I think unless they have the means to retire, a sugar momma, want to live in mom's basement their whole life or on the streets, they either better turn up for a job or learn how to service other dudes for cash....
If you're a single guy, and you can get by without work, then why would you work if you have no family to support? If you do, you're only making your boss's dreams come true at this point.
Feminism. HR departments didn't exist before. Now every man is told by a group of women how he's allowed to behave at work. He's either checking out or going postal. And oh look...
I do not understand why society can not be designed around maximizing hobbies. You need infrastructure to maximize hobbies. Men would cheerfully create infrastructure and maintain it, if it meant that they could enjoy life.
The powers that be have various ways of culling the domestic workforce. AI, outsourcing and importing cheap labor degrade the leverage of the average worker. Applicant tracking systems filter out almost seventy five percent of applicants. I fail to understand how employers keep being rewarded for basically destroying the social fabric of this country. Capitalism once was a bargain between labor and the capitalists that ran the country, now, we just have large corporations employing fewer native born workers each year and societal problems growing at the same time because of it. The problem is that the corporations bought out government long ago and that’s not going to change anytime soon. Don’t expect anything to change until you can break that relationship. Love your video, you always understand the issues thoroughly.
@@shanesprecher8290 appreciate the kind words. I share the same belief that it’s not going to change as multinational companies are influencing politics and governments and countries as a whole. Unless we reign in power to be at a more local level, where societies can be protected instead of milked for everything they still have left. Unless we do that, we’ll continue in this race to the bottom. I’d like to think that for companies, these recent gains will be short lived but I tend to think governments will continue to back them up with subsidies once buying power dries up
I became a day trader and thank God I am good at it (have been thinking about it for 7 years so studying trends on the side for years). I left my last job because all of the outsourcing to India and budget cuts etc. was driving me nuts. Employers want employees to live a place of abundance and upsell and dream up the next best thing while they are in a place of lack/darkness. I only could find one place hiring. Did multiple round interviews. Their salary offer was so low, surprisingly for how fancy they looked, that I am not sure I could afford to live on it (pathetic these are the offers I'm dealing with as a 44yo dude with technical skills). Now I realize no one else is hiring, so this day trading NEEDS to work for me!
The problem is day trading rarely works, anymore than going to the casino every day turns a living. I knew a day trader years ago whose losses got so bad he turned to robbing banks and retail stores. I think he had done eight or nine before they busted him, and his total take was pathetic. I don't think he ever made more than $300 per robbery. He'd have made more working part time at a fast food drive through. Did seven years of federal time for all that. I mean if you're really good at the trading game and have the means to withstand some serious downs, it could work.
@@kenofken9458 eh I am so sick of seeing this. This is a narrative built online and I have no clue who pushes it but it's not true. It's also rude; I don't go around telling artists and teachers or coders they will fail. But there are tens of thousands of other stocks or option combos/prices that are real investing and not like investing at all. People need to realize that Wall St isn't gonna publish all of the secrets and tell people exactly what to trade.
what i'm curious about is why does society think this is new🤔, society doesn't lie to us and tell us we right all the time like they do to women, and because of that it always been more men choosing to figure out other ways of doing things other than following society's plan of sacrificing all our happiness, health, & time just to keep coming up short, instead more of us have always been trying to figure out how to grow a tiny bit of food, build tiny homes, or whatever he feels is going help him sustain long term while choosing to live on less.👍
You’re right I’ve always looked for ways to improve my situation and be ready for the future even when I was comfortable. And now it’s obvious to many that being an employee, competing with a global market in a local environment is a losing proposition. So we’re adapting while the world watches and waits
The good thing about this current generation is that, they have many legal non-traditional ways to make money. But, I am more concerned with single able bodied males ages 20 to 40, who are earning less than 20-hours of pay and are still living with their parents. As an African American male now in my 60's, if I wanted to live at home with my parents after either high school or college, they would be charging me about 1/3rd of my take-home pay for rent. Also, one minor correction in this video is that, in the United States. it is illegal for any employer to use any type of quota system. However, affirmative action is permitted which, is totally different from a quota system (smile ... smile).
@@transitengineer it’s been a “trend” in the last years for younger people to stay with their parents until their 30s which is something that I can’t understand why you’d ever want that. I left at 19 and couldn’t wait although I was earning very little and had to house share etc. but nowadays it’s like it’s encouraged by society. On your second point, I only know American policies from media and independent sources but I see how infantilising young African Americans is becoming a norm and it’s sad as it’s against empowering them. Empowerment comes from earning your credentials and being the best version of yourself
1 way to fix the issue is to create more living wage + mentor/traineeship/helper jobs like manufacturing, factory or trade for both men and women without experience and prioritize citizens/PR over illegals/criminals. Young, old and in debt are definitely feeling the pain in this economy. Or make starting a business much easier and affordable.
