I just realized that if Liam would have had Quinn arrested for attempted murder a lot of bad stuff could have been prevented. Hope would not have lost her baby( because chances are it would have been Lopes baby instead) and Steffy wouldn't have married Wyatt, while thinking Liam dumped her for Ivy. Wow, what a difference one decision could have made.

Liam is his brother and until that was found out Wyatt never had a brother or a father or cousin Caroline or great cousin Douglas etc. And officially changing his last name from Fuller to Spencer is only way of Wyatt proving himself to being a Spencer in full.
