I’m so glad you guys don’t just listen/analyse really mainstream songs and that you guys promote and talk about artists like her. A lot of people found her through you guys and that makes me happy. She’s honestly amazing
I know some people only watch when y’all react to their favs but it’s one of my favorite things to discover new music. I always watch your videos even if I don’t know the artist because then I find artists like Lee Jin Ah, Hyukoh, and Cacophony.
I discovered Cacophony through your reaction to Breath and Rosetta, and immediately downloaded her album, Harmony, from iTunes. I've been listening ever since. It's an amazing album, from a brilliant artist, that really resonates with me. Thank you both for introducing me to this music. I am excited about the interview and can't wait to see it!
omg this album is so amazing! I also nearly burst into tears when I listened to the songs. The story behind this album is really sad and touching too. I am very thankful and proud of her that she decided to start singing again. I wish her all the best in her career and life. I'm really looking forward to your interview with her!
I love your channel because not only you go in a more in depth analysis of my favorite kpop songs, but you also introduce me to amazing new artists. I found day6, akmu, lee jin ah and now cacophony through your reactions. I'm really grateful that you chose to react to them!
Yesssssss! There's so much to chew on in there. Listening through the whole album is really an experience. It left me very contemplative. It's beautiful.
Because it's not kpop I don't think I'd recommend reacting, but if you liked this, try react to Yoko Kanno's work, especially for the Zankyou no Terror OST. This album gave me pretty similar vibes to it :x
I can't believe I only found this now. I must have missed the video when you uploaded it and I am so shook!! The whole album is just so weird yet beautiful?! It feels so dreamy and almost otherworldly (is that a word?) like it's not even a real human voice but rather the manifestation of emotion and thought... After listening to her I feel irrationally sad about a loss I never experienced, yet also so calm at the same time. Thank you for introducing Cacophony to me and many others, this woman is so unique and amazing!
i discovered cacophony thru twitter when umu mentioned her and linked to rosetta, but i never listened to the album until just now watching this video. i can definitely say that i am blown away by how amazing every single song is! her voice is stunning and the general vibe of each song is something im personally really into. im SO glad i checked out this video and experienced her music. its like a piece of the puzzle of life that i didnt know i had been missing
This is my like hundredth time here. I can’t get over how ‘Tell Me’ sounds like a child’s room with a toy train, gun toys (the pew pew), and like toy soldiers (the symbol) and it pulls back from all of it like it’s a memory or even like a home video when in the middle there’s a brief section of tv static. This song is a masterpiece. It feels like someone’s youth asking them if now, they still love them.
So I think it is much better that you didn't read the review. Now about the comparison to Piaf: Their voices are a vaguely similar and at times they sing in a close cadence. But I think the reviewer is giving too much credit for her singing in French in order to make the comparison"fit". And although Piaf wrote some songs, she mostly had long standing relationships with her song writers (which often bled over to intimate ties); she was more of a lyricist. Where I think they truly overlap is in the feeling of their singing pain, longing,etc... For me if one mixed the voices and music Piaf and Syke Edwards of Morcheeba. That would closely compare to Cacophony's. Morcheeba was/is? a British electronica band with some trance influence (Except they also use mostly acoustic instruments including the double bass) formed in the 90's and most popular in the earlier 2000's. Oddly, or maybe not, Morcheeba were very popular in France!
Ive learned about so many amazing artist from you guys! Im sure youve hear it but im excited to see you guys analyze namjoons mono playlist. Keep up the great work!!!
I love how Umu experienced the 4th dimension and was literally spiritually ascending and Kevin just continued to analyze the song as if she wasn’t dying 😭😂
Oh My G!!! Less than 2 minutes and... I think I found my korean Björk!!!!!!! Maybe not!! I'm not finished the video!!! But I needed to point it out!!! LOL
I’m a bit late to the party heart (I didn’t realise you reacted to the whole album only ever Rosetta and Breathe) but just wondering if anyone else think the album sounds a bit reminiscent of the nier atomata sound track? It’s one of my fave albums of last year (possibly ever honestly) but can’t shake that it sounds like neir
Hi Umu! Please do a first listen for Monsta X's new album "Take.1 Are You There". I think you will be pleasantly surprised, and I'm interesting in knowing what you think of their musical elements. Thank you!
Am I crazy or was there a weird glitch part of the French song? Cause I was listening to it and it FREAKED ME OUT Update: It isn't part of the song and Amazon Music messed up real bad and everytime I listen to it there's a few certain parts that always glitch. But last night listening to it it scared me so bad.
This album really is a masterpiece, thank you so much for introducing me to Cacophony! EDIT: I thought you might like this, it's Obey Addiction by hyangni and I've never heard anything like it: ruclips.net/video/dFDrJ46eHww/видео.html
Whoaaaa this is good. You should check Robyn’s new Honey. AND WHAT IS THIS INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS ELEMENT? I live for it!!! Nine inch nails???!!!! Massive attack-ish/portishead?! oh man umu u should check tons of electro pop/industrial music, indie musician.
The vocal of her is insane! Okay this album, Rosalia (you should check this Spanish singer), and Robyn are my favorites female albums these days. Thanks for introducing me to this.
Are you guys gonna react to TWICE's Yes or Yes...? I saw Form of Therapy's reaction video where he mentions you guys and I'm curious about your opinion on the song?
I’m so glad you guys don’t just listen/analyse really mainstream songs and that you guys promote and talk about artists like her. A lot of people found her through you guys and that makes me happy. She’s honestly amazing

"comme un poisson dans le ciel" = "like a fish in the sky"
She has a slight accent but this song is so good 💜
OMG THANK YOU I WAS DYING FOR THIS REACTION 😍❤️ I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE GOING TO RELEASE AN INTERVIEW WITH HER 😱😍💜
Yesssssss! There's so much to chew on in there. Listening through the whole album is really an experience. It left me very contemplative. It's beautiful.
I have been anxiously waiting for you guys to listen to the full album! Thank you for introducing me to such an incredible artist!

Is there a word that describes getting sad from a song that isn’t inherently or blatantly sad? Because dang Tell Me made me cry

I love Cacophony. Reminds me of Cosmo Shelldrake. They would do great things together.
Oh My G!!! Less than 2 minutes and... I think I found my korean Björk!!!!!!! Maybe not!! I'm not finished the video!!! But I needed to point it out!!! LOL
She did MV's for all songs on the album. I hope you got a chance to see them all.
I'VE BEEN WAITINGGGG
Is “forever rain” still happening? It was on the upcoming umu/kevin reaction in the description of “Hello tutorial”.
she lost the footage of it, so no unfortunately

Is it something wrong with me that I started crying already when reading the description? Because it is so true...

16:28 that really reminds me of some dark ambient a'la Akira Yamaoka stuff from SH2, like seriously... really similar...
Can you please do more of her songs from Harmony as a whole like react to her other songs as a while group? Pls pls pls
When Kevin does a reaction, it seems mandatory to supply him with a keyboard.
This album really is a masterpiece, thank you so much for introducing me to Cacophony!
EDIT: I thought you might like this, it's Obey Addiction by hyangni and I've never heard anything like it: ruclips.net/video/dFDrJ46eHww/видео.html
