Very nice wagon! My first car was a 1968 Belvedere wagon that my mom bought brand new in 68. It was the same exterior color, but it had gold interior and came with the 383 engine. I got it in the 70's when I was 14 and started fixing it up on my own, (rebuilt the carb, replaced the water pump, recored the radiator and rebuilt the brakes etc...). I got everything done before I got my drivers license at 15. We painted it turqoise blue metallic after fixing some minor rust spots. I loved the 383! It was a great first car, everything worked well and never let me & my friends down. I sold it when I was 17 to get another car. One neat thing about the tailgate is that it opens like a door or flips down like a pickup truck tailgate.

Back in 1975, I built one of these I bought in Colorado while stationed at Ft. Carson, I bought off the CO Highway Patrol, that had a 383/4 brl dual exhaust Commando engine with 3:09 posi trac. It was all white with a blue roof, driven by the Highway Patrol Accident Investigation Officer ! I ended up scoring a totaled same year Road Runner, with a friend of mine, off his insurance company after he was rear ended by a dump truck! So he stripped the entire drivetrain, while I got the interiors bucket seats an console, instrument panel, and entire front clip, along with the “beep beep” horn! Then turned my plain Jane wagon, into a Road Runner Beach Wagon! I even bought three Road Runner Wiley Coyote stickers, one for each front fender and one for the right side of the tailgate. I had so much offers to buy that wagon! But when I was planning my trip home, I needed the room to lug all my stuff home. But when I got back to Rhode Island, Mass. area I was able to get twice the money for the wagon with not a spot of rust.

What a beauty! I’ve lived Beach/Station Wagons forever! That sounds amazing! Is that a 318? Sounds like a 383! Is love to build one! Either a Satellite or Belvedere, using the bucket seats and front clip off a Road Runner!

Nice !!! The glass in this wagon is very clear, New glass or just polished ??? Growing up we had a 59 Dodge wagon with a push button transmission, a 1967 Plymouth wagon and a 1973 Plymouth wagon. The 1973 wagon had over 200 thousand miles on her and 2 different motors. None of them sounded as good as this wagon sounds.

Sounds healthy for a 318 car.

you can do fair bit with the 318, never be screamers but you can build them to develop an honest 350ft lbs of torque and still be decent on fuel.

Looks sort of like a road runner at first glance.

Any one know what the ball park worth is of a 1969 Belvedere wagon that runs great with a slant 6. Body isn’t as nice as the one in this video, but it is in good condition. It’s all stock. Thanks

I got one in or around 78 for $150.00 It was in real nice shape but not near as nice as this one, I only had to put a muffler on it. Ugly as heck yellow with red interior. I ended up just giving it away to someone.
