    Great content. This is the only show that gives me some understanding of how to use my light. Thanks

    the best thing to do is run the first four weeks of flower in 60% then bump up the light and raise the light to its optimal distance

    Would be very useful if you could include red:far-red ratio at dimmed power
    or if farred/IR lights can be dimmed together with white leds.
    Had massive stretch problems with mars fc3000 at 50% and didn't know why...
    Thank you

    I was wondering if you had any information about the fold 6 from medicgrow.

    I'm currently running Athena Blended line and thinking about switching after this run. Not because I'm dissatisfied, but because I want to try something else. Any recommendations on synthetic nutes growing in coco? I noticed Dutch Pro has a line specifically designed for ro water and coco that piqued my interest.

    So that means because he changed the dept at which the light was hung it changed the space (cake) and therefore keeping the frosting the same thickness and also saved electricity because ramping it up to 100 percent and needing to move the light 12 inches away is then causing more bouncing more loss and wasted light higher cost no? Cause ramping the light to 100 and spraying “frosting”over the entire cake box isn’t needed when you only need it on the cake

    Mars Hydro sp3000 is built for the 2x4 spacing which gives excellent distribution of lighting no lower than 800 ppfd including corners at 75% power at roughly 21 23 inches. I'm not an expert, but some lights seem to be built for a specific space or square footage for optimal ppfd. I would appreciate it if you can confirm this. Thanks for the knowledge!!! I'm sure everyone appreciate it. Cheers!!

    Great info! Lower lights, lower light percentage = lower light intensity throughout your whole canopy (worse buds). Higher lights hanging, fullly powered = maximum efficiency for canopy growth and light intensity for the plants

    So does the inverse square law not apply to led's......?

    • @DrMJCoco
      @DrMJCoco  6 месяцев назад

      The inverse square law describes how light spreads out while it travels through space. It really does not describe how light moves inside a reflective grow tent

  • @reyrox3274
    @reyrox3274 Год назад

    So its not that it’s not possible, you are just assuming the fixture can spread the light the same at a lower height. But if one could keep a 1000 ppfd everywhere the production would be the same no? A perfect matching light to space

    • @reyrox3274
      @reyrox3274 Год назад

      If the light has each light stream producing less but you move your space closer you get more streams… same amount of light?

    If u want big buds
    Last 6 weeks add two dimmable 400-watt HPS set at 25% 1 on each side .of your bar light. Use co2

  • @cjmarch30

    Well, just SHUT THE LIGHTS OFF COMPLETELY and you can lower them to 1/2 inch. See how that goes. Same idea.
    Sheesh.
