- For today's episode, I'll be wrapping up my much requested review for the final season of Narcos and reveal how historically accurate it is.

I think the thing i found most fascinating was that Gabriel Iglesias was hired to play a gangster in Narcos.

I'm very excited you're taking another look at narcos post Escobar. The entire show is amazing and u should totally do the rest of the Mexico seasons.
Yeah narcos mexico is way more interesting. Because the drug war in Mexico in many ways is even worse than colombia

@@Rahmatow mayo zambada the sinoala cartel capo is already in his 70s and he's never once been caught or killed. Escobar was only 44 when he died. That's impressive. It tells you he probley learned alot from Escobar's mistakes
Nick would have a field day picking apart Mexico's historical inaccuracies
And escobar never had narco tanks like the Mexican cartels do

I think Pena was brought back for a couple reasons. Number one: Pedro Pascal (pretty self-explanatory); number two: Pena was already an established character fans had come to love and having a bunch of random new characters would be distracting and less interesting; number three: Pena filling the role of various real life people makes the season and story telling more streamlined

Watch el patron del mal, a Colombian tv series about escobar without americans forced into the story. Besides name changes, it's much, much more accurate.

You beautiful man. I have been waiting for this for a very very long time, since Season 3 is my undisputed favorite of them all. The actors that played Jorge Salcedo, Gilberto and Chepe were absolutely amazing, Miguel's actor tho, not so much. Thanks for the vid, I will enjoy every second of it now.
Crazy I've just been rewatching the other episodes 🤣
Strangely I liked the third part more than the first two. All these characters - like "Pacho" or Gilberto Orejuela (the elderly "Godfather", with 4 wives - each one taking a different weekday! 😂) were fascinating in a dark, twisted way and the actors - NAILED THEIR ROLES 100%. The plot & sub-plots like the rivalry between Gilberto and Miguel (when he found himself in charge) - were gripping.
PS. - even though now I'm learning that wasn't 100% true. :)

Yes! New History Buffs a good way to sit home and recover from today's surgery. By far my favorite RUclips channel always fantastic very well done content. The wait between uploads is always long but the quality of the content shows the effort put in.
I don’t want this to come off wrong. I listened to Marc Bowden’s Killing Pablo on audiobook and I was pretty shocked that I didn’t really learn anything new from it. It really shows just how thorough you have been with your videos on narcos!
The writers from Narcos got a lot of their info from Marc's book.

This was another awesome video! Any chance you’d consider tackling Black Hawk Down? Because there is a lot of information given and it’s hard to tell sometimes the real story and also to understand the politics of the civil war that was happening and why they were there in first place.

You should consider working on an Oppenheimer review. It would be cool to get to know each and every member of the Manhattan Project and what happened to everyone involved with the outcome of nuclear war
I’m glad you took a look at the Cali Cartel’s part of the story. I’m hoping that once this story is covered. You could do Narcos Plaza. Another suggestion would be Pablo Escobar, El Patron Del Mar. it presents another take on the Pablo story.
El patron del mal isn't another take, is the more honest telling of the story without americans and Netflix dramatization.

Kinda annoys me how they purposely change a story a an innocent farmer getting brutally torn apart and replace it with a cartel member. These fucks hurt innocent people and the show tones that down to glamorouizw the main characters
