Nice Tutorial. I think Shapr3d needs to add modifiers like an array modifier. maybe add some traditional modeling tools like loop select, etc. However, Great stuff.

After you were done with the design will it let yu know how much the piece weighs or how many kt would the piece be

No this will only tell you the volume and you'll have to do your own conversion
