The City has budgeted for this and more:
🏘️ R3.2bn in informal settlement upgrades
🚧 R2.6bn in road maintenance
🚰 223% increase in Water and Sanitation overall budget

For instance the war in Eastern Europe, just because someone says they think Zelensky is a war criminal doesn’t mean they’re pro Putin. The ANC has achieved nothing as the DA stood by and in some cases facilitated where it suited their agenda. Don’t settle for second best, if your party can’t answer the question we’re all really asking of them them you should find a party that does.
If you’d like I’d sincerely show you where the DA has failed just as much if not more at their mandate, try getting ahold of one of these guys to ask them why there’s E.coli in our drinking water or why they’re pushing so hard to please the WEFs ESG agenda at our expense. If the DA was in control we’d be where the Netherlands are right now with their civil unrest against their tyrannical government. I'm a black SAcan. Born raised in soweto... if there's one thing we can all settle as black people concerning the past 29yrs is that the ANC government has failed. Its that simple. The DA does have some elements of racism here and there, but I rather vote them in 2024. I'm willing to fight a few DA racists here n there than settle for a corrupt unuseful ANC government. As a grown up with kids, its my responsibility to be rational and vote DA without involving emotions. Compared to USA, Europe and East, African gorverning polical parties such as ANC, Zanu PF, etc steal 80% of the budget n leave 20% for sub standard development, the is true for Western, European gorvernments. Point in case is "corruption is everywhere, there is just a level to it. Africans polical corruption is insidious. Apartheid is dead... racism and apartheid are fundamentally two different things. Apartheid is institutionalized racism as a government policy. My ppl, lets vote ANC out. We can contain racism in a democratic state. One thing for sure under a new DA government there will be development for SAcans, black n white. Our kids will have future. @@AKB52 the Local Municipality is Run by the Local Administration. Do you not know how this works? If the DA runs the city, the DA runs the Municipal, They get control of allocating funding specifically for such projects. Rooiwal Sewage Facility is the largest of 8 dysfunctional sewage facilities in Pretoria it has been run by the DA since 2016, cholera just broke out there...yeah, the DA “fixes things”

Nigeria with all it’s problems only has an unemployment rate of 9.79% while South Africa’s at a staggering 32.9%.
Thats because we define unemployment differently
Decreasing the overall poverty line and enabling the poor to make something of their lives will have a massive impact on our countries future. Yes 74% is a lot, but the reality is that the majority of the poor simply cant help themselves. Providing them with these simple benefits could literally provide them with the opportunity to change their lives and become contributing citizens of society .
It doesn’t start by providing them with a fish taken from someone else. That’s a Socialist agenda. The ideal would be to have smaller governments, get them out of your pockets, out of your business and out of your education. You know exactly where I’m leading this to, the Da isn’t pushing the type of policies that would make you less dependent on government. Like how they’re suddenly looking to drag us into 15 year ongoing war instead of at least calling for peace talks.
The reality is that the people need to stop reproducing. At it's core, the biggest problem with SA is a high birth rate vs low literacy rate.

SA was ranked the second lowest on the entire African continent for economic growth in 2023. The Apies river that runs through Pretoria is one of over 400 rivers in South Africa declared a Disaster Areas, some for well over a decade inside of DA strongholds. Do you know the number of dysfunctional sewage facilities under DA control? Verify for me please but as I have it there’s the eight in my city, a couple of dozen in the Western Cape province... also, What’s the DAs stance on WEF and ESG scores, nobody can get an answer out of them.
