@@michaelhead2966 Not sure as I don't have a rifle or the Chronograph. I should imagine it is bluetooth and a case of your phone scanning to find it. Good look
I'd be very interested in seeing a mounting option that secures the chronograph to the bottle and places it in front of the bottle and under the barrel.
Trying to decide between MK2 and V2 versions of FX Chrono for .177 . What would FX recommend? I do have Huma 40 moderator mounted and I would use FX chronograph mount.
Mk2 ?? We have the V2 , original one or the True ballistic chronograph? But in pocket size the V2 is you best choice,As long as you put it 5cm from the muzzle
@@FXAirguns i meant, second revision of first model ( with only barrel mount and without tripod mount) or newer, V2 model. Ok, V2 it is. I'll make sure to leave my feedback over here. Thank you! Edit, you said muzzle, but 5cm from moderators end is ok, too?
What if you have a 6” moderator? It is bad for harmonics to hang of the barrel. Especially for 700mm Panthera or 700mm Crown. Why the need to buy an extension to place a mini radar on my Panthera. The v1 radar worked just fine without an extension. Defeats the purpose of a smaller radar
Mine works and detects all .177 shots. But I wonder if the velocity readings are correct? For now, I have nothing to compare it to. My new HW100 rifle for the JSB Exact .177 has readings of 672fps. It is not enough. And now I don't know where the problem is - HW100 or FX pocket radar v2. Have any of you had such a problem?
I bought one and when it worked it was a joy, but after only two weeks it stopped picking any shot up, IE either calibres. So I returned it and got a refund, also on other forums I’ve read that other V2 owners have encountered the same issues, very poor given its price point and supposed upgrade from the older incarnation.
Mine picked up every single shot on my .177 compatto but i get loads of ghost shots recorded all at around 1100fps so i have returned it! Could just be a faulty unit but very disappointing.
Hi. I have the same problem too. I have FX Impact M3 .177 and this chronograph cannot work. I tried many positions. Nothing. It starts, it connects to the phone and then nothing!!! Any advice? Is FX going to do anything about this? Thank you
My cheap and old "prochrono" Works very good for my 177... Don't believed about all the RUclips hype about fx product... They just want your money, bad qc on upgraded part and also the price is not equal to the quality... Expensive but very bad qc and bad cuatomer support..
@@FXAirguns Like i said Ive tried placing it everywhere that includes 5cm from the muzzle obviously. The only place i havent tried is directly on the pellet as it leaves the muzzle maybe i should try that. Edit: No offense to you sir, I know your trying to help. Just frustrated it won’t registre and im using the same moderator btw.
@@FXAirguns i am facing the same problem below 14 grains it not detecting but above 14 grains it is detecting all the time, i tried as per your video but no use sometimes it pics means out of 20 shots may be 1 or 2. Pls fix it in update
Hi , with the bigger calibers that is a good option as well , but with the 177 depending on de diameter optic you might get readings slightly lower then when mounted near the muzzle .
Like i commented below, I dont think this chronograph is a good option for .177. FX should acknowledge this and not recommend it for other than larger caliber guns. It should´t be necessary to hunt and search for a sweet spot, emptying a tank of air and a tin of pellets in order to make it work. This just confirms that the margins are small. I did not get readings above approx 750 fps regardless of location.
@@FXAirgunsno it is picky on a 700mm Panthera/Crown of not within about 10” of the muzzle. Add 6” for moderator. Then it needs to be mounted on barrel. So now you’re saying I need to be an extension to make it work on longer barrels. V1 worked a lot better
What he’s saying is that it’s not super easy for a chronograph to pick up the tiny .177 caliber pellet because it’s so small. I don’t have this particular chronograph but I have the same problem with all my .177 caliber rifles with other chronographs, and seems like the faster the rifle is shooting, the harder it is for the chronograph to detect the pellet and the closer to the tip of the barrel I have to put the chronograph in order for it to detect the .177 caliber pellet. I don’t have the same problem with the .22 caliber pellets, they seem to be detected much easier, bigger mass, easier to detect. With my other chronographs, the batteries are a problem, when they go down in power a little, the pellet detection starts to fail randomly and I have to replace the batteries and problem fixed. I think that the laser based chronographs are more power hungry than other types, when the power starts to go below 80%, they start to fail randomly.
Well, it should have been designed better. I saw lots of FX's this past weekend at an FT match. All in .177. I guess y'all didn't think about those guys. A product shouldn't have to be that hard to use.
Great instructive video. Certainly a nice and handy chrono
Thanks !
How do you get it to talk to you on ya phone mine doesn’t. I’ve enabled vocals.

Do these work with pistols? 5cm is quite a bit of barrel on a pistol..

How and what to do to convert m3 .177 mm calibre to .22mm calibre
Returned it also. Tried everything and even went to local store and used different .177 rifles and still did not work.
Are you using a large moderator?

In what environment are you using it ? If you use it indoors close to tube light bulbs the radar gets triggered due to the flickering in the light .
@@FXAirguns no i was using it outside on an overcast day in a field.
