Honestly people, who cares how clean her yard is?! The important thing is she clearly loves her horse and the feeling is mutual. Great video, love your pony. Go you :) xx
At the beginning of the video I was like "That horse looks like it's not been groomed in forever!" Then you started grooming it and I fangirled over the fact that it's a curly haired horse.
To all those people who are hating and saying that there is no grass and it's wet, it's WINTER! I live in California we never have grass because there is a drought going on. And we have dirt everywhere so the horses are not in a bad place. BTW, awesome video
Jesus Christ guys, she isn't mother nature! Do you guys not get the concept of seasons? You know Winter? It rains, snows in Canada (i'm in Australia), muddy etc. You guys need to calm down and enjoy the video. Her horse is in excellent condition besides a bit of mud. So when your horse has mud on it you wouldn't want to be abused? It IS JUST MUD! Shut up and watch the video! Oh my god.
Thank you everyone for your kind words and wonderful feedback. I apologize im not the most "proper" horse person, but I do what I know and I know what I do :) enjoy!
I get it but when I was taught, they said sit up no matter what cuz if u fall off u will get very hurt if ur leaning back cuz this person at the barn I ride at fell off an broke their arm cuz they were leaning back I just don't want anyone to get hurt.😐
Dont lean so back when you are cantering I have a well trained tracher and she rids and she does not lean that far back you might fall off just helping 👌
You know what? Scroll down and read what I have to about this place being dirty, and this horse having all sorts of diseases, or the way I ride, I really do not care anymore, if people want to read the comments and see where be posted MANY times. This place gets damp in the river, and what you don't see in the video are the dry warm stalls and the 12 acre meadow. Marley is also a Baskir Curly cross, her hair is curly, she is hypoallergenic. So. If you talk shit, what should you expect back? Don't complain to me about this video that was just an application for a job. So I'm right. You all need to re evaluate yourselves. And as for cantering after trotting for a few laps, that won't do anything wrong, I rode her before the video even started, you really give horses a bad name when you start worrying about all of this stuff, these horses are healthy and happy, they are quite capable of getting through a rainy day and being ridden for 10 seconds. Christ.
Omg so many stupid comments on this video. There is no grass but are the horses skinny? NO! Yes there is mud but are the horses full of deasieses and are they sick? NO! Her horse is happy and from what I can see fully healthy. Some people are just rude and saying some unneeded nasty comments
Idk how anyone can comment on this video saying that these horses have a poor life (just read down in the comments) they get to go outside, run around and do generally what horses do! Stuff like this makes me angry! At least they aren't cooped up in a stable all day everyday, so take your mean comments and save them for someone who deserves them.
Thank you for this Savannah, I enjoyed watching the neat unhurried way that you tacked up and your good interaction with your horse, and you are a "proper horse person". Happy trails!
Savannah you did a great job. Just ignore the rude comments. Canada has winter and your stables are perfectly normal. So? Who cares if they aren't fancy?! The horses are living in a normal environment, and they are used to cold weather and snow. If they have a problem and think that it is dirty, gross, blah blah blah , whatever! I live in Canada and also love it. I can't stop watching this video! Lol!
Sarah Acton Rinaldo Yeah because those big fancy stables can run from 1 to 2,000 dollars A MONTH!! I wouldn't pay that for a fancy stall there are thousands of horses living in poop covered kill pens and auction houses starving and being hit and chased but they comment that SHE is cruel! I love Curly horses but I do have to say they are INCREDIBLY hard to keep clean and she is doing an amazing job!!
Thank you so much for posting this vid!! I've been looking for ages for a " all in one video" on horse care like this!!! I think you've done a great job and really appreciate your work :-))
I love this video just I have one pet peeve not to be rude or anything but I think you should put the stirrups on the horn to not hit Marley when you put the saddle on but I lived it love*
You so rarely get to see Bashkir Curleys used as riding ponies (most people want 'normal horses'), but Marley is so adorable, I can't see why people would want otherwise! Awesome tutorial too, very informative.
I know this video has alot of hate but I love this vid you did a great job and it helped me alot I don't understand anything you did wrong I have watched it twice there's so much info thanks!(:
Hey, I don't know much about western riding, but I think you did a very good job demonstrating. I ride saddleseat, and you have to worry about the mortengale, and we brush our horses a different way, but your tutorial is a very good basic video for people to learn. Great job!
i really love this video!! finally another horse person💜 you know what your doing!! every equestian does stuff different you should be proud of this video btw it helped me out a lot when I was beginning :)
I love this video because it explains the entire routine from catching a horse to riding it. I actually have a job for a trail riding place and this is what I have to do. 😊
Thank you.this video really helped me. I love horses and I'm going to get one this summer and I didn't really know how to tack up a horse. I love curly horses, I know a girl who has one and he's the sweetest boy you ever did see
This video is so helpful and the horse is so beautiful, I really admire how much you care for her and the other horses you may have :) this helped me a lot as I have a job riding my aunts Clydesdale as she is expecting a baby soon, I needed to know how to do this before hand :) you really helped me and ignore the haters! Thanks ❤️Ainsley.
you know what 3 years ago i watched this video, and i thought... i wanna ride just like that . a few weeks later i got riding lessons and i have ended up renting mh own horse he is blind in one eye a nutt job but i love him so much. anyway my point is dont listen to these people posting hate comments you inspired me to ride so thank you x
Ignore all the rubbish, the video is brilliant and the horse is so pretty my yard is the same and gets muddy in rain and our fields don't have much grass. Love your videos❤️
Another thing you might need in the summer is a sweat scraper ( for getting all the water off when you give them a bath) and some sponges (for cleaning the tack and places where the hose can't reach the ears face etc.)
how did you get Marley's main and tail super full?? I've met you before right you own or used to own a cute Arabian right?. im the girl that always came up and watched you and Julia ride haha
When you taught how to ride step by step I feel more confident when going on trails. I rarely get go on any since I'm a suburban so I go to this horse place that accepts almost anything like riding lessons, horseback riding, trail rides, horse training, and horse boarding. It only like every summer or spring :( Awesome vid ;)
Try not to throw the saddle on the horse Also when u r putting the saddle on, put the stirrup that is furthest away from you on the knob thingy otherwise it could make the horse want to go😂😂 Just suggestions I loved the video all together though!! And your horse is beautiful
Jessie_04 Listen. It's a western saddle, it's heavy so you're supposed to throw it over the horse and gently put it down. You're probably and english style rider, so I don't suppose you'll understand.
Honestly when I brush my horse I use a main and tail brush and curry comb and the hard brush and it's perfectly fine to do instead of all that stuff you don't really need
You don't pick the hooves? You should. Horses get rocks, mud, sticks, and everything else. If they are left in while you ride the horses hoof could get injured from the rock or something poking in his hoof. Always pick your horses feet once a day!!!
savanna rose That's the breed. To be specific, the American Curly horse. If you're thinking of Cushing's Disease, you're wrong. The horse is fine, and if you look closely to the curls you can tell it's not Cushing's and that it's an American Curly horse.
Really good video, not gonna be a brat or start a fight, but just remember to sit forward a bit when in the canter and swing lightly into the saddle when mounting. I noticed him flinching when you got on. But you are obviously an amazing rider, great job! And I don't think your plave looks dirty at all. It's just damp from the rain, and Marley is groomed beautifully! :)
I'm not being mean or anything, but I was just wondering, Does it hurt the horse when you sit on her curly hair? Because I was told that if you make their hair stand up and sit on it, it would make them sore. Just wondering.
Your horse is very rare to be a curly horse. You should be proud to have her. Curly horses are one of the most rarest horses in the world. By the way u did a great video and your stables look great, and so do u. By the way Marley is sooooo ❤️ beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh...have you seen my horse? It's an huge english horse and needed to mount her with stairs lol))))I am going on horse riding lessons from my 4 and i am one of the rare girls in Armenia that had tours to Germany and Russia! It is the best thing ever!!!!
Now i know how to tighten a western saddle, i have to thank you. Because when i was in Horse lessons i could never figure out how to the saddle even though my teacher showed me and helped me i could never do it and i have to say your horse is really pretty
this is a great video, just focus on the good comments your a great rider there is always improvement ahead but even I know that everyone has different ways and the4 haters have to except that:)
thhis helped me so much!! and i love the saddle, dont listen to the ahters, they shoud make sure they are perfect ( which they are probabley not) before they judge other people!
I always thought catching would be kinda hard. Turns out it’s pretty easy for me. My horse is a really good boy. He’ll just follow me right into the barn and he’ll stay still for me to brush him. I don’t even need a halter until we’re going to put a saddle on him (we use a halter with reins clipped on instead of a bridle).
I love the video, it was really cool to see your horse, do you share her? Also I agree with you, I never lunge my horse unless it has been lame or something
For everyone say she has rain Rot she doesn't. Her hair is naturally curly just like her owner said so back off
dhaw
Leah Conroy. You go girl.
Leah Conroy
Prentess Jackson do u have something to say ?
Her horse is so cute and fluffy!
Honestly people, who cares how clean her yard is?! The important thing is she clearly loves her horse and the feeling is mutual. Great video, love your pony. Go you :) xx
BeccaBrownEquestrian it’s not hers
i love her clean yarf
At the beginning of the video I was like "That horse looks like it's not been groomed in forever!" Then you started grooming it and I fangirled over the fact that it's a curly haired horse.
Frost Night a horses hair can't get like that when it hasn't been groomed for a while
Ye
I thought so too
@@nayelio5566 they are actually born like that not because of grooming-genetics
Lucky Dragon05 i know that know. That was back when i didn’t have much knowledge over breeds and such.
To all those people who are hating and saying that there is no grass and it's wet, it's WINTER! I live in California we never have grass because there is a drought going on. And we have dirt everywhere so the horses are not in a bad place. BTW, awesome video
i like dirt too

Thanks this was very valuable
***** thank you! its super frustrating haha
I subbed. I completly love this vid. I am thinking of getting a horse of my own when i am older and this taught me some things! 😄
you are great and do very well with horses and do what needs to be done
The reason people think she is so nasty in the Beggining is because she's a curly horse. Haha she was born like that people lol😂
Dont lean so back when you are cantering I have a well trained tracher and she rids and she does not lean that far back you might fall off just helping 👌
Sorry I did not mean to send that it was for her lol
@@katiesinthehouse no leaning back is fine your goal is to try not to bounce of the saddle she's fine

Hey, are you an English style rider? In Western, you're supposed to lean back more than you would in English.

They aren't rare, just expensive and not very popular to buy
One thing you must always do (mainly riding western) is the pull the front legs forward to get any bunched up skin free to prevent girth rubs.
that horse is so cute, i’ve never seen anyone ride a curly🥺
i love your video !! very pretty horse and good rider :) hope you upload more in the future :)
You're riding absolutely fine! What are people so upset about? Your riding is fine! People these days.
