It's no surprise the sil wouldn't even answer the phone. She's been infantalized by her parents. If she does manage to get pregnant, her parents will have to raise the child.
If my mil or mother said that, I would go no contact, and if they dared to suggest their 'grandparents rights.' I'd remind them, 'If you had your way , my child would not exist.'
I don't understand why the daughter-in-law has to apologize for the in the end, why is someone apologizing for someone else?

What is a brand?
A mild cardin infarction that needs surgery? Doesn't sound reasonable to me. The author doesn't seem to have researched her story.
What is the brand, is it a typo, misspelling, or something cultural?
I assume it is a Door or part of a door.
You tell the story then you pause is no good looks like you reading the book

Liza had three other names, and the ‘brand’ is a mystery! The story was interesting, but all the confusion detracted from what was read. Please hire a copy editor.
