People underestimate what having players like him in your buildup can do. It's why, if United are going to continue down this path, which it's clear they're going to because of their manager, he will have to get a decent shot-stopping keeper who's more comfortable in possession, allows them to recycle the ball and also gives them the confidence to play a high line... obviously he'll have to be better than De Gea in the air and command his area better too (easy bar to clear) so he relieves pressure off the team defensively and so opposing teams aren't camped around their box. Ederson isn't the best shot-stopper in the world but he has as many golden gloves as De Gea, why? because he rarely has to make a ton of saves and more often than not he's able to make a decent save to keep his team in the game. They may not be the shot-stopping difference in the odd big game but in every game, they allow the team to always play on the front foot. Look at Orega in the FA Cup final or Onana in the Champions League final. They're not the best shot-stoppers, but they were very effective.

he could improve on areas he punches his hots, but i believe with experience, he can make better of these. great passing and also the team must make it possible to have them to receive or make area and moves where to receive the pass. this is the goalie man utd ought to buy. at an alleged 13mil euros, he is a very good keeper to replace but also compete with DDG at man utd. they should buy him really quickly even before they resolve their takeover otherwise the takeover may affect man utd as it messed up chelsea
He has a tendency to push the ball in front when facing a shot rather than to the sides giving the opposition another shot at goal! We already have a similar goalkeeper at United Matty Kovar, he is a better shot stopper and his distribution is at par with this guy. Also won the league at the club he was loaned at.
