    Do I need to create new folders like 'gitlab_config' or 'gitlab_data' on the host server?

      Thank you. It should be created as part of volumes. You can create a volume folder and map to that location as well.

    One question: What would be the best way to back up the GitLab data (mainly the created repos with my projects)?

      You can use volume to have persistent storage for data and do a backup of the same.

    Hey, thanks for the tutorial. You are the best! I have one question about pricing. SaaS version has 5 users per namespace on free version. Is self-managed also has same limit with SaaS Free version?

    After deploying gitlab with docker I was wondering how I could proxy gitlab with another nginx deployed in a docker container. Since one server has only one port 80. I have read the full official documentation, but it never runs.thank you

      @@zayacz6258 hey no worries i figured it out, was a permissions issue..the socket file was not open so i just changed it to 777

    What advantages and real time scenarios do we have when we and our team can access Free Saas over local setup with docker?

      It's up to your organization. Less maintenance for Saas, may be more high availability based on what tier you purchase, other side higher costs mostly.

      Because you don't have a public ip. You need to create a dns and can assign that. You can also use ngrok

      Yes, you can use normal back up strategies.

      The volume is a location in your server on which docker is running. The volume files will be under the respective location. You can job to backup those files.
