Chris Gibson honestly any singer songwriter playing a guitar is a better show for me but that's just me. Hip shows energy are cool but the backing track is to karaoke for me. Russ has a good voice to its be awesome to see him with a live band.
various genres have their strengths and weaknesses. but i agree with the OP, rap/hip hop shows really are some karaoke shit. not so great imo. for improvements: youtube search for *nicolas jaar boiler room performance* if ya can't appreciate the beauty in this, you're somewhere else. respect.
