By far my favorite song in the game.

It would be REALLY funny if, in King Knight's campaign, his version of the Fabulous Armour that you can buy in Shovel and Plague's campaigns is actually a perfectly mundane suit of armour (y'know, since he already has Fabulous Armour to begin with!)
n00bplayer Or they could go completely overboard and give him the most over-the-top armor ever concieved in the game
How would you go about giving someone who already has an over the top outfit and personality an even more over the top outfit?
NinjaMaster909 An extremely long cape that drags behind him and a massive bejeweled crown
@@salj.5459 That's so King Knight.
What we got was still pretty damn funny
During a rather bad period of my life, I used to have a very personal interpretation of what this song describes:
The first part was like regrets from my past, of something I didn't accomplish.
1:01 was me wishing I could turn back time as I thought it was probably too late.
1:22 resolution: it's not too late, I will do it anyway!
1:31 (the highest not of the piece): the scream, the anger.
1:36: struggle, anger at it's peak.
1:47: resignation, defeat.
Though it didn't end badly as I liked to imagine when listening to that track.
I dont know why but 8-bit music gives so much more emotion to songs. Like you can feel the despair in the song.
That's because it's written in a minor mode. 8 bit music is generally awesome because people care about the notes they're writing. Unlike modern photorealistic games where they just slap layers of violins doing "epic" chords.
@@EugeneOneguine Yup you cant mask boring, bland and uninspired composition in 8 bit. It has to be good.
We can clearly hear the hammer strike the anvil. It's really a well thought song. One of my favs!
1:35 gives me huge Shantae vibes. Jake Kaufmann is one of my favorite composers. I can't get over how awesome the soundtrack of this game is.
Now I know why this sounded so familiar. Bloodrayne Betrayal. And guess who the composer is? Jake Kaufmann. It sounded like he incorporated elements from various games OSTs
he has composed.
@@IllusiveMan343 He certainly has a signature style. It also took me a long time to learn, until I listened to his chip tune albums FX2, 3 and 4, that he was also the composer for Contra 4 on the Nintendo DS!
One of my top 20 songs the last 5 years. It's just so goddamn soulful.
This song is a stand out in a particularly well written soundtrack. One of the best ost of all the time imho

Chad Warden reviews Shovel Knight?
had this stick in my head for an entire day. FINALLY, ive found it.
If I were an evil overlord, I’d make this my theme song.
1:47 is my favorite part yet!
You should try to listen to Bach fugues.
Need covers of that theme !!
Always finding myself whistle this all the time, such a pleasant calm song :)
Should be the most popular song of Shovel Knight
Want to feel old? We are coming up on this game's 10th anniversary!
I love courage under fire

One of the best songs in the game this and starlit night
Your trials are far from over, but for now, you can rest your shovel.
Bard: Such a surly lot, those blacksmiths. All doom and gloom. At least they pay decently!
I love this song
This song reminds me of the Shining Force series on Genesis.
same!
Indeed
cuz this game its now indie just like shovel knight too
The beginning sounds like a song from I think Super Mario RPG or some other Mario game... I can't remember exactly what it was or what game it was even from, but it sounds a lot like it lel
I know this reply is very late but I'm pretty sure you're thinking of a track from bowsers inside story. I can't remember exactly which one it was but it's definitely from that game
Nigel Amara
Maybe
I actually think I know now. The "Inside Fawful's Castle" theme, near the end of the track there is a very similar tune to the beginning of this.
HAH this game grew on me soooooooooooooo much!
This track is surprisingly long
Imagine this: hot summer day, slaves at work, forced to make armour for the rich, if not beaten brutally at the end. A day ends.
Puedo perfectamente ir a una tienda de herramientas y poner esta cancion
Play this at 0.25 speed for something terrifying
I like to imagine this as Chester's theme.
I love me some Chester

If Plague Knight conquered Armor Outpost, why Shovel Knight didn't had a special event about it?
Canonically, Shovel Knight never returns to the Armor Outpost after his first visit
***** He really sucks at being hero.
TheNemesis432 He's also kind of a jerk, it's also canon that he leaves the whole Order of No Quarter hanging out of the tower, and that he sucker punches Plague Knight 2 times
***** It's sad to know, what all this time we've been playing for such an asshole. I'm absolutely sure him pickpocketing Baz (WITH HIS DAMN SHOVEL!) is a canon too (or and he also killed all enemies of The Wandering Travelers so they won't have an epic battle and won't save the day).
As for suckerpunching Plague Knight... I'm still surprised what he didn't grabbed his lost gold first before attacking Plague Knight. Isn't it like the first thing you always doing?
Where does it say that those things are canon? Also, Plague Knight probably would've seriously hurt Shovel Knight if Shovel Knight didn't attack, which wasn't really a sucker punch as it was a surprise attack and he probably only visited the armor outpost once because he purchased what he needed there. That's not being a bad hero.
The theme of trying to buy a hat
Can any of you hear this song in ANY JRPG? lol...I personally get not only Castlevania, but Dragon Warrior/Quest vibes from this song.
I've been redirected from a TF2 video using this as BGM. Can anyone tell me when this plays in Shovel Knight? It sounds like a potential boss fight music, but can be used for so much more. Sorry if I'm some scrub that hasn't ever really knows Shovel Knight, but I need to know what this music is from. (This is a really good game, isn't it?)
It actually plays in the background when you're in the second village in the overworld, which contains an armory.
Thanks dude! ^-^

Mario rpg vibes
This game has such a great soundtrack, but this song... what happened? It's almost feverish. I have to turn my volume down whenever I enter this town because my ears couldn't take it otherwise.
+AceAttorney Feverish? I always thought that this was the best song in the game. As much as I like Plague Knight campaign's songs and Treasure Knight (and Polar Knight) themes I like this more, because of this melody that shows struggles of chiva.. I mean, shovelry.
One of my top 20 songs the last 5 years. It's just so goddamn soulful.
