Forget about the information sir, I was stopped from filming here without any valid reason. Only after an argument they allowed me to film here..
Same happened at somanateswara temple of Nuggehalli.. They stopped me from filming there too. Since I wasn't in a mood to argue again, I didn't film there. this is the same story with every other temple which are protected under ASI.
Our effort to create awareness about our rich culture and heritage is hampered by these so called care takers who impose rules as per their whims and fancies although there are no restrictions for photography and filming as per ASI, using handheld cameras. Restriction is for tripods, crane & drone

Brilliant work i have even seen of an ancient temple of India. God bless you. Some corporate or large hearted businessman should arrange for a thorough pressure washing of the entire temple complex to restore its beauty. I wish some one comes forward to do this work and better access road and parking facilities are created and nominal entry ticket be issued to sustain the beauty of this great heritage work of 13th century. It is exactly 777 years old. Thanks for the production of sucn a wonderful video and soothing background music and crisp editing and great phtography

I understand if they don't allow me to film inside worshiping temples. But i was stopped from filming outside many remote unknown ancient temples even after repeated requests. Only after an argument i was allowed to film, even in this temple. The rule says that every Indian has the right to film using an hand-held camera. Restriction is there for only if you are using tripod, crane and drone.

@@SudeeshKottikkal I had the same issue at Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple in Chikkaballapur, near Nandi Hills. I was not even filming, but merely shooting hand-held images with my camera. The priest had no objection and in fact encouraged me to take photos.
But two ruffians claiming to be ASI employees turned up out of nowhere and started abusing me. They refused to give me their ID's and tried to snatch away my camera. I told them the ASI rules are very clear. Hand-held photography is very much allowed at all ASI sites in India. At some ASI sites, foreigners may have to pay extra for hand-held photography, but Indians need not. Tripods are allowed, provided we obtain written permission from ASI beforehand.
These hooligans at Bhoga Nandeeswara temple would not allow me to take photos, and backed off only when they realised I am a local Kannadiga, and after I threatened to lodge a police complaint if they took away my camera. I left the place anyway, since it was not worth the trouble.
Actually, I was about to visit Nuggehalli tomorrow, by hiring a cab from Bangalore. Thanks for the warning. I'll save my money and time, and go to some other temple.

    Nice temple...
The thing is that in these Hoysala temples there wont be sufficient sunlight inside the temples....all arount closed type....other than that...carvings are marvellous....nobody can beat the hoysala architecture and its fine minute carvings......
