Honestly I was surprised she's a YG artist because YG VERY notably makes his artists sing a certain way LOL but Suhyun's voice is very light & soft which is so rare. Her voice fits the song so well - both are very unique.

That’s because she wasn’t trained by YG. Her and her brother won a competition and decided to sign to YG. He liked their style so much that he gave/gives them a lot of freedom to do what they want in their own unique style.
Since YG has a staff of trainers, it's not surprising that folks who have trained for a long time will have more of that training show through. But YG doesn't force. Suhyun still very much has the wow factor YG picked her for. Another example is Bang Yedam from the same KPOPSTAR season who still has his uniqueness even after 9 years of YG training
All of YG's best singers were already good before joining the company (no hate to the long time trainees though), like Seungyoon, Suhyun and Lee Hi. They already had their own style and weren't forced to sing in that YG style.

In a program show, akmu suhyun said that this song lyrics written by his brother described a story of a mother wanting to encourage her daughter to be strong at earth since she is strong from another planet( referring to the womb). "In that planet, you used to champion" meaning that she is born because of the strongest sperm matched with the egg . Thats why when she " get bigger and greater", the planet (aka mother's womb), cannot hold the baby. "Like to swim in warm water" , is referring to baby swimming in the amniotic fluid of the womb. So , if she is strong in that planet, no need to be afraid of Earth as she is special & can be strong like a hero. Her brother wrote this song base on his imagination, so those who read the story description & re-read the lyrics again , will look at the song differently! The biggest artist bring In the most money. But in order to make A LOT OF money, it's good not to just follow the existing trend, but to set a new one, be the first one to do something. To do that, you need to experiment, to step out of the wide path everyone is walking. But labels can't really afford to do that with their big artists: if the experiment fails, the loss of reputation will cost a lot, they will lose significant amounts of money. So the solution is to allow a lot of freedom to their smaller artists and experiment with them. If they fail, it won't be that huge. But if it is a success, they can encourage their big artists to work in that direction and gain money by owning the new trend

It's a bit silly to cry to this cute song but I lost my mom to a 8 year long journey with stage 4 breast cancer at the end of october so this song which is from the mom's perspective saying she'll get weaker and I'll get stronger 0:50 really chokes me up. She gave me some of her strength so that I could grow stronger! Growing up while my mom grew weaker made me feel guilty in a way but knowing she was giving me her strength I think I'll be able to wield this new power for greatness like Suhyun! Suhyun is an AMAZING vocalist, and so underrated! She definitely needs to do more of this kind of thing which was so incredible and unique! I've typically only seen her at informal ensemble group jams at parks, restaurants, bars, etc, but always love to hear her sing anything live! She is so immensely talented & adorable beyond words, she needs someone to properly promote her career!❤

In a program show, akmu suhyun said that this song lyrics written by his brother described a story of a mother wanting to encourage her daughter to be strong at earth since she is strong from another planet( referring to the womb). "In that planet, you used to champion" meaning that she is born because of the strongest sperm matched with the egg . Thats why when she " get bigger and greater", the planet (aka mother's womb), cannot hold the baby. "Like to swim in warm water" , is referring to baby swimming in the amniotic fluid of the womb. So , if she is strong in that planet, no need to be afraid of Earth as she is special & can be strong like a hero.

Cake At Stake Yes that is the label that releases her music. When you release music, you need some kind of label. But these artists try to do as much independent, such as production and the musicvideo concepts.
Cake At Stake So she isn’t a soist idol like Somi or Chungha but she is more of a solo artist as we see a lot all over the world. On apple music (and maybe spotify) there’s a playlist with more neopop.
I don't have any idea how this actually works, just guessing.
Lables own many artists, some bigger, some smaller. The only thing they are concerned about is making money (nothing wrong with that). The biggest artist bring In the most money. But in order to make A LOT OF money, it's good not to just follow the existing trend, but to set a new one, be the first one to do something. To do that, you need to experiment, to step out of the wide path everyone is walking. But labels can't really afford to do that with their big artists: if the experiment fails, the loss of reputation will cost a lot, they will lose significant amounts of money.
So the solution is to allow a lot of freedom to their smaller artists and experiment with them. If they fail, it won't be that huge. But if it is a success, they can encourage their big artists to work in that direction and gain money by owning the new trend

It's a bit silly to cry to this cute song but I lost my mom to a 8 year long journey with stage 4 breast cancer at the end of october so this song which is from the mom's perspective saying she'll get weaker and I'll get stronger 0:50 really chokes me up. She gave me some of her strength so that I could grow stronger! Growing up while my mom grew weaker made me feel guilty in a way but knowing she was giving me her strength I think I'll be able to wield this new power for greatness like Suhyun! I love the message this song has and I have to read the lyrics everytime this plays! It's as if my mom is still here encouraging me for greatness. No one's gonna read this but tell your motherly figure in your life you love them for me!!

Suhyun is an AMAZING vocalist, and so underrated! She definitely needs to do more of this kind of thing which was so incredible and unique! I've typically only seen her at informal ensemble group jams at parks, restaurants, bars, etc, but always love to hear her sing anything live!
