Great reaction to a vocal tour-de-force! You've done it now. You have fallen into the vortex of Angelina Jordan who arguably brings the most confident, versatile, seemingly effortless, and fearless vocal artistry found today (whether measured across artists, genres, or decades). You may think this an exaggeration but listen to a few more of her many performances (135+ covers plus original songs - all on YT) and you will see! She has been performing at a high level all over the world since age 8 when she won Norway's Got Talent singing Billie Holiday , Nancy Sinatra , and Gershwin. It is the rare singer that can, as Angelina has done, go from Queen to "Screamin" Jay Hawkins to Adele to Elvis to Whitney Houston to Etta James to Amy Winehouse (and many others in between) and do them all justice!
If you want to hear music, listen to anyone. If you want to feel music, listen to Angelina. She will stagger you with her ability to find and bring forth the 'essence', the emotional message of nearly any song. You have far to go with Angelina. She is equally comfortable and equally able to impact us whether singing a cappella, accompanied only by a piano or guitar, in front of professional studio musicians or a 40 piece military band. With her immense vocal toolkit, arranging ability (yeah, that too, since about 8yo or so) and the work ethic to make what she does only 'seem' effortless, she will hopefully be touching hearts for a long time to come. Wait until you find out why she performs barefooted.
Why God has performed the miracle of touching the world with one of such talent, musical IQ, commitment, and generosity as Angelina we can wonder but we must all marvel. Welcome aboard the AJ train! Please react to more of her impressive library.
It is truly a conundrum when we try to rationalize how it is possible that this tiny sweet-faced 9yo Norwegian girl can step up to a microphone, flip some switch within her, become this "beast-mode" version of herself (most probably named "AJ don't play"), deliver an extraordinary and musically and socially sophisticated performance, then just-like-that return to the pensive young lady once again... There aren't words for this!
"I Put a Spell On You" has been covered many times and is recognized as a classic, yet almost never is the tone of the original 1956 "Screamin" Jay Hawkins version captured. This is because Hawkins was the original shock rock guy (think Ozzy Osbourne type craziness) and his style is difficult to emulate and also because his dated delivery is uncomfortable and stereotypical to our modern sensibilities. Yet Angelina respectfully sings his own song in a manner that exceeds his (Hawkin's image is on the candle she holds at the start of her video). She starts low, rising in intensity throughout and finishes in an unexpected and practically operatic style.
You must go and listen to Hawkins' original (and throw in a couple of "famous" covers as well) to see the true genius in how AJ incorporates many of his vocal elements [usually omitted by most singers]. This shows another aspect of her musical IQ and arranging genius (not to mention her masterful control of her vocal instrument equaled by few others regardless of age). Since I found this little Angel sing " I put spell on you", I can't stop amazing her and enjoying her heavenly voice..I like a lot of singers and their songs, but I admit that I like her most. There must be an angel from heaven blowing heavenly wind into every note she sing..🆒🆒

Welcome to Angelina's world. She is an extraordinary young artist with over 140 covers and other videos that she has recorded between the ages of 6 and 15 which is her current age. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8 and has already established herself as an accomplished Jazz artist. Her preferred genre is Jazz but she has done covers of about every genre you can name. What you will find in Angelina is a vocalist who doesn't do vocal gymnastics, she simply and beautifully interprets the story and meaning of the song and pours her soul into every performance.
Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium, and Seoul South Korea with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 15, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. I have to admit... I am hooked on the Angel ever since I heard her sing. And I must have listened to this particular song about a 1000x's along with the rest of her songs. But now I find myself just viewing all of these to see the reaction that people give when listening to her for the 1st time. I am getting hooked on the reactions. She's 15 now but she started singing in the womb...and her foundation is blues jazz introduced to her by her grandmom. She can outperform anyone in any genre. Nobody but nobody can can emote so much emotion when she sings. Her audience is a mix of all ages, colors and nationalities...she's a living proof that music is not only the greatest form of art but its universal....thanks for a great reaction video...
She started singing jazz at 18 months old, studio recording at 6. Won norways got talent at 7 . Writing her own arrangements at age 8. This when she just turned 9, by which time she played 3 instruments spoke 3 languages and was the youngest published book author in norways history. She makes her own clothing and loves art. Her grandmother is iranian artist mery zamani. No she didnt write this song, its by screaming Jay hawkins who is on the mug she holds up. Here is an introduction to Angelina for you and your viewers who might not be familiar with her.
Angelina is Norwegian, her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar. Her father is Swedish, her mother is Norwegian from a Japanese father and Iranian Mother Mery Zamani who is a poet and a painter and was a child prodigy in her own rights. She started singing at the age of one and a half when she fell in love with Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. A year later she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and showed lot of interest in artists like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Dinah Washington, and Louis Armstrong.
Angelina pestered her mother to enter her in “Simons Show” as she called it from the age of 3. Her mother relented and entered her in Norway Got Talent at the age of 7 where she auditioned with Billie Holiday’s Gloomy Sunday. She went ahead to win the the big prize at the finals where she received 46% of the votes while the remaining 9 finalists combined received 54%. Angelina said she likes singing because she wants to bring joy and love to the whole world. One of her dreams from a very young age was to sing at the Nobel Peace Prize concert. She accomplished that at the age of 8 singing Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.
After winning NGT, she was flooded with offers from major music labels as well as Disney but they were all turned down by her and her family in order for her to continue her education and to protect her artistic integrity. Her uncle/manager in an interview last year he talked about music labels top executives who would fly to Norway on private jets with huge contracts offers but would leave mad and frustrated because they never expected being turned down.
Angelina is fluent in Norwegian as well as in English. She also speaks some Swedish which is very close to Norwegian and probably learned it from her father. She also speaks Farsi which she learned from her grandmother as well as some Japanese that she picked up from her grandfather as well as her mom and uncle who lived for a period of time in Japan. She actually performed a Japanese song at a concert in Japan.
Most of her performances after NGT were for charitable children organizations where she helped to raise millions.
At the age of 6 and while travelling in another country with her family, she came across a young orphaned shoeless girl who was weighing people on a bathroom scale for some coins in order to support herself and her siblings. After chatting with her for a while and without prompting from her family, she gave her shoes to the orphan girl. She recorded that incident in her diary and vowed to always sing barefoot when doing that in public to remember that girl and to remind herself and us about the many needy children around the world. At the age of 9 she wrote and published a book about that encounter making her Norway’s youngest published author. Proceeds from that book are donated to children charities.
Angelina Jordan has about 140 songs in her repertoire. Late last year she signed with Republic Records as their highest priority new artist. Her versatility is unmatched. She will wow and surprise you all the time. 15 years old today who is an excellent role model for today’s youth and her best is yet to come.

I mean, this content creator shows off impressive musical memory by remembering her older self from a silly talent show some few years ago (and since this is internet - do not be triggered - I was not saying that her performances on the show were silly at all - youtube is so trigger-happy one must cover all bases since forever). No shoes 8yrs she did some composing of the song by Screaming Jay Hawkings. Thanks for the response to Angelina. We are lucky to be able to follow a megastar that is created for us. And yes she has 1000 vocal voices that she is known for. She is now on the same record label as Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift. She was signed 14 years old to Republic Records. They can only press the button when they want to start, but I think they still take it easy when she goes to school and is only 15 years old. But such a large record company probably already has plans for the future.
Angelina has over 600 Million Views on RUclips and over 2 Billion Views on Facebook overall on her videos.

When she was on AGT she didn’t win because Simon offered her a lifetime contract. And they turned him down that’s why she didn’t win. She was also asked to go on AGT she didn’t go on the show because of her own wishes she was asked to go there. She won Norway’s got talent when she barely turned eight years old.
She wrote notes on the arrangement of the song. The song is a cover of Screamin's Jay Hawkins' version of the song. The pictur of the guy in the candle is Screamin' Jay Hawkins. She puts her own spin on his version.
