Love those switchback roads. Those waterfalls were beautiful. Owen standing on that rock gave me anxiety especially when he showed what he was looking at. You know it's not the best food when even the dog won't eat it😂😂. Thanks for sharing.
😂 Yes, Maggie passes on very few foods... we've seen her eat rabbit poop before so she must have thought mussels were worse than that. 😂. Thanks for being with us so much. Means a lot to us.
We had to end our trip last week because of 35mph sustained winds with gust. We have a small camper and it was 🤪. Glad you had some beautiful hikes and memories. Give Maggie a squeeze for me.
Gorgeous scenery! I love the water views! I've never thought about traveling to Canada because there is so much in the US that I haven't seen, but you are inspiring me to visit Canada! I will definitely do that drive one day! It was beautiful! Poor Maggie & Owen were funny in the wind! Time to hunker down!
Another awesome video!!!! I agree with Maggie on the muscles.😘 The Cabot Trail Drive was amazing (and white knuckling places for me). Gorgeous pictures and views. That place tucked out of the wind was a great place to stay. I love getting to travel with y'all. That eagle was incredible to see! Thanks so much for letting us tag along. Your friend in SC, Jane❤🙏🐾 I'm so glad y'all are home and safe! Can't wait to hear where you're headed to next! Stay safe. ❤ (Lynn, I hope you head is feeling better!❤)
Now that one almost blew me away!… Wait…. No… It almost blew you three away!!! Wow, what an adventure. Thanks for sharing the journey. So, I must have missed the video where ya pulled your microwave out….
So glad you survived the storm. I like that one hike that there was a waterfall there. Wow Middle Head Trail is 3 miles wow! That’s a lot of hiking. But it’s fun especially when you get to the top and see a great view. Glad you were able to get a free fill up on water.
At camp while boondocking we are very careful to be bear and moose aware. Keeping food and smells outside to a minimum. We hike mostly trails that lots of others hike too. On this trip we saw a bear from the van while driving and near the end we saw a moose... but never while hiking. Oh, and we carry bear spray if there are signs of bears around.
Maggie gave those mussels a "0" - she definitely knows what she likes. The views on the Cabot Trail were absolutely stunning. So glad you were able to hunker down when the storm came in. You must have "really" needed gas because those winds were pushing hard. Hope all is well with you. Take care & hugs for sweet Maggie.
Another great video. We loved the entire trip. So glad we got to meet up with yall too. I think we've decided to put off a return to Alaska and do something new again. We enjoyed all the new experiences this year in the maritimes.
Meeting you guys was something special for us too. We are in the same boat as you. Once you get a taste for new locations it makes it hard to revisit things... well, untill you've seen it all. 😂
We were up there a long time ago. It was so beautiful! We didn't have any problems with the weather. I think it was spring, but now I'm not sure. Went to PEI, too. Loved the seafood.
I know. But historically they get a lot of major storms, both tropical and winter storms. Guess sticking out in the ocean like that and being that far north is not ideal for weather.
The wind was strong from that storm. Poor Maggie couldn’t walk with the wind blowing hard. My dig gets that when it gets windy here too! Glad Owen got into the Ekko. That was nice capturing that eagle. I know was worried you both and Maggie with that storm. But I’m so glad you made it home to the states safely. Love you all! Have a great week and see you soon! Can’t wait to see your next adventure.
You were right the scenery is great with the water the waves and the cute little bird in the water. That was cute Maggie eating the fish and mussels. That was cute and nice she like the mussels and fish.
Another great video. Beautiful area. Excellent hike, careful. Yes, glad y'all are home. Crazy weather. Our Canadian neighbors seem quite friendly. I watch several on YT, and sold our home in FL to a Canadian couple; nice folks. Looking forward to seeing where y'all head next. Hugs for Maggie. 🙂👍
I think that might be some of the prettiest hikes you have on camera. That was really beautiful. Owen standing on that rock freaked me out a little but what a view. Glad your home and safe. Looking forward to your upcoming adventures. P.S. I was so busy the last few days this was my first chance to sit and watch your video. It was worth the wait.
I knew you were already home safely but it was still amazing watching you all tackle that storm. I’ve been in wind so strong I couldn’t walk, couldn’t open or sometimes close my car door, even talk because the wind emptied out my lungs. We are so much weaker than nature, for sure.
Mother Nature is a beast when she wants to be. Those guys there put up with so much extreme weather and they're tough. Some were actually going out on the beach that day even though we could hardly walk. Thanks for being with us and for the supportive words.
Hi guys. This beautiful video brought back some wonderful memories of my wife and I and the girls on a trip one year down home. The views are incredible, exactly how I remember. The next time I do the Cabot trail I think I'll be alone or maybe my Husky will be with me. I have to take some of my wife's ashes down east to spread at her dad's and brothers graves as well as at some of her favourite spots. Thanks for letting me spend some time with your little family. Stay blessed guys. Cheers.❤❤❤
We think about you often. How are you these days? We met a dad way up in Alaska that was taking the ashes of his son to all his favorite spots. It was touching to hear his story. But we know how hard that has to be for you.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle hey guys. I'm I'll because of my girls. They get me through the rough patches. Times like Thanksgiving and Christmas are the hardest. I will get down east to spread her ashes one day soon. Till then she is with me on her night stand, and yes I talk to her all the time. I love you two and a big hug to Maggie. ❤️🙏❤️
This was interesting to see because we were there at the same time but stuck on a ferry in Newfoundland, waiting for the storm to pass. (Glad we had a pet friendly cabin!) By the time we returned, the storm had passed. We also took Middle Head Trail. And my husband also stood on that rock!
Thanks for sharing. Did you take out the microwave and what did you put there? Also, have you done the WGO Recall 174 yet and did a dealer do it or WGO Forest City? Thanks
We did take the microwave out... we've used it less than 5 times in the last year so we opted for storage instead. Haven't done the 174 yet but our Balmar melted down in NL so we're without charging ability while driving now. Sucks for sure. We are getting it repaired at Freedom Van Go in FL in late November on our way to FL. I just have a hard time justifying driving 2500 miles to get a recall done by Winnebago. This entire year full of issues, recalls and bugs with the EKKO has been a challenge for us.
What absolutely beautiful scenery! The shot of Lynn and Maggie walking down the boardwalk towards the sunset would be a perfect framed picture. What was the song you used at 5:02?
That sunset was just breathtaking and shining through the sign... had to get that. Here's link to the song: www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwjS97jcw-aBAxWfg2oFHWWZAjMQwqsBegQIDhAG&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DqcE3NETyu_A&usg=AOvVaw20ZSRGqjabpm2p4A01GZhG&opi=89978449
Very happy your home safely. You said at the start of this adventure you said”If you never go you’ll never know “ from the wonderful and breathtaking videos and especially the smiles and comments I am sure you’re glad you did. Well done!
We had to pass on the Cabot trail when we were up there because of Hurricane Dorian. Many of the campgrounds that we had arranged earlier were closed because of damage, so we had to go to our plan B and C strategies. Still had a great time, but sorry that we had missed that part of our trip.
You guys really took us on a ride today...not everyone takes their friend into a storm, but loved every minute of it. Glad you survived and made it home safely, until next trip...happy tails!!!!
While we have community mail boxes in locations, mail still gets delivered to homes in Nova Scotia in some rural areas and postal workers still deliver mail on foot here as well. It really depends on where you live.
As we struggle with when to start doing long term travel like you guys, you said in the video, don’t let life pass you by, and another message hitting me over the head, along with that scenery that brought so much emotion to me. When did you know you had enough money saved for your travels and your future so that you could head out? So hard to know when to take the leap. JK is 68, I’m 58. Would love to know your thoughts about how and when you decided to take the leap. We have decided to keep our home like you guys for sure. Need a home base. Thanks for the inspiration! Kim
Sitting on my couch, in front of a fire, in our cozy home as I type this. So like you we kept our home and choose to travel 6-8 months per year. But to be honest the older we get the more we're loving our home and that 6-8 months may become 4-6 months one of these days. We suggest to those who ask that you take a month-long trip and see how you like that. Then maybe a 2-3 month-long trip. If you're not missing home then being on the road for longer trips is in your blood. If you're missing home then work travel into your routine. That's what we did. A few 1 to 2 month trips that kept getting longer and longer as time went by.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle Thank you! That confirms what our plan is so far. We leave at the end of the month for a month long trip to CA in our small camper van with two big dogs. We have gone for 3 weeks without the dogs and been fine, and 3 weeks with the dogs in our old Thor Vegas, and 2 weeks with dogs in our van, but I think a month will tell us how we all feel about going longer and longer. Thanks for the guidance. Now to sit by our fire and watch our Sunday morning travel videos!
Most of the Canadians we know and love are generous with the their time and money. But that US to CA exchange would impact anyone's decision just a little.
Glad you are home safe. We enjoyed the Cabot trail and I never get tired of Eagle sightings. Thank you for taking us along. Happy tails and safe travels and I agree with Maggie on the mussels.
That's one lucky dog! Living her best life. Love it.
The Cabot Trail drive/views were beyond beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing! Thankful that you made it home safely!
The Cabot Trail certainly is a treasure! We so enjoyed it.
Glad you made it back... what a great trip! Can't wait for the next one... Be seeing you!
Lovely twirl, Lynn! Beautiful music to match beautiful scenery.
Another great video guys - thank you!
I love the "lookoff" signs for pullouts there. I would call it a lookout but a local told me that lookout is a warning phrase so they say lookoff.
Great vid guys glad the storm was ok for you three

That was a windy bathroom break for Maggie. I have to agree with her on the mussels. 😖 Beautiful water views and hikes. Another great video!
Yes it was! She passes on very few food offerings but that was a hard no!
Glad you guys made it through the storm. I made it through the tropical depression last week at Huntington Beach State Park SC in a tent!
Glad you're safe. We tried to go back to HBSP last week while visiting my mom but it was booked solid.
