- Dane is riding the stock 7'0 CI Mid here, which is 21 1/8” x 2 3/4" at 44.9 liters. The fins are an all-new CI MId two-plus-one set-up with a 6.5" center fin and matching 3.6" sidebites (also available in 4"). Glassed with 6 and 4 ounce on deck with 6 on bottom.
The CI Mid is a modern classic design inspired by the clean, longer-railed lines drawn by traditional eggs and single-fins, infusing that timeless vibe with the crispness, sensitivity, and freedom made possible by modern features synonymous with Merrick design principles. Boasting a sleek, egg-like template with low entry rocker and foam a tad forward for ease of paddle and effortless trim speed, the CI Mid scoots, squirts and swivels thanks to contemporary features like double-barrel concave, graduated rocker, and hard, slightly tucked rails through and off the tail.
A reliable all-arounder that flies over the flatter, smaller stuff, the CI Mid really stands apart from other eggs and various midlength designs out there, especially in shoulder-high to nearly double overhead point surf, where surfers are able to lay down flowy, arcing turns with total confidence, speed, and control.

I ride something similar and I’m super stoked on the performance of my 8.2”. I’d get arrested for speeding if there was a local water patrol ever in the area.
@@mauifilms4632 I didn't get the C I Mid in the end ,I went for the Pukas la Cote instead at 6'11 ,bigger than what I usually ride but boy am I scoring more waves ,I absolutely love it ....Good your liking your new board mate ....Happy surfing 😁🤙

I know this isn't a C.I. Water Hog but my 7'2 Water Hog is the best damn surfboard I've ever owned in 30 plus years surfing. I feel like I'm sitting on a secret in the line up. I'm 49, 5'11, 200 lbs and it surfs as responsive as my old Natural Art 6'4 Rich Price. 🤙😷🇺🇲
