- I'm at one of the best camping spots I know of on my first trip with the 2022 KLR 650 Adventure. I've been waiting for a chance to camp here for years, and it's finally my time. I ride the KLR 650 2.5 hours to this spot and I couldn't be happier to have the place to myself.

This is cool. Im test riding and probably buying a klr tomorrow. My camping setup is only a 30lb pack that I go hike up in the mountains with, I dont like to bring much.
They're fun bikes, just a bit heavy. I enjoy mine a lot
I bought a 24 Adventure last Aug. Absolutely love it. My main purpose was to explorer the back country of MT and to create video footage of my trips. I found I pack more gear than I did with my back packing. Alot of it is related to bike gear, like air pumps, tire spoons. Depending on the location my gear kit is between 28lbs and 50lbs.
Once you get over the underwhelming power it is a great bike. Most locations I go to, here in Montana, I travel 50 to 300 miles in one direction to get to the trail head.
Found your channel and subscribed love your videos, me and friend both purchased 2023 KLR’S he got the adventure trim I got the gray color with abs and we both absolutely love the bikes.

I was going to get the adventure trim till I realized it was cheaper to just get bags yourself

I like the klr but it's not perfect. I'd love to do more talking like other channels but I find that when I'm out in the wild I just don't feel like talking much! But every video is a little different. Thanks for the feedback.

just discovered your channel. I am a motorcyclist and someone who loves Maine. I live in Connecticut but travel to Maine often. I went to college back in the early 90's in Unity ME.

It's alone in the wilderness, but with a klr.
You should carve out a spoon from that stick.

Look at the Kodiak 2 person tent..it's relatively big but u can sit inside of the tent and would be great in inclimate weather, very durable warm canvas
PPS: there’s an ADV rally in Sturgis 1 1/2 weeks before the main rally. We’re gonna ride the DAKAL (Dakota Adventure Loop). Come along if you have time.
That sounds like a good time. If only I lived closer! I don't know of any rallys close to me.

How you digging the new KLR? I saw one on Craigslist in Maine identical to yours yesterday and I was hoping it wasn't yours. I'd be tempted to get one of those new Stihl electric chainsaws if I were in your place. Apparently they are super light. You'll miss out on the exercise than though. Hi Tyler. I'm liking the klr and do plan on keeping it for the long haul. I've definitely having fun with it. I'll do a review of it once I've got some miles on it. I've actually tried a small electric chainsaw but have found it easier to just bring a nice hand saw. Thanks for the comment!
