- Professional Precision Rifle Competitive Shooter, Dave Preston, gets Jim and Mark trained up for their first PRS match, the “Vortex Vengeance”. Dave is a long-range precision master. The level of detail he scrutinizes, practice he puts in, and number of matches he competes in, is truly next level. In this podcast, we go back to basics - or more accurately, start with the basics of a PRS match - as well as cover the things Dave does that will help you with your first match.

Awesome - good luck, Dan!
Having bought my first 2 vortex scopes this year, I really feel as though I'm amongst friends watching these tutorials. Thanx guys👍💥
Good stuff guys. Thank you
the mics on those AT headsets have great sound quality
Good stuff as always.
Great podcast
A complete show and tell on all the equipment needed for PRS would be good.
Pulse checked I’m in
S.W.A.G. Sophisticated wild ass guess. Haha
Scientific wild ass guess. 😂😂😂😂😂
Love these long range series. At some point can you guys get into the suppressed vs brake. I know for PRS competitions a brake is a better choice but curious if folks practice with their suppressors - what kind of stage would you use one - suppressors with anchor brakes like the OMEGA and HARVESTER - etc.
We appreciate it! That would be a pretty sweet topic to dive deeper into. We'll add it to the list! 👊
Glad ya didn't cancel the series :-) GREAT show. Love the "Vortex" talks... off the watch the next in series. Happy Shooting.
Great video! But I'm wondering why u guys r not promoting ur new wildcat at the match? Nothing better than a prs match to get some interests perked. Lol. Good luck and gun speed.
Upside down tree for hold under ?
Nice intro to the sport,,, question on the stages that you don’t dial, “ my eyes aren’t great” do you focus / adjust Parallax??
It would depend on the stage rules. Most will say that there is no touching the optic once the stage starts, so you would need your magnification and parallax set prior to starting. For a stage that has those rules with targets at various ranges most people will find a midway point to run the magnification and parallax settings.
@@VortexNation ,, thank you.. I’m one of the guys you talked about in the beginning, I want to get active in this but a little scared to jump in,,, the unknown I guess,, 🍻😎
@@johnwiley2114 That's awesome though! Definitely let us know if you have any questions come up.
