    Courtney, you are absolutely correct. But if you have a machine shop to make parts, know glass/carbon epoxy composites, have a good zig-zag sewing machine and the skills to sew sails it's cheep and a lot of fun! My current project is a Quicksilver GT280 (the very rare ultralight version of a GT400/500 with a Rotax 277). I got this as a pile of parts. Should have it flying by spring.
    P.S. I got in 2 flights in my Quicksilver MX yesterday...bundle up and keep flying!!

    Well said! This is why, as a mechanically inclined person, I know to avoid the over-priced projects. Of late, I've decided to build from scratch. This is because too many people have an inflated valuation of their project plane that has been sitting in their hanger, barn, or garage for years.

      @CourtneyTakesFlight , I know what you mean. That's why I haven't started mine yet. I don't like starting something I'm not sure I can complete.
