You are the first person I've seen to make the connection between the bodies behind the boxes and the talking cards. Even I didn't notice that detail until you pointed it out! Well done!
@@RaspberryBerrey if you do the risk thing with the worm, they will eat the ring worm. Eating ring worm gives you a parasite and a disease, so the campfire people leave the campfire, making the risk event no risk, enabling you to upgrade your cards almost infinitely
5:52 So this is a hint that sigils don't always do what they say they do - or what you assume they'd do. I'll have to do more experiments to see if it applies to Chapter 1, but in Chapter 2 cats don't actually have infinite lives, they have 9. Once you've sacrificed a cat 9 times it comes back as a zombie cat, loses the sigil, and becomes a 3/5
The leaf that becomes available once you get the plant lets you re-roll your card choices. You also can use a campfire multiple times, with each use increasing the chance you lose your card for more stats.
@@silk3887 You have to win against the Trader/Trapper (3rd boss fight) And then either die after or win without the film roll, to keep playing this part of the game

I'd say it's a creepy/disturbing game (perhaps more so considering the dev's other games), but it's more more Lovecraftian creeping dread/despair than shock/horror
Uhhh 30:08 theres a clock on the table with 11 on top. Also, I believe sometimes when picking cards theres a plant sapling, clicking that will possibly reroll the cards. Can't remember the dialogue when you picked up the plant. Amywayyyy. Thankssss Reto!(づ｡◕‿‿◕｡)づ
@@maxpower8549 It definitely is a four leaf clover, but I think it gives you the reroll chance rather than an overall bonus. The dialogue when you get the plant is definitely along the lines of 'Don't you like the cards I dealt you?'
My deck was fairly broken for the last fight. I had squirrels that summoned bunnies, which guaranteed a one turn summon of my 6 attack trifurcated fused wolf. Stinkbug also reduced the final enemy to 0 attack. His comment made me laugh.
