Aegukga is the national anthem of South Korea. Known internationally as The Patriotic Song, #Aegukga was first adopted as South Korea's national anthem in 1948 when the country was first founded. The original composition dates back to the 1930s and is attributed to Ahn Eak-tai, with lyrics by either Yon Chi-ho or Agn Changho (the authorship is unknown). This beautiful anthem sounds majestic on piano, and this wonderful piano arrangement will have you falling in love with it!

The Original, Old Version of Korean National Anthem was started in hymn, and it has same structure of Auld Lang Syne. How did you know that!
The old national anthem had no melody, only lyrics. So old people sang the national anthem using the melody of Auld Lang Syne. Since 1940, the melody of the national anthem is part of the symphonic fantasy No.1 "Korea" composed by Korean composer Ahn Ik-tae.

The date of this video is significant in that 15th of August to koreans is remembered as 광복절(gwangbokjeol) which is The National Liberation Day of Korea. After 35 years of opression and discrimination by the Japanese Empire, which was forcing the erdication korean language and culture at the time, the day of freedom finally came to koreans.
The notes symbolize the joy of liberation and pain that the nation has been through. The lyrics sings not about dominance or conquest, but seeks protection from the god, loving the nation, preservation of the korean identity. It sings about how those ideals should not be forgotten.
Oh nice India Also has the same Independence Day.

Aug 15, 1945 is ROK's independence day(광복절, Gwang-bok-jeol) that independent from Japanese Empire. Today(Aug 15, 2020) is 75th Gwang-bok-jeol. I'm grateful for your korean anthem music sheet.

For those who don't know, 15th of August is the independence day of Korea, the day for commemorating the independence from the Japanese Empire. After 35 years of torture and suffering, Korea finally was able to be free from those dark days.
Also, the part that starts from 1:03 is a traditional Korean song called Arirang, which is one of the most famous and well known traditional piece of sheet in Korea.
