So often, the bad guys were also victims. I'm glad you included Tommy, from Vendetta, the episode where nobody won. Such a sad case. And the scene with Belinda Williams and Hutch from Losing Streak really grabbed me when I was 21 and the series first aired. That little echo of The Fix, when Hutch takes pity on a junkie, because he understands. I remember being stunned by the continuity. TV didn't usually do that. Etched it in my memory forever.

I think this is the main reason we love 'em that much.
They were two good souls with compassionate hearts, two people in whom we could rely on. This is my social vid and it shows that even the scum that inhabits the city, we can trust 'em 'cause they protect us. Never failed to succeed though sometimes it proved difficult. They always overcame every obstacle to do their work.

...Yep, i don't know why either. I just get a message that says it can't be viewed on a mobile! I have only recently bought my tablet so I am still learning, but I couldn't see a way around it. Have just cranked up the ol' coal-fired PC and managed to watch it.... looked like a pretty intense episode!
That guy from Vendetta, Jim from Lady Blue... yeah! and all the underprivileged people who live in Bay City -in Starsky's own words- they cared to protect. They protect'em all. Sally, Joey -though rich-... it would have been an everlasting vid if I put all the people they fought to protect!

I just searched the song title with "lyrics" and that's what came up. I didn't find exactly this version by Depeche Mode, but lots of others, mostly live. Judging by the live performance videos, they aren't all electronic. This suits well, and it's long enough that it doesn't cramp your style. I like driving rock, as long as it doesn't screech, and has some substance. There's even a bit of a tune. Shows more when Johnny does it, though. ;-)

My personal request, should you have the time and inclination some day, is to do one with Starsky walking... or even just standing around!!! he he....loved the way he used to run, walk or even just stand!! I haven't watched Starsky and Hutch since I was a teenager, but I remember everything little detail..... I had it baaaaad!!! ... and obviously still do! lol
I don't know if the Cash's version lyrics are the same, though I heard it. The lyrics maybe aren't as appropiate as I'd like 'em to be, but the "your own Personal Jesus ... someone who hears your prayers, someone who cares .... someone who's there..." went straight to me!

I meant the video is dark, dear, not the song. I was afraid the whole thing would be quite different, from the title. You had me worried. But a couple of viewings, and I was relieved and pleased. Our boys protect and serve Bay City, and especially their kingdom, their beat, the darkest part of the city. "...Lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer..." Yep.
