  • ATF regulates the U.S. explosives industry and is the lead Federal agency for the investigation of explosives related incidents in the U.S. The Explosives Recognition and IED Exploitation for Intelligence Analysts (ERIE) training course was developed at the request of the National Counter Terrorism Center (NCTC) to serve as a follow on course to the Defense Intelligence Agency’s (DIA) Explosives, IEDs and Ordnance Familiarization course.
The purpose of ERIE is to provide intelligence analysts with an introduction to commercial explosives, homemade explosives, post blast investigative techniques, and CONUS based trends. All of the lectures and practical exercises are oriented towards the core duties and responsibilities of intelligence analysts.
The course is delivered at the National Center for Explosives Training and Research (NCETR), Advanced Explosives
Training Branch, located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. NCETR is a modern facility with multiple classrooms, laboratories, and explosives ranges specifically designed for explosives training and research and is one of the nation’s premiere explosives training and research facilities.

It’s a great career path for killing children, taking photos over their burned bodies, and then facing no legal consequences for it.
