if not an unretrievable place. Also I might be remembering this wrong but I'm pretty sure you can accidentally kill it with a spear.

Woahh!
I didn't know ya can do that!
It's cool that ya didn't give up one your Slugcat :3
Dude you got the life shock from the jellyfish XD
huh, thats something to keep in mind for me i guess.

I'm so glad you left in the outtakes lmaooo
It almost seems it has some kind of neurotoxin, to which slugcats are naturally immune.
Mostly immune.

Surprisingly effective

Everyone:*thinking jellyfish the best weapon
Singularity bomb: am I a joke to you
It can only be used once and has a high chance to kill the thrower

You make an excellent argument.
im your 560th sub!
I know how I am getting through Aqueducts now!
When I use it ends up with me shocking myself
1:01 incorrect sound effect original
I thought green lizards were immune to jelly fish
They just can't be damaged by them
id love to know jellyfish spawns
Around big sis moon(looks to the moon) and shoreline
About the others I'm not sure
like your Jackie Chan style ending
Only thing is to try and not accidentally eat the thing
whats the amperage output of that thing?!?!
Wait, how much damage does this stuff deal?!
none, but it stuns the enemy for a very long time
@@thedoge492 actually it does some damage, for example in the video it killed eggbug

I assume throwing it while jumping, probably takes lots of practice

Apparently it works with other food too.
