    Their music is so simple, but impossible to replicate.

      It *shows* simple, but it talks. Not simple at all.

    Before it was RE-visited ... Fred was ALREADY There! This is why Tedious Ted will NEVER Have Peace Of Mind; this Simple & Humble Old Man played CIRCLES around him without Shouting & Padded Call Histrionics ... by jus' playin' "The Straight Natch'l Blue" ... Ask The Queen Of My Soul, Bonnie Raitt!

    What an amazing musician Fred was. Why wasn't this guy as famous as B.B. King or John Lee Hooker???

    • @smoothoperator7023
      @smoothoperator7023 3 года назад +5

      He retreated from the music scene for years to work a regular job. Even after he was
      re-discovered, he cont'd to work a regular job. In my book he was just as famous & important in the blues genre- i love this man!

    Bluesrock is the best rock and roll . . . I like to say the blues is rock and roll without all the glam rock

      @@jasonhiggins8909 not if Blues was the original rock and roll!
      Mississippi Fred McDowell plays in the style of Charlie Patton; listen to Charlie's Prayor of Death. I'm forgetting which; I usually listen to both side by side; but, there's rock riffs in there.
