    I had a red ‘09 one of these for a year. Absolutely loved it despite wishing for a 6th gear and the tinny noise of the doors shutting. The handling balance of these cars is awesome. Trail brake oversteer round every roundabout 🤫

    • @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes
      @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes  4 года назад +2

      I sorted the tinny noise when shutting the doors, by simply taking off the door cards, and fitting plenty of sound deadening in there, and putting the cards back on, amazing difference! sounded like a Mercedes door closing after that (and some on the inside of the boot lid, and under the bonnet helps with rattles too)

    • @Tougebeat
      @Tougebeat 4 года назад +1

      @@Budget-Cars-And-Bikes is there a tutorial or a website explaining how to take the door cards off? I need to take mine off because something is rattling. I also want to install sound deadening.

    • @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes
      @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes  4 года назад +2

      @@Tougebeat There is not much info on-line really, maybe the owners manual? but if I remember there is a small screw inside the door handle, and another One on the arm rest (pop out the plastic cover and you can see the screws) , then the rest of the door is held on by retaining clips, so you just need to pull the door card outwards gently, then once it is loose, lift it UP and away from the door, (make sure the window is closed before you start so you can get the padding behind the window onto the metal door)

      I personally never had even One issue with either of the SSS I purchased :)
      I did have some wind deflectors on this Black One, and they really help with wind noise from the window, plus my advise would be to upgrade the stock head unit and door speakers, also maybe put some sound deadening in the front doors, makes a huge difference and makes the doors close with a nice solid sound, instead of the "clank" sound you can get without the padding :)
      Great little cars, and a huge amount of fun, just keep it serviced and it should last

    Hey man, just dropped a deposit for a 2500 quid swift sport as my first car, not sure about a few things so looking everwhere! thanks for the video, just wondering about if its worth it; brilliant condition, no scratches or bumps and state of the art alarm system. 80,000 miles, black high performance tires + 3 month warranty, spare tire, 2 keys. i'm 18 and always wanted a swift!! I've been driving a 1 litre Peugeot 107 which is boring as shit but very easy to drive. so when i get in this, not use to the speed so very wary about the steering - it is much heavier than i am used to (as well as the clutch), is this to be expected in a 1.6? dealer says it's to keep good control over the car, but it seems to have no turning circle! the guy says he'll take it in before he sells it to me so should be okay. Should I look for another one, maybe a 1.3 for only a grand or so, or go for this and have my fun? no clue. thanks for the help anyway! (i can get a full return on the deposit within a week)

Chain driven so should be nice and quite, if any kind of rattle from a cold start, walk away, check underneath for rust issue's too.

    Alright mate, heard that these start to have clutch and gearbox issues at around 100k miles. Have you had any problems?

    • @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes
      @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes  6 лет назад +2

      Well I have had 2 of these, One was just 44.000 Miles and then this Black One at just over 100.000 Miles, and TBH both drove really nicely, and never had any kind of clutch slip issue's. I think most cars 100.000 + are going to need a clutch pretty soon, so if I buy anything with that kind of Miles, I always do what I can to test the clutch operation for anything which seems out of the ordinary. As for the gearbox, I didn't have any issue's there either, this Black One drove 100% without issue at over 100.000 Miles, but I guess it's dependent on how the previous owners actually drove the car? if the owner is young, then most likely they drove it hard, so just listen out for any odd noises, and make sure all gears engage as they should without any "crunching" or slipping out of gear when pushed ;)

      You can get a backbox delete, or just get an after market rear section if you like, won't harm the car, but might get a bit annoying after a while. Plus as it has dual end pipes it won't be cheap to buy! around £400/£600 I would imagine for a Janspeed system or something like that :)

    Hi, what was the clutch like at this mileage, also what is the clutch life on these?

    • @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes
      @Budget-Cars-And-Bikes  4 года назад +1

      Clutch was very good, I don't think you can really estimate the life of a clutch, My Mothers Rav4 went at 79.000 Miles, but my Brothers Rav4 went at 145.000. So it's really more dependent of how the car is driven, more Motorway Miles mean less wear on the clutch generally, around town driving can mean early clutch replacement.

      Always fancied having an EP3 but most have been thrashed to bits! and now the newer gen FD2/FN2 are coming down in price I might see if I can find a decent One. It's all about the service history with these cars I think, they are designed to be driven hard, and can last forever if looked after. I don't think you can compare the Type R with the SSS though.
