" Shtum" means keep quiet, keep your mouth shut, say nothing. The "German" is a reference to either a BMW or a Mercedes ( Merc ). "Richards", "Franks", "Morleys".... etc is a reference to the predominant families and crews throughout England. They in themselves have a "pecking" order which is also an unspoken double.... You did pretty well, Cliff ! = )
German whip 😉
🔥
also shtum sonically sounds like the german word stumm which both means to be silent/quiet another reference to the whole german thing.
"Shtum" sound like "shut up" too. Is this where it came from?
@@huynguyeninh5841 I copied this from a Google search "The word shtum was intoduced into Yiddish from the German word stumm meaning silent."
These 2 Gent's are a total inspiration for anyone that's been told you are too old for anything.
Yeah but, some of the younguns need to retire early 🤣
Nits in the line for the shnitzel = Nitties in line for the food = junkies in the line for drugs
Not all nits are junkies though.. yuppies are not addicts, they use drugs recreationally.
Nits to me are just customers
Nitties in the south west are typically younger lads who do all the running about with drugs and get their drugs in return for their service 😂
@@deanosaur808it's still what they are implying don't take lyrics literally
OMG! You are my 9th reaction to this song. You are the first 🥇 one to catch that the WHOLE SONG is a FOOD DISTRIBUTION scheme, a "Pyramid Scheme" a double song, full of doubles. My mind is blown. They just showing off now.
A whole quadruple song. I'm blown away!
Pudlies = Liverpudlian = man from Liverpool
the gentlemen series on netflix is brilliant
They need to use this for the intro season 2
💯
@@johnny72573 i hope there is a season 2
It’s the best show I’ve seen for a long time!
Actually I’ve in Morley. Leeds
As an Essex bloke I absolutely loved your reaction! I really wanted to explain about the Richards", "Franks", "Morleys. But I've had a bit too much Davis. And it would probably take me a couple of hours to finish this comment.😁
Yooooo Cliff, 🙏 thanks for putting me on! Pete & Bas, first listen and wow. Im blowm away 😳. Already jeard this somg over 7 times and its 🔥 i needed something new to listen too. This is it!
Appreciate the "intro" to these OGs. ✊ they are wayy better rappers than alot of modern rappers.
Enjoy the rabbit hole!!
@@chantelvenessa 😐 tooo late for that lol..they have become my new addiction. Ive heard Gentleman everyday since (at least 6 times back to back), but also heard some other tracks. 🙌
Fucking LOVE Pete and Bas
Went north to south using slang for regional areas or resident terms for people living in those places. I.e. Mancs = Mancunians = Manchester.
Puddlies = Liverpudlian = Liverpool
Edit: That was the pyramid scheme, top to bottom.
Wow!
Franks were German people. Moors people from Spain, Portugal and North Africa.
Really hope to see you check out Norman Pain's Sindhu Sesh It ties into Pete & Bas's story.
Netflix new series “The Gentleman”. Someone inherits an old estate in the UK, along with its “business”. This might as well be the theme song. Looks like a good show. Directed by Guy Richie!!!
Brilliant series. Binged it on Saturday. The video recreates the first episode.
Kind of related. If you have some time, check out one of LAD Bible's interviews with Bobby Cummines, a former "businessman" from London. It gives a ton of context to Pete & Bas' stuff, and the sawed-off under the trenchcoat was one of his favorite negotiation tactics. He's also highly entertaining.
anyone watch The Gentlemen TV show. "CLUCK LIKE A FUCKING CHICKEN!!!" LOL
Lol dw about the groups of people he listed, Im 30 and lived here my whole life and dont half of them :') Mancs are people from Manchester, Pudleys I assume are from Liverpool,, I think hes just saying they grow the shit, then that gets passed down through other dealers until it gets to the night clubs. But i think he also went from Northern citys down to the South which makes it a double
I guess that the "German" is the BMW!
It's just short for German whip
Bro, NEVER apologize for being you EVER. We (your subscribers) are here because we know who you are and we like what you do. If I wanted to watch the videos uninterrupted I'd watch them on the original master channel, or listen to the song on Spotify. Fuck the Haters. I will remain a fan of your channel reguardless of what the heroin addicts say. (Although, I would love for you to give the 2 tone genre a try. A great entry point for you might be "The Specials." Amy Winehouse performed with them in '09 in Chelmsford, Also they are super infulential.)
No other Pete&Bas reactor caught the chicken bars🤩 you're the star Cliff!
The Killian Murphy idea is genius!!!
You should check out the Sindhu Sesh, they switch up that flow, they have no business being this cold
Chucked= thrown
Shtum= quiet
German was my first language. Putting German in a rap is a plus. Love these guys
You missed a couple really good ones from Pete and Bas. Gotta check out “Longthorne Shotgun” and “Stepped into the Building”.
Think I did those 😊
their collab with Vibe Chemistry is still awaiting your reaction though☺ @@CliffBeatsOfficial
The Richardson were a gang in London back in the day of the Krays
Pudleys is Liverpool clifff they get called Liverpudlians 🙏
No cliffs in Liverpool 😝
Joke! 🤣
Cliff you done great mate xx ❤🐢 xx awesome reaction xx
Nice to see these cats doing their thing. I’m probably older than both these gentlemen. Look kids you can do it too 🤣🤣🤣. 😱😱👵🏼Gmaw
You need to up your game. Jump on a track with p&b 🤣
The younguns can forget rap. Classical music will be the trend when they hit 70 😂
Bro this dude spit German wtf am I supposed to do with that I’m on nyc subway busting out laughter everyone just staring haha😂😅
There's a new show based on the movie The Gentleman, both are good
Just watched the first 5 episodes last night lol….
I’m all about anything done by Guy Ritchie
Have a look at London Cockney rhyming slang. It's basically what they're spitting. They've been doing it for For years in london😂😂
I swear based on the chicken, this has to also be homage to The Gentleman series on Netflix (end of 1st episode)
Norman Pain also released Sindu sesh a couple wks ago.
Great reaction, thank you 🙏🦉❤️🐊👍
I can’t remember if you’ve done their song Stepped in the Building but highly recommend 👌🏼
Wicked reaction Cliff. As usual, had me laughing. Check out "nine and dex - pecan pie". Names might ring a bell. G kids of another reckless twosome
its from the new guy ritchie tv show the gentlemen, the chicken suit is sorta crucial to that story
The sound track for that series is fire !
Bas is my favorite of this duo. I was thinking for a half a second, that I wouldn't mind hearing him do a solo. I don't think it would really work the way I envision it, due to how awesome his flow complments Pete's and vice-versa. This song is definitely about snitches and moving weight. With a little bit of laundering.
Favourites are not allowed! you can't have one without the other 😅
It's like beans without toast 😝
Subbed for the P&B break downs.
Richard’s, Morley’s crime families scoucers man’s different places in england
I found these guys not too long ago, as a brit i never considered a uk rapper twisting words to rhyme like eminem, but the accent opens up new options that would never rhyme in a US accent
Facts!!! I'm American and know P&B is better than 95% of our rappers. Maybe even higher.
Listen to Ocean Wisdom and Lunar C, two best UK rappers imo
I do enjoy the American reaction videos. Cuz they are clueless what is being said. They try but you gotta be English to be catching what they are rapping about.....stum means keep your mouth shut...... jump back in the german
means a German car. The names they reference are/where british gansters and finally the chicken is a scene from the gentleman Netflix show
Richards etc were names of gangster crews from the past. Richards is short for the Richardson's, mancs were crew from manchester, etc. Basically slang names for various crews.
As you said you're gonna start making videos with your girlfriend and mentioned she's latina, and you like bars, checking meanings and that kind of stuff, I totally recommend you to check the video of Rene (Puerto Rican rapper) on his song called "This is not America". The lyrics are in Spanish, so my advice is to get in advance the translation, as they are all important and not only the lyrics but also each and every one of the images have a meaning representing something or referring to something or a specific fact. Then, as your girlfriend is latina, she may be able to help you braking down the bars and images.
Trust me, you'll love it, you'll be amazed and you'll be grateful to learn a lot of stuff, considering what you mentioned about the lack of information you get in USA about the rest of the world and, in this particular case, about the rest of the American continent.
Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
Just finished watching the last episode of the Netflix series and now I see this 😂.
This should be the theme song for The Gentlemen movie or the Gentlemen show
Love when you do Pete and Bas reactions. London boys like myself 👊🏻 benzino would love these guys…. 😂😂
Liverpool (puddlys) so they talk about the people in each area who run the streets that they supply, francs French money, or French gangs that they supply
The pyramid bars you were trying to figure out, they are explaining their distribution network. And how their product is shipped around the UK. The terms they used are slang names for people who live in different areas in the UK
The “back to the German” bar I believe is a mention to a previous bar in regards to visiting the German to get rid of a body.
I don't think they mean a German person. It's just short for German whip
I loved this!!
This video is a play of a Netflix series called " the gentlemen".
got nits on the line (nittys, punnys ,customers, junkys) for that snitchzel (cocaine) had to jump back in the german again (bmw)
man the chicken is from the gentleman series ... you should watch it!
That would be cool 😎 Love Peaky blinders. Sad 😔 no more episodes. I’m glad you are breaking it down for me
This song has been inspired by 'The Gentlemen' on Netflix, if you liked Peaky Blinders, I''m sure you'll like this show too, similar vibes
Names from "VERIOUS ALLIANCES"..RICHARDS,FRANKS..ETC..
You should do a series like once or a week or something where you react to the UK👊💪🔥
ahh you were googling while i was typing lol
check out BADDEST featuring pete and bas
I’m from uk 🇬🇧 big up the uk
Cliff you gonna have to break out a Organizational Flow Chart and label the names of the tiers and find the definitions 🤣🤣🤣
P.S. The Richardson's were the main rivals of the Krays.
Blindfold her an ask her to tell you the ages of Pete and bass
They just released another song today, as well
(pudlys (liverpudlian) liverpool) .( mancs - Manchester)( moors - yorkshire ) basicaly covering the the arias of the u.k , north to south
Please take a look at Nine and Dex Pecan Pie. Regardless of the whole Pete and Bas ghostwriting conspiracy, it’s just an absurdly fire track
I sent this to him on Instagram soon as I saw it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
The breakdown was fkin on point cliff!!! The research and understanding is what keeps me around dude! Glad you got that Instagram message I sent lmao. 🤙🏼🔥🫡
The hole track was in relation to the Netflix series the gentleman its a banger
It's referencing how the drugs get shipped around the main gangs in the cities
"Plod in the pockets", plod = cops
I think that the German is a Mercedes Benz which he jumps in Bro 👍🏆
❤🎉 you 🎉❤
Who thinks the guy in the chicken suit is just going to get humiliated, and who thinks he is going to get ended...
It's Barry, he'll get off lightly 😂
It's obvious that he stole Pete and Bas' stash of blue pills 🤣
Because of his age... The I had to Jump back into German again... could be a wartime bar
Whip 😉
Just have Ren do a little 'cosplay' for the Peaky Blinders idea🤣
Could toss in a bar or two also!
That’s a great idea too but with all due respect, there is only one Thomas Shelby. Have Cillian spit a bar or two.
Cliff!! I wanna see your reaction to D12 Lies & Rumors + My Ballz
questlove black thought picnic intro 2020 reaction
Do not walk, run. I swear on my dead dog you will not 😂sorry
There are different types of slang depending on where you are this is mainly london/ cockney slang
The Franks were a Germanic-speaking people who invaded the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century
That's a bit of a stretch 😅
teehee i love these guys
Ratchet and clank is a video game from awhile ago
Does no one realize that they recreated an episode from The Gentleman on Netflix?
Hello brother Cliff, I hope you are alright!
I dont usually write comments, but I saw Joyner Lucas uploaded "Best For Me" ft. Jelly Roll - Official Music Video (Not Now I'm Busy)
Its more like a massage than a song, its about addiction... I know you will see it and react to it sooner or later but from all the reactors, im waiting for your emotional reaction..
Wish You and all the people in the comments all the best!
For me UK Rap but real rap not drill rapped by this kids , this GHOSTWRITER who write songs for them is Amazing
Lol❤🇬🇧🔥🔥🔥
mancs are people from manchester
There is a new track of joyner n jelly roll
schtum means keep quiet
The watcher-dr Dre would be a good reaction (the comments say em wrote it)
Watch the show the gentlemen
Dude you should react to the show as well it's called The Gentlemen
I’d love to see you react to square dance by Eminem of the Eminem show. It’s one of my personal favorites.
Richer.... Swiss francs.... is form of currency
Ok so i'm in the UK (England where these places are), i don't know all the nicknames of the places they said but i'll do the ones i can:
*Pudleys - Liverpool (someone from Liverpool is a Liverpudlian, hence Pudleys)
*Manc - Manchester (Mancs - same reason as above)
*Moors - i'm not 100% but 99% sure this is Yorkshire as there's the Yorkshire moors - swampy field? google Moorland for a better explanation - (Moors Murders is the name given to a couple who murdered and buried their victims in the Yorkshire Moors so this is the only thing that makes sense to me).
Richards - no idea
Franks - only time i've heard that phrase is for a surname or in reference to French people?
Yuppies - we're as clueless as each other
🤷♀😂
don't explain yourself or apologise for not knowing our slang, we don't know all of yours and the people who aren't complete dickheads on the internet understand that. You also can't help that google doesn't know it either
🤷😂
nice descriptions there. I think Yuppies refers to middle class people with well paying jobs; Richards and Franks no clue 😂
@ChickenWings103 ha I'm glad I'm not alone on those two 😂 I think you might be right but I think I may have heard it referenced to 'posher' working people maybe? I've heard the term I just don't know where and it's been bugging me since I commented 😂
A yuppie is a young urban professional.
@tryaluck thank you! Yes! That's what I meant by 'posher' working class 😂 glad someone could word it properly for me 😂
@ChickenWings103 sorry just realised when I replied to tryaluck that that is literally what you described 🤦🏼♀️. Sorry, I'm ill and my brain has gone to 💩😂
manx are from manchester
Mancs!
Manx is isle of man 😅
@@deanosaur808 yeah spelt it wrong 😂
Check out some Dave or Skepta from UK
richards is short for Richardsons, proberly the most frightening crime gang in London, forget the Krays
Well now that I know you're about that I'll spam you everytime Pete & Bas drop some new
More than welcome 😂
They dropped another banger "Get Low" check it out.
Check out get low it's there new one
