Man, the more reviews I watch of this bike, the more I wish i knew about it before I got my Rocky Instinct a few months ago. The low BB on that thing almost has me pedal striking on flat ground. 😆 Getting back to the Sentinel, another problem (for me) that the internal storage layout has solved, is the position of the water bottle. I've never understood why we're pretty much forced to reach down to our BB's to get a swig. 😆 While watching these reviews I've been drawn to how the bikes perform down the Waterfall section and getting up that big rock (10:30 in this video) . So far, the Sentinel and the Ari seem to handle those areas the smoothest and with the least amount of effort. Oh, and praise due for a slightly higher BB. Thanks for these reviews. They've been fantastic.
Another great review, straight to the point! One sugestion: When showing weights can you also show it in metric? I haven't got a doubt your channel will grow big time and people outside the US (like me) aprecciate that. Happy trails!
@@moandhannahtravel Thanks for the heads up, I'm not in the US and trails in my area are not ridable at the moment. While we do have some Transition dealers on this side of the pond, I don't believe fames or full builds have made it over yet.
Another great review. I'd really love to try a Transition, though I was leaning more towards the Smuggler since I've heard you can increase the shock to 140mm by removing a token. How was the pedaling efficiency of the Sentinel compared to other bikes? DW-link?
Dwlink is definitely more efficient but the giddy up feels more bottomless! The sentinel is an insanely capable trail bike, personally I would lean that way if wanted to prioritize downhill capability and then switchblade or Ripmo if I wanted to prioritize efficiency on a bike that is still insanely capable!! Makes sense? 😂
When I demo'd the V2 Sentinel twice it was a fantastic bike park bike, but really dull on even black diamond regular trail riding. Maybe just me but I don't see tightening up the HA 1 degree would make it vastly different from the V2? Around here I see a lot of older guys on the Sentinel and Ripmo, but it's over biked for 90% of them. Mo looking forward to the rest of your reviews, from the ones I have ridden Evil Offering and Forbidden Druid are at the top of my list for next bike
Dude how many old people are rattling their bones and joints mutliple times per week aside from those who are into mountain biking. They need the squish lol
Best advice I’ve ever been given is any bike can make it down any trail. It’s about how fast you want to get down that trail and how much room for error you want that determines how much travel you should go with!
It's pure marketing hype. All of these manufactures will make slight adjustments to an existing model when sales die down. That way they can essentially release the same bike but "updated" and Kickstart more sales, and unfortunately that dynamic feeds reviewers like this channel who pretend like it's new and improved to generate content and even more egregiously, sometimes get kickbacks from these manufacturers.
One of the major cons of this bike is rear tire clearance. You can even see in this video how little space is there between rear tire and frame. And this is 2.4 tire... Also this is not the first time Transition failed in that area. They had same problem with original smuggler.
@@Wes-o9t she tested 6 of the bikes out, her favorite ended up being her current bike the Ari Delano Peak and she will talk about that in the conclusion! she also takes a long time to warm up to a bike and likes to have it built up a certain way she’s used to! So she definitely likes more long term bike reviews!

@@moandhannahtravelI feel like designing in space for a small frame bag is the best of both worlds. No extra weight for people who don’t want it, and more volume for people who do. At least on larger frames that’s the way to go.
Top of my list. Sentinel, ripmo, yeti 140
All great options!!!
I am also stuck on these two. Coming from a We Are One Arrival 152.
@@calebwonhas5557 I would like to know what you end up with and how you like it, especially coming from a We Are One bike.

Rad review. Hunting for a frame only option of the sentinel for next season!

@ makes total sense. Thanks!
I'm actually about to demo a new Ibis Ripmo this week, so I should get a feel for things myself too.
@ P.S. I've been waiting for the Propain Hugene review to see how it does... Can't wait to hear.
If you had to choose, sb140 or the Sentinel?
Depends on what you want! Effienciny and a fast true trail bike, SB 140! Best at downhill and very capable but still fun as a trail bike, Sentinel!

I think you would be surprised! That degree plus a higher bb and higher stack height make a pretty big difference! Feels way more trail friendly now!

Im surprisedTransition didnt chose to put a massive kink in the seat tube to limit dropper insertion depth!!! J/K the rest of the bike industry
When are you going to do the patrol
Maybe next year!!
Sentinel vs instinct?
That is a tough one! Instinct if you want something light and customizable, Sentinel if you want a trail bike you can still take in the bike park!
There are bikes that Mo decided to stop talking and focus when riding through that rough rock garden. Sentinel is not one of them.
Good catch!
hmmmm...no Revel Rascal???
Where is Hannah with the review process?
Right behind the camera filming all of it and handling all of the logistics!

The best solution to onboard storage problems is to abandon that stupid idea, completely.
I like it, but also could go without it. Sometimes I do not want to have a riding backpack, nice to not have something on your back!
