Instead of misting every few minutes, (as most of us probably don’t have a system for that), would you suggest misting the cuttings and then putting a plastic bag over a pot with the cuttings to maintain the humidity? What time of year is best, and how long might it take for the blueberries to root? Thank you!

You would want to create a humidity dome of some type. It could be clear plastic tub or wrap. I will do that on plants when I just have a view I want to propagate. You can do this any time. I mainly take cuttings after fruiting is over. Just keep them shaded at all times. Hope this helps

Agreed. He doesn't tell us what time of year he is doing this or what his USDA Hardiness Zone is. He doesn't even clarify the type of blueberry plant he is propogating. He mentioned that he had some Premiere cuttings, but is he still working on a Premiere variety of blueberry? I think he mentioned that he didn't know the type he was propogating. Again, LOW information.

@@TheCanalZone He posted it on August 9, 2023, so the propagating in THIS VIDEO was prior to Aug. 9...my guess is was earlier that day or maybe a day or two earlier.. Elsewhere in the comments he states you can do it most anytime (but while there is fresh--green--shoots) but needs to be after fruiting is over. The timing (late July to early August) is pretty obvious from the short sleeves, growth of trees in earlier part of video and the cicadae chirping in the background (fruit bearing ends in late July in my area). As for the type of blueberries he told you at the first of the video. Go back and listen.

Can this be done any time of the year or is there an optimal time to do so? Thank you!

It can be done most any time you can cut soft wood from the bush but I usually wait until the fruit has all been harvested. For us this is early August.
