Excellent tutorial. I think this is the first tutorial I see where is shown how to use the device's accelerometer and not just the basic and lazy button configuration.
I don't know if I've ever had anyone say my tutorial was excellent before! Glad this was helpful, I had to share this feature because I had seen a lot in Discord & Facebook say they couldn't get Wii setup properly!
No problem man, I am covering all major emulation on this beauty in a playlist I have a ton of thumbnails already made up as well just need to do them which I've got a few more done already. Tomorrow is Gamecube, 3DS Saturday, Monday is PS2, then going down the list from there.
ayy you are an absolute stud for this guide. you just earned a sub from someone who makes a new gmail every 30 days (for scientific reasons) hell yeah this made my frigggin day
Awesome! That's why I did it, because Testing, Testing, Testing is what I did to study how to do this right. I remember up until approx 6 months ago I wouldn't play any motion games much because I couldn't find the accelerometer section.
@@DNAMobileGaming My only issue is with Mario Galaxy. Whenever I want to use the pointer I have to tilt my odin for it to show up and it's a bit fast for me lol.
@@Geovanny06 I did show how to setup the pointer you can set a button to show/hide the pointer which I swore I did? If not look for the setting to do this then select your hot key. Maybe I'll do a short for this.
@@DNAMobileGaming Yeah you only set it to auto hide. I saw the options to hide it with a keybind which I set to R3 but it did not seem to work. Maybe I'll try with another keybind once I get home.
I have a Retroid pocket 3 plus and it plays Wii OK, but only with a TON of settings and shaders and hacks turned on. Even with those on, it doesn't run perfectly. Wii on the Odin 2 looks nice.
I tried some mainstream games myself on the 3+ even the Odin 1 Pro didn't run nearly as good as the Odin 2 does. There's very little to no issues playing Wii and GameCube!
Awesome Videos! Thx for sharing your knowledge. Just wondering what kind of Thumbstick Extension Caps you are using? Struggling with the Small Sticks on my Odin Pro
Aah thx for the fast answer! Do you know if Odin(1) and Odin 2 have different Stick sizes? Just read that N.Switch Sticks are slightly bigger than Odin 1 sticks. Probaby Odin 2 = Switch size Sticks, since those caps made for the Switch?😬
Well the Odin 1 is Switch joycons sticks lol the newer joysticks on the Odin 2 are hall effect approx the same diameter but 10x better. The Odin 1 with these caps aren't amazing either because the joysticks are really flush to the bezel of the device.
So there is currently not rly a good solution to improve the O1 Sticks, except exchangig the complete Thumbstick i guess. What a pain😄 Thank you anyway for all the Informations
I ran into an issue where after setting up both cg and Wii controllers, I tried to set another and dolphin is not accepting when I click the physical buttons to bind them... I need to go in the setting cog on the right and actually select them from the drop-down. It's kind of a nightmare. Has anyone else seen this or have any ideas to remedy?
I'm not really sure what you mean I've never had issues setting up the controllers both with the Odin or external can you explain more so I can try to help?
@@DNAMobileGaming yeah I've researched a lot and no one else seems to be experiencing this either. But I attempt to tie the buttons to the on screen Wii or GC controls, but the Odin is not registering any buttons I press. It's so odd. No triggers or analog sticks or anything. What's weirder is I actually DID set one controller in each when I was first setting dolphin up. But now if I try to make a new controller or edit one of the existing ones I set up, when I try to use the physical Odin controls it just won't register.
@@DNAMobileGaming dude I figured it out, I had the key mapping software on the Odin still live so it was interfering with me trying to select the physical buttons somehow. I think I'm all in the clear now. Now I just need to understand how to bend a wiimote to my will depending on each game!
Yeah the problem with a lot of games is different controller profiles I searched far and wide to find the custom profile for Galaxy and shared it. I'll see what I can do for you tomorrow
Great tutorial bro. Can you make a video connecting multiple bluetooth controllers? I have trouble mapping my ps4 controllers through bluetooth when it comes to the control stick with dolphin I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong
I'll add that to the advanced setup for this, make sure you're selecting the PS4 controller in the input settings. I tested this with an Xbox One controller mind you the accelerometer part doesn't work because it doesn't have a gyro.
I've found with games like Kirby the controls have to be inputted inverted to get them to work properly in game.... you also need to disable the nunchuck in some games. I'm just wondering if there's an automatic way to do this with prec config controls like emudeck
You can use per game settings for certain games so if you have a profile for sideways WiiMote games like Kirby (not inverted btw you have to change your WiiMote direction) you can save that profile to Kirby and any other games like it.
I just got the odin 2 pro and my last configuration was Wii, GameCube was up and running but wii config was killing me. Thank you so much. Tested a few games and it is running flawless. Quick question, is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the right stick?
@@DNAMobileGaming I don’t know hahaha, can you do a video on how to set it up for Spider-Man shattered dimensions. So that it is all just button input?

Thank you so much for these videos. I wouldve been so lost on how to set mu Odin 2 up. I just got mine yesterday
woah motion controls! i really needed this for my 2s havent set it up yet but definitely will thanks so much for this!
Ok so yes I used this for the retroid pocket 2s and for me I found Vulken to run better
Definitely I haven't tried on the 2S but I think MMJR might be the best option for SOME Dolphin games.
Awesome thank you, I was hoping you'd do all the emulators to get up and running so this is a nice start and the Yuzu one you did!

No

What are the best button mappings for FPS games like Resident Evil 4 & Golden Eye 007 Wii?
I would suggest playing on GameCube but for Golden Eye 007 play on N64 way better easier experience. Unless you have a Dolphin Bar 😁
do u know why my games aren’t showing up? I don’t know anything abt this handheld and how to work it I was just gifted it.
Hey did you follow the step to import them?
If you dont mind the question, dose the retroid pocket 2s run dolphin? I know it probly can, but most games would run well for wii, right?
do you know how to configure the device so I can use the touchscreen as a pointer device, not the right stick?
Yes it's pretty simple actually.
Brilliant. Thank You.
