We tried for 2 hours, watched this numerous time and FINALLY decided to plug in the power cord to my PC as you instructed and it worked. In our defense, we thought you had to plug in because you only had 12% battery...nope, it was the missing step! Now if you can find a solution to fix the tablet from going into sleep mode every 5 seconds!

For anyone else finding this video: yes you need to plug it into a PC with a data cable. Plug it in to a charger won't work. Plug it into a PC with a charging only cable will not work either. You can tell if the tablet has restarted because the PC will notify with a sound prompt and that is your cue to switch to holding down the volume up button.

60 mins waiting for a video chat that was supposed to have a 35 second wait time...to unlock a tablet i just set up with my face that refused to allow me to unlock from my samasung account despite porting all settings from my samsung phone where i could unlock it. just to do a hard reset that their own website doesnt tell me how to do...thank you

Hi, mine s7+ tab is permanently locked from too many passowrd attempts. This process will not work for the life of me. Any tips? No button combos seem to work, I've tried different timing, cords, devices to plug into but nothing. THANK YOU
I succeeded in factory resetting it but I am still requested to enter my PIN to unlock it ; though now with option to use my Google account instead

So uhm I just got this tablet, and while I was attempting to transfer data from my phone to the tablet, the devices told me that it couldn't, because my phone's storage was full, so the best I could do was transfer my accounts, without my apps, videos, games, and images. So now I have to reset my tablet so it's in a position when I first touched it, so I can try again at transferint data. (I already cleared some of my phone's storage)

It is Google locked and my WiFi have to sign in from a website...It won't let me proceed to the next step after I choose which WiFi...

It worked, but when i turn it on it still asks me the old password or the Google account i used before resetting it it's like a looping nightmare

After resetting, Why does it say "Your Tab was reset. Please enter the pin to continue?" Another option "Continue with google instead". I mean It defeats the whole purpose of resetting because I want to reset because I forgot the pin. I don't understand.

Same issue, have you find the solutions guys? I think Samsung is using another way of protection for stolen devices, I think this solution is no longer working.
I tried several time to do exactly what you show. It just kept switching on again. This is a brand new tablet that I found a real pain in the bum to operate, so it is going back for a full refund. Looks like the seller will have to have fun resetting it.
you must connect it to a computer while doing this, or it will just restart. Others had said that in the comment above. I found out after trying for many times, with the cable just in the charger first. That didnt work.. As soon as i plugged the USB into my computer it worked. You still need original email though, and that i cant get by.
Do connect USB with PC.. then It will work.. with connection it will not work..
