This is the absolute best hommage I have ever heard. I didn’t think it was possible to top your previous video of It’s a long way… But you just did it ! Michael Vincent voice in this song is way more in tune with Bon’s voice it’s uncanny! Favorite moment is 3:30. It’s Bon Scott !!! Unbelievable and full on perfect. I feel like I am back with the days of Aussie rock and roll and I feel young and yet I turn 62yrs old soon. Fil you and the guys are incredibly dedicated and know how to blow the roof off. I am going to get more Aussies watching you guys because the essence of this band has never left us. I still am amazed that in Italy all you had was AC/DC and man you are like one of the boys. I keep thinking of the original film clip to ‘It’s A Long Way’ filmed on the back of the truck in Melbourne and people standing around thinking WTF. You guys bring back the essence of those days. I'd like to know how the rhythm guitarist got his tone. That's not easy to replicate. I've been trying for years and have a Gretsch Malcolm Young 1 signature guitar.
Thanks! We’re using our Filtertron (Solodallas.com) pickup replica. Many Gretsch pickups today are overwound and too powerful. Originals were weaker - you MUST be clean/crunchy at most. A Marshall Superbass is also necessary. As an alternative, a JTM50 (50W) can be used. Next, a good microphone placed appropriately on the speaker cabinet (we use SoloDallas Impulse Responses for this) - which is not easy or intuitive - and lastly, playing it right. Malcolm Young’s style and tone might appear easy but it’s the exact opposite. A cleaner tone, huge strings and a PERFECT sense of timing are really a must to get the proper outcome. Although I've never heard this song, my ears tell me that the singer is as close to Bon Scott as they've ever experienced in any YT cover. My ears are really good and I swear, this is the first time I know if I hadn't watched the vid I would have been fooled. The guitars were rock solid and just so close to that AC/DC crunch/tone. Drums were solid. Solo was nothing but cruising with nothing to prove. I give 5 stars out of 5. This was unexpected for me. Very impressed. The mix? Even the mix is to be praised for the relative volumes of everything. The lead vocals were juuuuust present enough but not way up in your face. Just like old AC/DC tunes. great job everyone.

I remember watching you play guitar a couple years back and going... okay, he's good. In a kind of classic rock way. I just saw some thumbnail and thought I wonder what he's doing now.
