- Collingwood has pulled of another stunning comeback to down Essendon in front of a record Anzac Day crowd of 95,179 at the MCG on Tuesday.
Trailing by six goals at three-quarter time the Pies lifted a level in an already high-quality game, reeling in the Bombers on the way to the 13.12 (90) to 11.11 (77) win.

Absolute spectacle of a game. The awesome pre game last post and car loops for the anzac legends. The amazing jets flying overhead. The highest anzac day crowd, second biggest h&a crowd of all time. And maybe one of the best actual matches. And finally Darcy's heart felt speech. It was legendary
Collingwood’s believe is like nothing else, as they’ve shown us it doesn’t matter if your up 1 point or 30 points at 3qt they can still comeback.
Good job to the pies even as an essendon supporter that was good and Darcy Moore all class from him nothing but respect and same to Daicos

The umpires clearly had an agenda to ruin Collingwood. Maynard was in a charitable mood. Pies were missing 20-25% of their best team. Essendon up by 28 points at 3/4 time.

What a quality game to pay the respects of the Anzac’s. So grateful to have Collingwood be a big part of it!
One of the best AFL games I've seen, apart from the umpiring. They wanted Essendon to win so bad. Even legitimate penalties right in front of them, but they refused to blow the whistle. Pies shouldn't have been penalized as hard and deserved more.

If you thought Melbourne's come-from-behind victory against Richmond was impressive, I think that Collingwood's comeback from 28 points down at the end of the third quarter against Essendon tops that. Collingwood would be a scary team to go up against.

Inject that final quarter into my veins. That was one of the best games I've seen. Collingwood's attack and defensive pressure in the 4th was off charts. They came out a fresh, super-charged team, and everything just fell in to place. It's extraordinary. It's not a one man show. Every Pies player stands up and is all in. I'd list every moment & player if I could. Shoutout to PendleGOAT, who missed some of the 4th but was clutch 1st half. Credit to Bombers, who dominated Pies for 3 quarters but couldn't absorb the black & white tsunami. They blocked corridor, took away Pies game, and forced the Pies to work even harder. It was an epic contest. Record ANZAC match and 2nd best H&A crowd ever if you don't mind, and deservedly so.

Even though Essendon lost, there was a lot to like. They're building. They had Collingwood for 3 quarters, but couldn't absorb that final pressure. Brad Scott has got an elite system in place. Their positioning and ball movement was excellent for most of the game, and they took the Pies game plan away from them and made them work harder. Bombers will be in the finals mix.
They looked great in the first & third, but the abysmal fourth quarter has overshadowed what i think was a pretty poor second.

@I'm Always Right they had to replace a lot of the turf because of the ed sheeran concerts, I think that has a lot to do with all of the slipping

I think not. The frees the dons got were definately there. But the umps 100% missed some frees. Missed more for pies than they did dons. Dont think it was to bad overall. Just another average game. But who cares at the end of the day. Pies 4th was immaculate
@@benbraden3244 For the most part it wasn't the frees that dons (although there were some dodgy ones) but the ones that Pies didn't get like multiple head high contacts, clear holding the balls (and I don't mean when fans call ball 0.0001 seconds after player gets the ball) there were plenty where a Dons player had prior and didn't dispose, or threw the ball. Dons player pushing in the back, but exact same thing happens from a Dons player to a pies player, no free.......Dons got all the 50/50s and Pies got none at all.

Essendon is just like What Just Happened? Everything was amazing but I do think Mihochek was blocking his opponent from the contest in that Ginnivan mark and goal, should have been a free to Essendon
