The dials are black and hard to read, the auto off button is on all the time, you don’t know when the iron is hot or not.

The water runs straight through it. How do I stop the water from leaking?

Text directions would be better. Plus, an actual on/off switch

Jaye Falls I know! I just bought the Focus Excel DW5225 and there are NO printed instructions on how to use it, only an accordion-style fold-out booklet with icons, a booklet with warranty info and safety info, nothing else. And their website has no additional info. Returning it, since I don’t know how to use it. @RowentaUS are you listening?

How do you open the full door? It won’t “pop” open as you kind of demonstrate

For one thing my hand must be abnormal. Holding the handle and trying to push the protruding thing Does Not Work

I have pushed, pulled but it does not open to fill. Any suggestions?

Do you have the use the Rowenta DW53 Focus Excel as a steam iron only - or - can you use it as a "dry" iron?

I am totally confused, I just burned by hand I thought it was off, but it was on, the light comes on for a few seconds, the red light is on because it is plugged in, but how do I know if the iron is on the liigjt does not blink or anything and if the iron sits for awhile does it turn off automatically then when I want to use it how do I turn it on, do I pick it up and shake it or what, your manual with instructions is totally terrible, absolutely terrible it says your cord retratcts, well it does not retrack, I cannot get the lid open to put water in, this is going back to costco faster than you can spit, so disappointed.

HORRIBLE. Turns off in a few minutes, no way to keep it on. Awful for intermittent ironing as in quilt block piecing.

yes I want to use it for quilting and it is totally useless, everything is wrong about this iron, I did not know the iron was on because it sat for half a day not usd and i grabbed the plate burnt my hand so bad I can't even sew now. what a waste of time for costco to have this in their store.
