Game 7 of last year Eastern conference finals requires context. Jaylen Brown entered the playoffs with a lacerated hand. A couple times in the playoffs he busted open and it started bleeding mid-game. Late in game 1 of the Eastern conference finals jaylan browns slipped on a wet spot landed on his elbow and wrist on his other arm. Bye game 7 of Eastern conference finals he had no good hands to use.
@@cheap272 if t are a Celtic fan I trust u watched call the games last playoff. Check his stats before he slipped on that wet spot and check his stats after pretty much a decline across the board.
No one wants to talk about this part. But they will continue to say "Tatum rolled his ankle". There's even footage of Brown injuring is left wrist and elbow in game 1 when he got tripped up by BAM driving the middle of the paint. Then there's another clip where Lowery pinned his left arm and twisted it back to re aggravate it in game 6.
He also cut his hand which opened up multiple times through the playoffs. Game 1 of Miami he also took a tough fall on his elbow and wrist which may or may not have effected him
Jaylen looks like a monster right now. Averaging 29 points a game over his last 10 played. That's a top ten scorer. If this carries over to the playoffs it's a wrap.
I'm genuinely surprised when he loses the ball, now. And I think if he got max contract whistles, instead of '5th year energy guy' whistles, he'd be under 2 TO's a game - a really significant % of his turnovers come when he's being hacked and pulled on, and refs have been unwilling to give him or Tatum the nod on most of those this season. He's also improved his facilitating, where he powers into a collapsing defense and instead of forcing a shot up, he just dishes out to someone wide open. He's really putting it together, all while playing even better defense than before.
Look, what Celtics fans often miss is that JB has improved steadily every single year. Remember that when he was first drafted he was pretty much a raw prospect. Guy didn't really have a reliable jumper, great handle or anything else....just raw athleticism and defensive chops. Looking at what JB has since become is really stunning. I can't name a lot of players in the NBA who have improved more over their years in the NBA; only one that really jumps to mind is Giannis. JB just has that crazy work ethic...guy going to get better each year no matter what people think or say.
I was wondering if you can do a AD Breakdown and I am also wondering if more PRIME Breakdowns will happen because I saw you do one on Carmelo Anthony which was a great video btw so I was just wondering. Good JB video btw
Only casuals will make fun of him and his weaknesses. A real fan ( that watches, almost every game) notices how much he has improved this year. He is a much more aggressive and physical player on both side of the floor. And has improved his left hand, handling and finishing dramatically. The question is, will he get it done in the playoffs? I think so. No injuries. Playing in a great team with great team chemistry. That’s always passes the ball . Will he have bad games? Yes but that’s normal. If he wasn’t playing on such a stacked team, he would probably be in the MVP conversation and easily average over 30 points a game. Same with Tatum
Good try. I'm not saying Brown has terrifc left hand ball handling last year. I do like to point out several things you did not consider in this analysis: 1. You showed clips in reg. season vs last playoffs vs. Miami, where they're famous for the slap & poke & grab with multiple guys & Tatum also had lots of TOs. When Miami sets that wall up top with 2 guys in the zone always ready to jump any players, it's not easy even for a guy like CP3 in his prime or Kyrie Irving. 2. Your clips showed his right hand drives this yr vs last yr playoffs when he was forced to go left by Miami D 3. This yr Brown's usage rate & shot attempts also lowered due to KP's arrival. This essentially make Brown less of an initiation point on offense. 4. Brown is NOT a PG so sometimes, I don't get why people keep complain about his ball handling. Why don't people complain about coaching where both Udoka & Mazulla last 2 playoffs did not make the Js come off screens more or do more movement & let Smart, White & Pritchard do more ball handling?
If that first break down isn't travelling I'm not sure what is. People talk all the time about different eras but imagine what Jordan could do with the three steps granted to players today
Yeah, if others showed up they would've beat Denver. Now we have to listen to the idiots chirp until the finals.... Jokic and Murray are gonna dismantle the entire Celtics team. GTFO that just sounds stupid 😂
The fact that he can't make a contested left handed layup off the left hand dribble is disturbing; switching to finish with the right means he's still handicapped.
Not only was JB not 100% in the playoffs last year. He also has just slowed down. I’ve watched tons of JB most of his turnovers are going to fast and kicking the ball
@@TheOnlyDTM that’s still not being the head coach ime has the rockets playing more competitive basketball, I do realize part of what contributes to that is new roster construction but still

Jimmy was playing on one foot. It's the playoffs. No one is 100%
@@wbrodie55 jimmy played like shit in the efc martin and bam carried. But what does that have to do with me adding context to why JB played bad.

he was icing his left wrist all series vs the heat he was very clearly injured and just kept it to himself

@@mr.marino1120 yeah he was definitely injured. Just not the guy that will use it as an excuse
Even before that injury he had a hard time handling the ball. You can see the great improvement this year tho.

Cool breakdown of JB's game. Subscribed.
Just because casuals focus on his turnovers doesn't mean he wasn't doing this before. He got that contract for a reason. He been killing it...
Straight facts! JB made big improvements. He got a way bigger bag now
its crazy to see videos like this and realize youtubers like this are much better analysts then 99% of those shown on TV
JB will be a lethal weapon for the Celts come playoffs!
He is better this year but we hope in the playoff keep this level
Finally Jaylen Brown " 7 "
most underrated player in the NBA...
that contract will look like a steal in 3 years

He’s the only guy I’ve seen in a long time get a big payday and turn into a fckn monster and be worth every penny !!!!
Just needs to fix the Free Throws!!
The man with the biggest contract is able to protect the ball and use his left, I would say worth it
Also a good defender and great scorer overall
the biggest contract for about 8 months 😭
