"African Art Letter Opener" for those wooden knives.
Yes. They are probably from Kenya; mid century.
Yes, African carvinhs.
Yes letter openers Anthony stay safe carole
Dad brought couple back from south east Asia.
Just discovered your channel. You're everything I like about a thrifter... cool, calm and quiet/low key. I cant stand the loudness and obnoxious ways of some other resellers. You just scored a faithful viewer. ❤👍
Well thank you so much, I really appreciate that!
@@FroggyFlips 👍
Agree
Agree 100%
Did you pick up that horse thinking it was $3? but it said $300 🤣🐸👍💵💵💵💵
The “wooden knives” are more than likely letter openers.
I was a telephone operator in the early 70’s and these were the type of headsets we wore on the old pbx boards. But very quickly advanced to tsps computerized positions with modern headphones. 🙂
I used to watch Dr Quinn with my grandma. She loved that show
I had actually forgot who I was watching until I spotted that Indiana scarf in the vid. lol
This is why I love america , lot of collectors of items here
Dr. Quinn was a big score 👌
Nice finds ,Goatta love Elliot. " whatcha doing? " " a froggy flips video " " oh " runs off screen LOL love him soo cute.
I love sales like that where it's obvious someone was well traveled. Last time I went to one very similar, I kept a lot of the stuff for myself
Froggy walks into house and starts looking at stuff
Owner.. What are you doing?
Froggy… I’m here for the sale
Owner…. What sale?
I usually go to the basement first at Estate sales. That's where they keep all the stuff they held onto for decades. Too valuable to throw away... so they put it in a box in the basement.
The "wooden knives" are letter openers. Beautiful!!!
The wooden knives are letter openers. Also, nice score on the Dr. Quinn set! Another one to look out for is the Will and Grace set, 33 DVDs in a "cube". That also brings around $100 on a good day.
The Murder She Wrote dvd set will snag you a hundred bucks as well.
Awesome, I’ll keep an eye out for those!
@@FroggyFlips Also, Star Wars: The Clone Wars box set sells for close to $200 if you can find it.
Letter openers! Cool!!
Wow. Beautiful Home and so much gold everywhere !!! Great Finds !
Dr. Quinn!!! 🥰
Wooden letter openers!!
Dr, Quinn! I loved that show so much.
Estate sales are so fun man. I started last month and have been doing really well. Can't wait for winter to be over! I heard there aren't as many in winter. I've lived in a historic neighborhood for 4 years and don't even want to imagine all the good stuff I've missed. 😂
Nice finds! I'm jealous that you have estate sales that are actually reasonably priced. Mine are crazy high!
Great haul! I love these POV videos with the follow up!!
Not sure I could roll over in bed and see that Donald Duck picture. Haha. You always find the unusual! Believe the elephants are letter openers.
You are so good at what you do Anthoney! I always enjoy watching your hauls and learning from you. As pickers, we can’t know everything, so it is great that we all learn from each other.
I believe those wooden knives are letter openers They help you open the envelope
Those wooden knives are letter openers. Back in the 80's, we had employees that traveled for work and brought those back from Thailand and such as souvenirs.
I love estate sales! I went to 4 today. And scored on 42 records total. And seen a ton of cool stuff met a ton of cool people and heard some cool stories from the "kids" (grown adults) that were working at their parents estate sale. I have the best time ever and I love the artwork you can find. I bought an Oliver Quevedo "Love Story" Limited Edition print for $5 and should have pulled the trigger on an R. LANZI oil painting of what I would assume is opra man and umbrella with guitar or cello.
Froggy!!! You MUST design large totes with your special spin on them & carry them with you to your sales 😀. My friend taught me to take multiple totes with me to Estate/Garage sales. It makes finding & carrying treasures SOOOOOO MUCH EASIER. I 💚 watching your videos!!!
11:05 I always love those mini heart attacks. Keeps the blood pumping xD.
Hey I know you like yard sales. I live in Delavan ny on route 16 they have a ton of sales. Old toys vintage and more. It's a whole street full of sales
Dr. Quinn the medicine woman🥳🥳👍👍👍
You are the best stacker/carrier of multiple items I have ever seen!
Nice stuff. I would have picked up the macrame wall hanging.
Loving all of your videos buddy! You are an inspiration! Still praying over you and your family! Hope your wife is doing good!
Hi Anthony, Great finds at the Estate sale. You already know what the 2 animal knives are ....😁 Sometimes stuff just slips our minds when were looking at a bunch of items. Lots of cool stuff there. Stay safe 😷 & ✌
I have that same Sony transistor radio......20 years old and still works great. Paid $9.99 at Sears for it new.
The art, frames, paintings, ooooooh the list goes on! Lots of treasure there! I'm so jealous lol.
Im thrifting vicarious through you. We're doing pretty good. lmao
Wow nice eye as always that Dr Quinn set $5 deal on that love watching as always hun stay safe 😊
Those wooden knives were likely letter openers
Thank you, I feel like an idiot 🤣
What a beautiful home! Those wooden knives looked like letter openers.
I would have spent hours going through all the books looking for any first edition of signed books. Some seemingly insignificant books can bring hundreds.
The dumbbells would also be easy movers with everything going on right now depending on what they were asking for them.
Dang I would have gone nuts on that bookshelf in the living room. For $2 a piece you can’t go wrong on those leather bond classic books. I’ve had crazy good luck on them before even if they take a few weeks to sell.
Actually not intentionally contradicting you but my Mom had one or two of those. They are designer plate canvases. My mother used to decorate her house with them too.
Great haul! I would have picked the entire contents of that wire drawer. Dr. Quinn, good one!
Yeah looking back, probably should’ve just grabbed everything.
Very cool haul. So much fun! Those wooden things might be letter openers.
If the wooden letter openers seem unusually heavy, they may be “ironwood”. I have an eagle carved from it and have noticed some people collect it.
Thanks man! That’s definitely helpful!
Definitely ebony. I own plenty like them.
Wooden knives at about 24:00 appear to be ironwood letter openers.
You find good junk! Enjoy watching you and your family. Merry Christmas ⛄🎄 and God's blessings to you and your family.
Great finds. That lady had some very interesting and Awesome things. TFS
The colored leather bound books with gold lettering looked like they might have been "Easton Press" books. If only 2.00 each - they sell from 20 to 60+, depending on title and edition.
So was that sell in franklin tennessee. You came to tennessee to go to that sale
That was a nice house with lots of nice stuff. I'm glad you got some great deals.
*You need a couple Ikea bags. Although you were moving so fast, I could not see many prices, I think I would have needed a U-haul to carry what I would have bought there. I would have bought every single area rug for sure and a lot of the porcelain*.
Yeah, there were definitely a lot of high prices but definitely some cool stuff!
I love watching your videos. I am Filipino I worked here in Dubai
Damn that was a great haul. I think i woulda grabbed pretty much the exact same stuff you did. I probably woulda just passed on the dvd player and not looked for the cords and then i woulda missed out on ton of great free sony stuff!
That historic Franklin picture was cool
i know this was from 2020 but i believe those wooden knives are letter openers
Awesome sale! Great story too!! ✌❤🐸
Thank you!
wooden Knives are letter openers. Looks like teak or ebony. The wood alone has value.
As everyone has already told you the wooden knives are letter openers. Also they are more than likely hand carved African letter openers. A letter was a means of communication in the days before the internet. Guess that means they're also vintage.
Hey, if you want to go look in that drawer of cash, you might find the cable you're looking for. I absolutely love estate sales, good stuff Froggy!
Great finds! My kind of estate sale!😎
hey just found your videos and subscribed! My husband and I go to estate sales and flip mostly books, but anything I can make a few bucks on! I appreciate watching and learning from other flippers and wanted to let you in on something I saw you missed. That mother of pearl jewelry box when you were checking out was marked $15 I believe. I bought a round oriental styled one at an estate sale last year for $3 that was repaired (aka glued back together) and it sold on ebay for $200! So fyi...check out any jewelry boxes with MOP.
Froggy Flips scores again! Nice!
Do you still have her book ?!! I’d be interested in buying it, very intrigued by this woman and her life story, very interesting. Her travels, her accomplishments, her work. The history alone in that house just spoke volumes of a lifetime. I looked up the book 📖 on Amazon, basic love story from WWll era, so maybe 🤔 just maybe that was her father, brother flag from that era. Anyway, Ty for that haul and the bits and pieces I did learn on such an interesting woman. Again, I’d be interested in the book if it’s still available.
I just recently discovered your channel and love watching your hunts. You’re so friendly and courteous. I see you replacing items back where you got them, and gently. I’ve seen so many people just toss stuff. ( it’s not theirs). Thanks for tips and info.
Question- do you sell or donate the Bibles ?
The Bible. No. 1 best seller of all time.
That print in the entrance way is by Bernard Buffet and could easily sell for $500.
I'm, like, yelling at you from here (lol) because of all the good stuff you passed up.... All those old books?! Why weren't you looking for first editions? You need me to do this stuff with you. Dynamic duo lol!
Pick up the pottery... omg... you're killing me smalls
Great finds! I just Love estate sales💕💕💕💕
Thank you, me too!
That old man was after you😅 he sure was making sure you didn't grab his pile
The wooden knives are letter openers
Great job as always, thanks for sharing
Nice.. Eye/Hand coordination on the catch. Ha!
It's funny that you pick up the same things i would. I look at something in the video and you pick it up.
I wished I'd been at that house sale. I would be retiring.
You persevered and found some cool stuff..at first I thought it was going to be a bust.
I did too...but I ended up really happy with that little haul. Thanks for watching!
Nice Haul
Letter opener, the elephant wooden knifes, I’m pretty sure.
You’re right, thank you!
Congrats Anthony to reached 10k subscribers
I would of bought so much more. Books a great deal and good money
Nice job dude !
The bibles are really a sensitive item. Such a personal item that is grabbed for profit.
The flag is a casket flag that would have been draped on the casket of someone who served. They are not supposed to be unfolded after they are folded after the funeral. Someone must have taken yours out and refolded it because the stripes are not supposed to show once it's been folded. When I come across them I take them to the legion to be properly destroyed in a flag ceremony.
Ty, being a daughter of a Vietnam Veteran, and also a Native American, we hold those flags with honor ❤️💛🤍🖤 and the upmost respect ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽 That house was so intriguing. Ty for acknowledging the flag and the value within the value.
@@tammywellsgarcia2377 My Dad also served in Vietnam. I was born after he was deployed.
You missed the Chinese Familoal Rose bowl in the library on the table. Could be worth a bundle at Sotheby's Asian Auction. 6 figures!
carvings. Was 5 Asian pieces on the table all together and at least one on the bookshelves.
There was lots of amazing stuff...the problem was the prices. I think most of the stuff there ended up going to auction.
What are we not supposed to pass up? Was it the DVD box sets?
Hey buddy! Picked up a brand new sealed ceiling fan remote at gw for only $3. Comps for this model sell for $35 + shipping. Going to resell it eventually lol.
Awesome score bro!
Good job!
Great haul! Do you sell FBA or you ship yourself on Amazon?
If you make a shirt that says Easy Flippins... I'll buy one for sure!!!
Wood knifes are envelope opener
One day, this will be each one of us, worked our whole life to have strangers come in like vultures picking everything apart. So depressing.
What happened to the universal studios scene item?
Great sale! Loved the history behind everything. Thanks for the info
Thank you, I enjoyed that too!
Good finds thanks for sharing
The artwork throughout was for sale. I would loved to of gotten a better look at it.
Good score Congrats!
