I have a chicken wing shot, but I've tried angeling my feet to the left, I've tried different hand placement, and I still have a chicken wing. I've even combined the hand placement and the feet placement together, but it doesn't help. It feels like when I don't use a chicken wing, my shot isn't strong enough, and I airball, but it's straight. When I use the chicken wing, it's strong enough, but it goes to the right. Is there any way that I can fix this?

Thank you so much for changing my basketball career. Everyone was making fun of me for how bad I was. I found out my guide hand wasn't leaving the ball. Now I'm hitting every shot. Thanks!

Hey coach, I was wondering if you could do a video on how to shut off larger and faster players?
I'm known for my lockdown, but I still have a problem defending players with longer arms and legs and a larger frame in general.

You need the foundational coordination, strength, quickness, hand-eye coordination, body geometry, and cardio, and then you have to practice. Even if you don’t have this, you can still get better, but the best have those foundations.

Have you considered breaking down Caitlin Clarks jumper? Her stroke seems to be similar to Trae Young's or Damian Lillard's ; but smoother.

Your first two arguments are based on solid biomechanics. For example you can't align your line of sight, your upper arm, your elbow, your forearm, and your wrist all as close to directly towards the basket as possible with anything but a slanted stance. But your anti-palm gap thing is speculation. Like off-hand thumb propulsion, you would have to survey a lot of great and poor shooters to see if no gap/ball on the fingers is more prevalent in one group than the other, to know if it really matters. Because there is no solid biomechanics or neuroscience that really suggests a palm gap/ball just on the fingers is better than no palm gap/ball on both palm and fingers.
So saying that a coach who advocates a palm gap doesn't know what he's talking about could also be said of coaches who say no palm gap is OK, or even good, like you.
Anecdotally there does seem to be a lot of bad shooters in the NBA who seem to palm the ball. You see it most clearly on the foul line. But like I say, you would need a proper survey to see if a significant number of great shooters also palm the ball too.
And that's coming from someone who thinks that no palm gap is probably bad for shooting. And I had a natural palm gap from a very early age, so the small hands argument is not true. And it always felt way more controlled than palming the ball.
Bigger hands, and differences in finger flexibility, can make it look like some players have little or no gap, when in fact the ball is only resting on their fingers, not their palm.
Which really all goes to show that a lot of supposed "good" shooting biomechanics coaching is based on hunches rather than solid science.
