- Recording artists New Edition, Michael Bivins, Ralph Trevant, Johnny Gill, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe and Ricky Bell were honored with the 2,600th Star on the World Famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, in the category of Recording, on January 23, 2017, in Los Angeles.
Well deserved! No disrespect; but with all that they've done in the past, they should've had one before New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men. Let's be real, they were the blueprint for those groups.Thank you for recognizing New Edition.

The way Bobby's son looked at his daddy and then Ralph. Priceless!! You can see he loves Ralph because he was looking at him with admiration/love, until he noticed him and then he waves. Ralph bent down and gave him a hug.
I'm so Happy for New Edition. I love all of them. I have followed them when they were young and so was I, and all the way to when they became Adults. My Sister and I saw them in Concert in Chicago on their tour singing can you Stand the rain? And Bobby's My Perogative and Al B Sure Night and Day. We screamed our heads off. I screamed for Ralph who's my favorite and my sister screamed for Johnny. We had a good time and I will ALWAYS Love all of them. I hope Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who says they want to work with them on a new album make it happen. We want the return of real music. I'm vowing to see their next concert God Willing. Love you guys.

People/Fans actually have to send in a nomination form to the committee in order to be nominated. Also it cost about $30,000 which pays for the Star Ceremony, and maintenance of their lifetime place on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. NSYNC was just announced a Star for 2017..but their fans only have raised 6K to pay for the fees.
