@@lunaticbseker in my head I was like, duh they obviously jacked it up.
with great effort
Well, just push your back into it
I wanna see how they put these things under the school in the first place.
Not so difficult. They used a few giant cranes to lift the building, about 8000 tons, then put those walking devices underneath.
Take a small part of building surface (2x2m). Dig under, about 2m deep (depth depends of how high it need to be for excavation engine to go under)
Put temporary pillars to sustain that part.
Repeat.
Once it's done, the building is suspended on those pillars.
Take again some 2x2 m.
Remove pillars only there to make a robust concrete level surface that stops about 80cm below the building.
Place a machine to hold that part.
Repeat.
Then the building is fully standing on robots, in the meantime, the level concrete surface has been extended all the way the building is to travel.
Now walk to final location.
Rising or lowering the building is a way more difficult task, and could certainly not be done by cranes.
