    While in reality At about 7 m (23 ft) in length, with a weight of about 400 kg (880 lb), Dilophosaurus was one of the earliest large predatory dinosaurs and the largest known land-animal in North America at the time and since that Dilophosaurus is known from the Kayenta Formation, which was primarily deposited by rivers. There, it lived alongside prosauropods and the armoured Scutellosaurus, as well as an Early Jurassic species of Coelophysis, which had been one of the most common predators in the Late Triassic.

      This dilophosaurus should be renamed sinosaurus,since some of the dilo fossils in the game can be found in china,as well as this dilo being about the same size as sinosaurus
      This may or may not be supported but there was a deviantart drawing picturing sinosaurus with a frill like the dilo.

    • @silvertheelf
      @silvertheelf 3 года назад +1

      @@junotus198 no, it’s a tiny bit smaller than sinosaurus, but I do agree other than the fact that they didn’t have sinosaurus in Jurassic Park/World, it’s probably a sinosaurus though, since you mention it.
      Also dilophosaurus having a frill and/or poison is not scientifically supported, but it’s just fun to add so people add it anyway, I mean who doesn’t like Jurassic Park?
      Be aware originally sinosaurus was called ‘Dilophosaurus Sinensis’ when the original movie came out.
      Also it was called ‘Shuangbaisaurus Anlongbaoensis’.

However, being such a unique dinosaur, I'm disappointed with Frontier for not making her kill/hunt animations unique as well, though I have no doubt that they wanted to. Probably, the bane of the gaming development world, time constraints, is to blame.

      Okay, but who cares?
      Jurassic Park is a work of science fiction.
      Not a scientific study.
      Besides, even animal documentaries are not realistic. If I take the example of filmed documentaries, many directors use trained animals to make their films. What you see on the screen is very rarely the raw reality. It has been scripted, prepared, modified to be exploitable for entertainment purposes.
      Cinema is credible but never realistic. No film is realistic, even the artistic currents that have tried to get as close as possible to a form of realism are not. From then on, we enter the realm of fiction, of creation, and this is precisely what Crichton defended when he was alive about Dilo. His right, as an author, to shape reality according to his imagination.
      And this concerns Jurassic Park but also all other artistic creations.
      Cinema is art, not science.
      So it doesn't really matter if the dilo doesn't correspond to the image we have of it in 2021 (and which will still evolve, exactly as the spinosaurus has scientifically evolved over the last 20 years as new discoveries are made).
