I'm not too scared of the dark anymore but if it goes black unexpectedly I'll freak out. Try turning the lights off of your own will and it'll be less scary.

I work at a theme park as a ride operator, and we actually have a rule where we can't let anyone on the ride who's genuinely terrified or doesn't want to ride. Sorry you had such a crap experience, rides are supposed to be fun, if it's not fun for you, then you definitely shouldn't do it. Glad you're okay now though. :)
Man, I wish that were more common. When I was little, I was terrified of scary things, but my Mom forced me to go on this little haunted house maze ride at the festival and I HATED it. I got lost and broke down. The actors had to finally just break character and carry me out. I grew up to actually really love scary stuff, but for some reason, I was petrified of anything like that until I hit around 13.
@@MokohiChanI had this with a lake that had an entire swimming thing set up with rides and everything, my stepmom made me get on one that was a really tall blown up thing you had to climb, then swing from the top off a rope and pull a Tarzan. I did it and after I told her she forced me to do it again because she didn’t get a photo, the person who was doing it let me get lower down so I don’t go under as long, it was a slow swing and in the video she was literally laughing at me.

I've never been able to understand why people fear darkness. I personally feel a lot calmer when in total darkness

I went on the Tower of Terror when I was little. It scared me, and I remember crying to my mom that I didn't want to do it once we were already on the ride. I also asked a lot of questions because I had myself convinced that the events displayed were real.
Agreed, the second time I went on it and just closed my eyes, therefore I didn’t really experience anything
For a while, horror movies scared me, but thanks to my cousin I told him to be afraid and now I can watch horror videos alone

Sweetie, I have a fear of scary movies too and dropper rides, so you're not alone. One time when my brother was visiting our family for the Summer (he's US Air Force and was in between assignments), we all went to one of our local amusement parks. He wanted to ride a jumper ride there and wanted me to go on with him. I kept saying no, but then he had to do something that he knew would change my mind- he dared me and promised to go on any ride of my pick. So yeah, I never turn down a dare like that, especially with the promise of retribution. So I went on that ride, hated it, and purposely picked a ride I knew he wouldn't like- a rollercoaster. He once got hurt on a rollercoaster (nothing serious, just banged around and got bad whiplash). And this wasn't any old rollercoaster either, this was one of those rides that makes you feel like you're going to hit your head at anymore moment, at least if you were tall, which my brother is lol. Once we got off the ride, he turned to me and said, "Are you sure you don't prefer the Scream (named of that dropper ride)?" My brother doesn't dare me to do those kinds of things anymore and yes he did know I hated jumper rides prior to that dare.
Oh gosh, when I was younger I was forced to go on the tower of terror, (a dropper ride) and absolutely hated it, cried forever, then when I was older and went back to Disney land I was like, Oh im older now, probably wasnt that bad. I regret going on it, dropper rides are litterally my least favorite rides ever 😩

Wolfychu I agree 1000% with you about the haunted mansion and jumper rides.
When I was younger, my parents, my uncle, my cousin and I were waiting in linefor the haunted mansion ride. I was shaking the whole line and when we finally got through the doors I had a MASSIVE panic attack! It was so bad that my mom asked the employee in charge to let me out through the emergency exit. I was about 11 or 12 at the time, I'm in my late 20's now and I haven't even thought about trying it again.
As for the jumper rides, I just don't even look at them. I am afraid of heights and afraid of falling so those types of rides are completely out for me.
Reminds me of my childhood fear of spider webs. Not spiders, well, those too. Spider webs. They still make me slightly unseasy.

I’m afraid of balloons. More specifically, rubber balloons. I am somehow sensitive to people rubbing their hands on it, and having the balloons pop is the worst part. There are also other RUclipsrs who have irrational fears, like Jaiden, Rebecca from Let Me Explain, and SomethingElseYT. Wolfychu, you are not the only person in the world who have weird fears.

I’m pretty sure with the haunted mansion ride, it doesn’t break down, but it’s because they had to stop the track so disabled people can get on and off. My grandma was disabled and they always had to stop it for her.
Also my biggest fears are definitely submerged animatronics/statues, needles, heights, being kidnapped, someone breaking in my house, and big drop rides.
Btw I’ve been on many drop rides like the Disneyland stuff and other SoCal theme park rides solely because I like them, but I HATE the feeling of falling. I’ve always hated it.

My fears:
-Being Alone in a dark empty room.
-Any large body of water where I CAN NOT see the bottom of or if it's even murky. (Active imagination + Thalassaphobia = unpleasant result.)
-Breaking up or losing contact with my husband. (I moved during quarantine when we wanted to make thing official sadly so we're currently apart. However he's managed to get an interview for a job and also already has a space for him, his brother, and I. Probably leaving to be with him in a few weeks or months hopefully..)
-Being Forgotten.
-Being alone with a group of people I don't really know or trust. (Exceptions are if Ive known you forever or half my life and/or are family.)
-The things that linger outside our view and at the edges of reality. Although I'm not really scared, more so I'm.. unusually very cautious when it comes to the unknown. (Supernatural, anomalies, paranormal ghost stuff, ect.)

random story abt one of those dropper rides so… yk how they have like leg separators? yeah when i went on it it like a metal bar that went inbetween ur legs probably to stop u from sliding off, anyway i went on the ride and i was fine bc it was pretty slow but when i got off.. i forgot the metal bar was there so i tried sliding of my seat to get off and smashed against the metal bar, luckily im not a man bc that wouldve been much worse but that still felt like my soul acended, since its embarrsing to say anything and to me being embarrassed is the worst thing that could ever happen, i dident do anything or say anything to my friend who was next to me and i think probably saw the whole thing, she kinda just looked at me in confusion tho bc i was pulling the most uncomfortable scrunched up looking face ever whilst i was trying not to cry, ( im fairly sure i was bleeding aswell from that..)
I don't wanna freak wolfychu out more but droppers are far worse then what she thinks , i mean the one she went on was probably a professionally made one like at Disney or something
but there was this video of a girl and her family or friends going to one of those shady theme parks that are put up in a few hours and taken down and move around , and the girl was going up however a lose cable had got caught around her legs and I think the machine broke or something but she basically got her legs removed
I don't remember if she got them reattached or not but they sued the amusement Park owner I think again I don't remember the details as it was a old video
It's probably taken down now or in one of those top 10 or something videos but yeah I stopped going to those cheap amusements parks after that

Though the ride story gave me anxiety. It reminded me of when I went on the shark ride at Six Flags. I hate upside down rides and I had to go on 3 times. ;-;
