I'm sure some people still dislike me complaining about **3** people counting me.
But after talking to other streamers who also played ow1 for years I learned I'm allowed to not like it. If you play to ruin my gaming experience "for the win" I'm gonna tbag simple as that
i dont think someone counterswaps to 'ruin ur gaming experience', i think they counter cuz in all actuality its the point of the game in comp. taking it personal tho then maybe just play qp

Playing tank is just fighting instant counters, then the team blames you bc you cant play the game. So irritating, I swear
Yes it is quiet Annoying, but I say skill issue because good players will know how to play into counters. I once play monkey onto Mauga and won but I had to very discipline with my bubble and my engagements.
Wrong, the game is dumbed down. You can only do so much into counters. The only reason why tanks win against counters is because of supports 99% of the time.

@tristantobias42 this is technically only true at the highest level buddy, and proof if it exists in every unranked to GM on every hero that exists. Until you're at the highest level...skill issue.

No I agree. Playing tank right now is so miserable. Wanna play Winston? They switch roadhog. wanna play dva? Go zarya. Like it's just back and forth back and forth and then they counter you with DPS. The role is so miserable right now.
Sometimes I find it fun to counterswap to mirror their choice. Sometimes it annoys them. Sometimes. I do need booze though to play this game.
Yet another reason why 6v6 should be added back!!! This game fundamentally does not work with one tank.
@FatPigeon-6 yeah like it's so difficult to do anything. Peel for supports because flankers or hold front line and make space? And if you lose it's always your fault regardless. So miserable.
To an extent, I find the toxicity in this game amusing.

I’ll avoid counter swapping but the moment someone counter swaps I’ll counter swap the HELL out of them.
I like to swap to their hero and mirror. And try to diff them so hard on their chosen hero. They counter? Swap again to their new hero hah.
You have to play weird games and do side quests like this to enjoy tank tbh.
@@Klyttorius its just a sad truth. tanks need to do an honor system to have any semblance of fun on their character. and tank mains are so neglected they actually end up doing it 9 times out of 10.
honestly, i don't even really think tank countering is an issue, ram into rein is still a good matchup regardless on who the favorable outcome is. its the "Dreaded four"(orisa, sigma, roadhog, mauga) that are the main issue. each one of the dreaded four are designed to counter certain tanks and have stupid amounts of sustain, and counterswapping to THEM is just scummy.
i don't even mind when people hard lock the dreaded four. at least they are committed to them and won't counter swap literally any attempt of you having fun. when i decide its time to spam "Your welcome" while going brrrr i won't pick any other dreaded four for the match regardless on what the enemy tank picks, if they go orisa, ill just suck it up, or go my main if im being hard countered to the point of doing literally nothing.
this is completely ignoring dps and support countering. which is just like...even if tanks are being honorable doesn't mean its an even fight. and honestly, i won't complain if someone locks mauga because my team suddenly goes pharah, echo to melt him because their junkrat+tracer refuse to help them.

That’s the thing with tank - if you are too good, they’ll counter, but that’s where you either counter them or have your team pick up the slack because they are all gunning for you

Watching people suffer on tank always makes me glad i retired from overwatch when i did. I used to love tank in OW1, it was so fun. Now its just a slog shit fest of counterpicking and everyone blaming you cause you cant do anything.

"Counter swapping is part of the game" never sat all the way right with me as an argument because Overwatch is notorious for having some of the worst balance issues, to the point they have to make patches every new season. Sometimes mid season. The game would be so much better if it just focused of having fun characters with fun abilities. Too bad they never made a pve multi player game. I mean, who the heck wants a game with compelling characters and story lines? Silly me.

I think counterswapping to counter what the enemy team is doing or to support your team is a good thing, but this 'strategy" of counterswapping the tank and only the tank needs to be killed somehow. I'm not even sure it wins games due to the dps and supports being given more free reign, instead it mostly just focuses on making one player have a bad time.
It's fine if tanks counter each other or mirror, BUT when it comes to the dps countering, it's just... UNHONOUR AGHHH
There should be swap tokens implemented
I try not to counterswap however when I come out on doom and the enemy team has brig, cass and sombra I’m swapping immediately to counter their tank because I want to have fun and not get railed

Can't stand people who get mad about someone being angered by counterswapping. You can tell they've likely never played tank in their life and are likely the ones that counterswap on dps or supp. "It's part of the game" so is Widow's 1-shot, Bap's lamp, Sombra's hack, Sojourn's entire kit, Ana's nade, Kiri's suzu and tp and non-existent hitbox and high ass headshot multiplier, and Bastion, and Torb, and Sym, and Junkrat, and Mei, and Zen discord. All things those same people complain about but when a tank complains about being miserable "it's part of the game just deal with it"

When playing phara you should fly up a bit and aim at their feet when shooting from a distance this made my direct accuracy go from 10% to 40-30%
Just like playing Soldier in Tf2: aim for the feet and aim slightly ahead of them in whatever direction they're moving.

11:49 - the people who get most upset at tank players for flaming the counterswappers are the same people who never play tank and only play the "counter the tank" minigame.
