"RM is a party in a library" is my new favorite description. 🤣 Young RM was so angry (with good reason) - he exorcised some demons on this mixtape. The fire is banked now, but every now and then he and the rapline slide in and fire shots. 😂💜
Namjoon does ask a lot of questions and still carries on in mono but when Indigo comes then he somewhat finds himself and his purpose that he has been searching for
Yeah 🙂 he’s gotten closer to his answers 💜 But in a way, he may never find them The questions he asks have been asked for thousands of years and tormented many a philosopher- like wondering how to change our world and brighten it, how to do the most good and prevent the most hurt, what is the meaning of life- Namjoon inspires me
@dysmissme so true and more questions he asks he may even get less answers because how life changes and answers can change and you can never understand life than life itself and namjoon knows that ... he always shows that in his work and definitely an inspiration
This was the very first time that anyone in bts tried a solo project at all. Back in 2015, when their future was still so so so uncertain and all the members seemed to be struggling with a lot of personal shit....RM did something mad brave, and I adore this mixtape, it was a great project
@@blueturtle1813 I said projects specifically to mean album/mixtape, because even jhope had credits as a feature...I disregarded their predebut work cuz only in that regard. I agree that they created a lot of songs predebut
namjoon’s duality is INSANE. the lyrics that he writes for army and bts are so gentle and sweet but when it comes to anyone against them, he doesnt show any mercy 😭😭
I'm so happy you go in chronological order because RM is literally a poet telling us his story in the most beautiful way. Once you get to know BTS history a little better and put the music in the context of what they went through it will be mindblowing, heartbreaking, and hopeful. I mean, every time i go back to older content the whole story gets more solid shape and I love each of BTS members more for sticking with music, sticking with BTS and sticking with ARMY because they created something precious and beautiful through the years, even though it was not easy.
this is so true. their entire discography (group and solo) reads like a coming of age story and it’s without a doubt the most beautiful artistic phenomenon i’ve ever encountered
The main purpose of Bang PD (creator of BTS) was always to debut RM, either solo or with a group, as he saw enormous potential in him. And this is just his first mixtape years ago, today he has changed, grown even more as a person and as an artist, has improved as a composer, writer and producer. RM is a genius, not for nothing is the leader of BTS, he has great simplicity, intelligence and certainty when saying what he wants to say. He is the leader that everyone needs, if presidents were like RM, the world would be a better world. And honestly at present I do not know any artist as capable as RM, I am happy to start your week dedicated to RM I was waiting for it. I'm sure you'll love Namjoon (RM) as much as you did with J-HOPE and Jimin.
RM has 148 IQ that man is a genius, lyrics are flowing music is vibring and resonate in his blood and that makes great masterpiece. Love your reactions
All the story tidbits (that we're allowed to know of) about how the members came together under RM's leadership is remarkable too... JK chose BigHit because of RM; JHope was going to leave the group during tough times, before RM stood up for him; Suga's compliments to RM for his leadership, that without him, BTS wouldn't have achieved what they had thus far, etc. RM's the core, well-deserving of the respect he receives.
joon has implied he isn’t as proud of this mixtape but i think he should be. this was his feelings and work from over 10 years ago. his style has changed a lot but i think this is a great reminder of his beginnings and the fire that fueled him then :’)
Absolutely here for you to witness the genius that is RM! We often call him the philosopher who raps. He really make you think.. You should know that RM used to dream of becoming a poet before he fell in love with rap at the age of 13. Not many are fans today are aware that RM actually had quite a bit of pre-debut music as well and was a pretty well-known rapper in the Korean underground hip hop scene. There are forums where he used to post his music and there were grown rappers who used to get intimidated by this skilled 14 year old hehe.. There was never any doubt about his skills. It's just that his peers and others who knew him from the underground scene turned their backs on him and considered him a sell out for joining BTS. They are some of the main people that he calls out in his music because the way they suddenly switched up on him stung and caused internal conflict. It's one of the reasons why he questioned his identity as a rapper, idol or artist so much in his music. So if anyone says that people thought he wasn't a good rapper, that's not really what it was. It's more like the "hip hop peers" who cast him out questioned his sincerity and his identity while hyping try-hards who tried to tried to mimic their stereotypical ideas off what hip hop should be. RM is too well-versed with his hip hop knowledge to let those fools get away with criticising him for not being macho and hard enough after joining BTS. What better way to much them than to ask them if they are more hip hop than asap and Kanye? 😂 I'll forever be thankful to Bang PD who saw RM's talent and recognised that this was not something he could pass on. He said he was blown away by the depth of RM's lyricism and mind from the very beginning and that's how he decided to put together BTS with RM as the foundation stone. And look how far they've come now.. 💜 PS. I can't help but write essays when it comes to BTS, sorry 😅
Back then RM got comments from underground artists that he's not a rapper and he can't keep the flow. Dude basically made a song "Joke" to make fun of his haters, proving he can rap to any flow (the rap's speed gets faster as song progresses). And there is a line that basically sums the whole song up: "this is a meaningless wordplay". RM basically just made a song in a style that many rappers at the time made songs - without any deep meaning. So he's in a way proving - no matter what lyrics I write, I'm still better than y'all haters. Lastly the "HIT ME" is him challenging his haters (esp those in the industry mocking him) to respond to him in rap. And NO ONE EVER RESPONDED.
When i see you using the doolset translations i cheer! With joon’s lyricism doolset’s page just look green cause there’s an explanation for every line 😆 Also nice butterfly necklace
It warms my heart to see RM being appreciated. He is truly special... All the boys are special 💜 he is a poet. He writes the majority of the songs for BTS as well. I feel he is so underrated. He is also so humble and lives as his own person without letting fame get to his head .
Literally my favorite reactor literally so glad you found bts and I found you just wanted to say that rm is so amazing love his way with his lyrics he’s so poetic you will have to do some research when it comes to his lyrics to get the full grasp of what he’s saying and feeling but truly hope you enjoy loved your jimin and JHOPE reaction as well 💗💗
Rm is such a genius bruh. He gives me existential crisis everytime. Especially in these early tracks. He makes me think... obviously this was written at a time where he was feeling so defeated cus bts got rejected by the k hiphop community where he started from. He had to question his identity as a rapper. His music and lyric nowadays is a mature man's music, somebody who is so stable. The early rm was going through a crisis. Adrift and I believe and do you is my favorite tracks off of this. You are amazing for checking out the whole thing in one video. Man, it's easier to understand lyrics if you use lyric videos... cus its already synced and you don't have to do 3 things at a time. Thats why reactors generally use lyric videos. But I love this method you used cus you are giving plays to the artist. That's very important too. And plus you get the details. Also man after you get to Indigo, I would love to see you check out suchwita. Suchwita is a RUclips talk show that Suga started for the bts members to come on and promote their music 😂😂😂😂 a real brother right there. The first episode of suchwita guest is RM who talks about indigo and 7th episode is Jimin who comes on for Face. They had other guests on there but the energy is different with bts ×bts. Its so comfy listening to them banter and give off sibling vibes and talk about music. Edit again: I just wanted to add, you the only reactor on youtube who seems to be diving into their music this deep. The rest of the reactors be reacting to dance practices without checking out the music videos and lyrics... we can tell when people do it for clout man. Man I love you tribe loui. You are giving off the same energy I did when I first started diving into bts. I can't wait for you to get into the bts concept albums man, those are some deep shit... you will be mind blown, probably have headaches trying to process how the songs are all interconnected in one album.
Same saammeee But the existential crises I get from Namjoon always feel good, he somehow never leaves me feeling despondent Namjoon’s words always manage to leave me with more hope, and more faith then I came with
Also I just wanted to add, you don't need to check out every single solo songs from rm or any other member right now cus many of them are part of bts albums. Bts albums have themes and the songs make more sense to be listened as part of the album... example reflection, trivia love and persona... those are conceptual songs that make sense as part of an album. So you can skip those for now. And wait for the bts albums.
i remember being a baby army finding out about the hyyh universe and staying up at night reading for hours on end about the theories. and i went fucking feral when love yourself dropped with more hyyh videos and i still go nuts at the mere mention of hyyh 😭 wouldnt exchange the experience for the world. in fact i wish i could relive it all over again
RM has alot of questions -- that hits the nail on the head. he's very introspective and hungers for answers, hungers to understand life. in that way i relate to him so much, literally went thru periods of torment trying to figure out the purpose of life, and what i should do next, to the point of paralysis (that's an unhealthy way) but i feel namjoon so much.
i really wish we could listen to this on spotify 😭 seriously rm is so human, but also a genius ??? he has this duality that makes me feel like he’s too wise to be real, but also too relatable not to be. it’s amazing. truly one of my greatest inspirations when it comes to music and just writing in general.
Namjoon is actually a POET. I think that's why most of the time I relate to his lyrics the most. He's so smart and in touch with his feelings. Expresses things in a way most artist don't.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANKYOUU this mixtape is such a hidden gem that many might not know about. he was writing lyrics like this not only for himself but also being responsible for a large chunk of bts discography from such a young of age which blows my mind. so pumped for rm week 🔥🔥🔥🔥
When he mentioned "throw away your Bottega wallet" to those grown ass rappers who talk sht about him when he was teenager,im screaming because RM now is Global Ambassador of Bottega Veneta, imagine how pressed those rappers rn 😂😂😂
Also FYI Joke is a masterpiece ! It has 16 flow switches, 24 unique rhyme schemes of which 7 are bilingual with one rhyme every 1.26 seconds! The number of alliterations and repetitions used so well! Its just clever masterful wordplay from start to finish! And even though he said its purely to showcase his rap techniques and for auditory pleasure, the lyrics are a whole study by itself. Does have some female specific derogatory terms, for which he's since apologised, and though I wasnt a fan of them in the beginning it makes sense on the context of emasculating these hyper macho rappers who'd put him down; and the way he was prone to using them at that age, then learning it wasnt right, apologising for it, learning from it and then proceeding to never repeat it all rings true and sincere.
I dislike how some ppl are trying to cast RM, Rm/nAMJOONS first project, as a project to quickly move on from or as something to simply showcase his growth. TF, RM released this brilliant work WHEN HE WAS FUXING 21. RM is a fuxing masterpiece, and then take into account that this was his frist project and it was this good? No wonder he is the brain and core of the BTS legacy
You're the only reactor I'm watching. I stopped watching reaction videos to BTS cuz it was all clout chasing. You're so genuine and funny. Stay this way. And happy BTS journey lol. ...it's gonna be a rollercoaster
I'm excited for you to see how Namjoon (RM) goes on a journey through his 20s where he learns to release all this anger and sorrow he had in him and goes on to live a life where he doesn't look back. I like to think of his three works like this: Mixtape "RM": Full of anger, assertiveness, and questioning. Mixtape "Mono": Full of sorrow, introspection, and loneliness Album "Indigo": Acceptance, hope, and maturity I hope you react to some of his other solo tracks that aren't on his mixtape/album like "Trivia: Love", "Reflection" & "Bicycle" (they're such good songs!)
RM is now the Global Ambassador for Bottaga, he is the first celebrity for the brand in its 57 years history. They are for the above tax bracket people their clothes do not carry tag or name on it.. But we army knew for years that this is the brand that suits him. RM is basically a scholar who writes poetry, love arts, nature, have this under stated elegance about him who also raps. I would be afraid to go to his house and touch anything..
RM has a high IQ, is very interested in art, and has been rapping apprx 14 years. His lyrics MATTER. "Joke" is a flex for the haters who dis'd him & suga for becoming idols. Love your reactions!!!
A little bit: RM's connection to Bottega Veneta kinda came full circle since he dropped his mixed tape. He was recently invited by Bottega Veneta to attend the brand's Milan Fashion Week show as a special guest, sitting front row. All BTS members have been global brand ambassadors (for Louis Vuitton). Several members were recently named global brand ambassadors for various fashion houses (JHope - Louis Vuitton; Suga - Valentino; Jimin - Dior, Tiffany & Co; V - Celine; JK - Calvin Klein), feeding into expectations that RM may be named for Bottega Veneta at some point.
Namjoon (RM) said many years later that he is embarassed about his first mixtape, that from his pov it isn't the best quality and could have been better BUT us as army would never change this masterpiece.. fr i completly fell in love with this mixtape when i started getting to know BTS in 2016
So glad you’re looking into RM’s mixtapes in chronological order. I had forgotten how extraordinary the tracks on RM are, not having listened to them in a long time. So thank you Tribe Loui for bringing Awakening, Rap God, Rush and Life to my attention at this time when innocent new ARMY and ignorant pseudo ARMYs (those who are fans for superficial reasons) show themselves to be unaware of his level of talent and can be so utterly disrespectful of his role as a musical pillar of BTS. Your genuine discovery and appreciation give me hope that not all is lost on the young and recent “converts”. May your journey with these artists be a life changing one, and may you be blessed richly with years and years of their intelligent and healing music.
RM is literally a lyrical poet- you are going to enjoy the rest of the week 💜 and as you dive further into the rest of the members and all their talents you'll truly understand how they are a once in a lifetime group of individuals who became a brotherhood and extended their family to include ARMY. Love your enthusiasm and when you are just vibing to the songs 🎵 😂 Also, so now in 2023 (8yrs after this) he wouldn't be throwing out his Bottega wallet as he is their first celeb ambassador 🎉
omg you finally found doolset i've been screaming about it lmao. also feel free to go through the lyrics one more time after listening to the song or look at a interpretation or explanation video !!! namjoon is a wordsmith take your time to relish his greatness 😌😌
GOD RM IS LITERALLY LYRICAL GENIUS MAN CREATS NOTHING BUT MASTERPIECES! And the fact that he’s the first celebrity brand ambassador of Bottega Veneta is just so funny bro😭😂
Oooooooo Love this..man, when u binge hearing RM song & rap, u will be reborn as new human being 😂😂😂. His lyrice & voice push u brain to rethink about ur life & life itself 😂😂😂
Wow, I've been listening to mono and Indigo so much I forgot how raw and powerful Namjoon's 1st mixtape was. It's like I heard some songs for the 1st time again. Loved this listening party ehehe
you just get it. even for a first listen, the way you summarized his album for your preliminary review is so spot on. really love how you can have fun listening/reacting while digesting the songs and the overall album, which is not common in reactors i dare say. so these days i rarely watch reactors but you just got me bro. keep being real!!
There is an old show called “4 Things” that has an episode on RM. It’s from early in BTS’ career (I think in the first year or two) it can be found on RUclips with subs. The episode outlines why the underground hip hop scene dislikes RM and BTS. The show even interviews a hip hop group that used to have RM in their lineup. Some of the interviewees like Supreme Boi and E11even were in the original lineup for BTS but left because they didn’t want to be idols. Supreme Boi was a producer at HYBE until about a year ago and can be seen in the credits of a lot of HYBE group songs. The episode is worth seeing for the history because it was filmed while he was making this mixtape. You can see the culture of idol vs hip hop artist in it and explains some of the hate they get.
RM has made Armys go searching for all the references he makes in his lyrics. Quite an education. Thank you for your genuine appreciation of their hard work.
It’s so fun watching you get familiar with each of the guys! Namjoon (RM) was the one who brought me further into BTS after I slipped down the rabbit hole. He’s mind blowingly talented and an awesome human being! He’s the poet of my life, no exaggeration.
54:13 yes!!! his mind is AMAZING. it’s like he lives to find answers and he brings us along for the ride :’) my favorite thing is when he writes ARMYs long letters almost like journal entries. and yes he always has us looking up references to art/music/poetry. joonie our forever poet 💘
Thank you for listening to Namjoon's mixtape! I appreciate your reaction. I appreciate your sunny personality, you made me smile a lot and I had a great time watching your video. Namjoon is like a poet, I'm sure you will appreciate his other songs as well. 😄
The more reactions of yours I watch the happier I am that I found you. It's so rare to find people that are genuinely interested in the lyrics behind Joon's music. Also, I really enjoy your long-ass videos - especially when you get side-tracked by random videos that you weren't originally planning on watching 😂 Thanks for being you Loui 💜
Oh my god it's so fun to watch someone really getting into RM! Despite being rough around the edges I fucking love this mixtape, there's so much energy and texture and he has so many interesting things to say. When I was reading the lyrics for the first time I had to keep stopping and being like "Namjoon? Namjoon! This is too good! How can you be this good??" It really blows my mind that he was only 18-19 when he wrote all this! I feel like people often skip over their older music even though there are so many gems to be found, so thanks for going on this whole journey, and hopefully bringing some new people with you who never bothered with the old stuff before. Personally I also adore Mono and Indigo, seriously I think they are both absolute masterpieces, emotional, thoughtful and mature, but I would also be overjoyed if Namjoon decides to 'bring the monster back' every now and then in the future. Some people say "oh he grew out of that phase he's more mature now" and that's not totally wrong, his perspective naturally shifted with age, but being more mature doesn't mean he has to be calm and composed all the time. He mentioned in a recent interview he might be working on some 'boom bap bangers' like he used to do, and I for one am 100% here for it.
RM the mixtape is legendary, Namjoon's lyrics always hit me so hard. I was so happy to see you reading the lyrics and understanding his message 🤝 I don't comment much but your reactions always makes me laugh, can't wait for you to get to know both RM the artist and Namjoon the human being! 😊
Namjoon is a poet like rapper fr It's a saying in our fandom that AGUST D will tell you you're a piece of sh¡t, RM will explain you why and how you're a piece of sh¡t and Jhope will tell you it's okay for you to be a piece of sh¡t. 😭 Haters really get dragged hard by BTS rap-line in every imaginable way possible lol
Thanks, Loui I'm loving your Split Screen with Lyrics and MV -- that's real Fire! 🔥That's how many Reactors should learn how to do this for their Own and Viewers Benefits -- to understand what RM is actually SPITTING. FACTS! 🔥💜
Listening to RM is to read and feel his lyrics...the melody is supportive...his lyrics....complex prose....wordplay....are the reasons he is a legend..
Literally caught up to your BTS journey and I LOVE your interest in the depth of their music and that it's actually genuine. Plus, your chaoticness is a mood lmaooo I'm here for the journey 😂😂💜💜💜
Doolset is such a gift 💜, I love the idea of going through each member a week too :D Your videos are turning turning into a schedule with late night homework
To anyone saying Joke doesn't mean anything, please go educate yourselves. The ones that think fast rap= good rap. Yeah, it is good because he does it. Good rap comes in many forms. Joke has too many layers for a single comment, but it has meaning. That's why I discourage any new reactor to check it as measure of what RM can do, because who can talk about his voice like that? Who can tell you to do you? Who can rhyme so beautifully and reference a dead French poet? Who can tell you he's built like a model and proceed to diss you? Who can tell you to throw it all away and make you jump around like crazy? Who can make you feel twice, once with the music and another time with the lyrics? Who can tell you so beautifully that he feels lost? To this day, this man is a poet and nothing is nonsense. For Loui: the second verse in Monster he uses similarly in his solo song Persona (along with the intro of one of their albums, but that's for another day). They reference other's works (music, paintings, literature...), their own works, their patterns throughout their music that it's beautiful to see. Before reacting to Indigo, you need to listen to Persona as a link. As mentioned, you'll see this flow there but also some lyrics later in one song (not telling you which one :P). The cohesive work they present from their predebut moments till now is astounding and amazing to witness and be part of ^^
Totally appreciate the way you reacted to Rm…it will be my go to reaction video to anyone who is open to checking out RM…like seriously. The respect and insight you shared here is exactly how I’d want others to appreciate his art and humanity. Thank you smch. 💜💜💜🇵🇭
Thank you for your reactions! 💜💜💜 Became a fan instantly because I can feel you really appreciate their art and just have fun diving deep into the rabbit hole. Please never change! Besides his solo works, I definitely would recommend to react to his collab with Wale ‘Change’.
Joon is a genius lyricist. He as a person and his music have grown alot through out the years im actually really excited to see your reaction to Mono and Indigo in comparison.
wow, finally someone who not just react to the solo projects of the boys but do even the olds mixtapes and songs. thank you so so much for this. his first mixtape deserves love too. thank you for took the time for each one of them. its crazy to see someone actually reacting to the full first mixtape... you are amazing for that
He’s something isn’t he? All this swag for a FREE MIX TAPE. 😂. Love when RM has no chill and goes off. When this came out he and Suga especially had been taking massive amounts of heat from the underground rappers many even friends for betraying hip hop for “idol life” and although they addressed it in the BTS Cyphers both go off the chain feral in their first mixtapes. IMO easily shutting up the haters with sheer talent success and enough lyrical heat to fry anyone. I’m still salty we can’t but it stream this I love the anger in this mixtape and wish I could easily workout to it. I can never pick a favorite but Do You and Monster are usually up there for the top spot. Your reactions are very very fun! 💜💜💜
And that's why i will keep saying again and again Namjoon is one of the best song writers in the industry right now. A lot of music he produces is organised very smartly. There are way too many layers when it comes to his music, his lyrics. He plays on words like nothing while an average person sit there and try to decode what did he just say?😭 I am not saying this as his fan but as a general person, i have so much respect for him. Thanks Tribe for giving a good listen to his underrated discography. You will be more amazed and pleased when you listen further his mixtapes and album and the songs he has written for bts as a group. ☹️
RM is just a poet who decided to express himself through rap, he honestly blows me away every time i hear him! there's so much music from him and that always talks the loudest, but i still hope you'll get to see his leader side and his goofy side as well during the week!
Love your videos! Thank you for listening to RM's early music. Not many armys know of these songs thank you for getting them into light. these songs are so raw. It really reflect the anger, the hunger, the determination of RM to prove something against all the people who doubted him. and like as years progress you can see his musical journey and it makes you appreciate his music more. it just all makes sense. 👌✨
RM is a lyrical genius and his ability to switch between complex flows and rap seamlessly between 2 languages is unmatched. His command and diction is amazing. There will never be anyone like him.
Voice reminds me of a tweet he tweeted in 2015. roughly translated to “inevitably me and my people will succeed.” it’s his vow that he’ll slowly and quietly raise his voice higher until someone hears his voice, until he finds his people
Was brought here ofc by the bts content and so glad i was. Love your channel! You are smart and funny and engaging and you really get them and their music. Big fan and as an RM bias, I am excited about this week 💜 thanks for all you do.
Finally my bias week 😁😍 Namjoons lyrics is my home. That's why he's my bias. This and his brain, charisma, kind ❤️, love for crabs and plants😂,his love for art... and he's hotter than lava🤷
My one true wish in life is to someday sit down with RM and just have a conversation on life and existence. Because this man's brain and thoughts are a sexy wonderland! This album was a perfect record of his growing pains, not entirely polished, still rough around the edges, still learning but so damn truthful about it all. His words are poetry. His lyrics are an affirmation, a question, a warcry and a door into euphoric oblivion all at the same time. This was him baring himself. And showcasing himself, his thoughts and talents. All the while promising himself, that he'd continue to do so. And continue to be better. Until he can be truly called the greatest ever.
That last track "I Believe" had the bts members join in the chorus...they hv always be supportive of each other....and this song was such an anthem for their suitation at that time
As a fandom, army need to study so much when I comes to bts, they always use references, paintings, psychological archetypes, writters, movies, books, etc. They love what they do and it shows, this is why army always says that you aren't gonna find another bts, they are so unique, and so different to each other, you have 7 people, 7 artists and seven types of art. It's amazing
There is a reason why he is consistently voted Best Leader in KPop, he is incredible. He's so smart and the rest of his music will continue to blow your mind!
"RM is like a party in a library" truer words have never been spoken :D
"RM is a party in a library" is my new favorite description. 🤣
Young RM was so angry (with good reason) - he exorcised some demons on this mixtape. The fire is banked now, but every now and then he and the rapline slide in and fire shots. 😂💜
😂😂😂😂
Lmao I read your comment before I heard him say it and literally gasped out loud with laughter LMAOOO 🤣🤣
Ikr!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The most accurate description, that man has the beats and the words!
Singing Ugh and Cypher pt. 3(?) at Busan YTC in front of government officials? 🤔
😂 good one
Namjoon does ask a lot of questions and still carries on in mono but when Indigo comes then he somewhat finds himself and his purpose that he has been searching for
Yeah 🙂 he’s gotten closer to his answers 💜
But in a way, he may never find them
The questions he asks have been asked for thousands of years and tormented many a philosopher- like wondering how to change our world and brighten it, how to do the most good and prevent the most hurt, what is the meaning of life- Namjoon inspires me
@dysmissme so true and more questions he asks he may even get less answers because how life changes and answers can change and you can never understand life than life itself and namjoon knows that ... he always shows that in his work and definitely an inspiration
G DRAGON KING
This was the very first time that anyone in bts tried a solo project at all. Back in 2015, when their future was still so so so uncertain and all the members seemed to be struggling with a lot of personal shit....RM did something mad brave, and I adore this mixtape, it was a great project

You're gonna see as you progress through his music the less angry at the world and more mature he gets
same with yoongi😂
namjoon’s duality is INSANE. the lyrics that he writes for army and bts are so gentle and sweet but when it comes to anyone against them, he doesnt show any mercy 😭😭
He is savage lol
Fr
“Frogs who live up to your name
I hope you die in that well
I’ll pray earnestly” 💀💀
Like goddamn there’s no recovering from that burn 🔥
I'm so happy you go in chronological order because RM is literally a poet telling us his story in the most beautiful way. I'm sure you'll love Namjoon (RM) as much as you did with J-HOPE and Jimin.
Absolutely 💯
I second that. Absolutely dead on
Agree
this is so beautiful and true 💜
This is so beautifully stated, and 💯 true 💜
RM has 148 IQ that man is a genius, lyrics are flowing music is vibring and resonate in his blood and that makes great masterpiece. Love your reactions

joon has implied he isn’t as proud of this mixtape but i think he should be. this was his feelings and work from over 10 years ago. his style has changed a lot but i think this is a great reminder of his beginnings and the fire that fueled him then :’)
The fact that RM was invited to a Bottega Veneta fashion show this year 😆. The reference to the brand years earlier made me laugh.
And now he's the first ever celebrity ambassador of Bottega Veneta ✨😌
I'll forever be thankful to Bang PD who saw RM's talent and recognised that this was not something he could pass on. He said he was blown away by the depth of RM's lyricism and mind from the very beginning and that's how he decided to put together BTS with RM as the foundation stone. And look how far they've come now.. 💜
PS.
LMAO no one responded??!! 😂😂
@@dysmissme7343 NOT a soul. And this album charted on billboard! He was the first member to do so🥲
Love it! Lol😂
They were in shambles
Not to mention he has at least 8 flow switches I can detect: maybe there is more.
When i see you using the doolset translations i cheer! With joon’s lyricism doolset’s page just look green cause there’s an explanation for every line 😆 Also nice butterfly necklace
Same- watching him use those generic translation videos like jaeguchi was actually painful
From RM to mono and Indigo you'll see how much namjoon has matured along with his music

52:07 fun fact: all the members of BTS join RM in the chorus for this part
"RM is like a party in a library" 🤣 I mean, you're right
It warms my heart to see RM being appreciated. He is truly special... All the boys are special 💜 he is a poet. He writes the majority of the songs for BTS as well. I feel he is so underrated. He is also so humble and lives as his own person without letting fame get to his head .
The whiplash u gonna get from RM to mono
24:30 the way RM was literally just announced as the first celebrity brand ambassador for Bottega Veneta 🙌🏻
"RM is like a party in a library" I LOVE HOW THIS LINE FITS SO WELL xD
Great start to RM week ~
Same saammeee
But the existential crises I get from Namjoon always feel good, he somehow never leaves me feeling despondent
Namjoon’s words always manage to leave me with more hope, and more faith then I came with
Also I just wanted to add, you don't need to check out every single solo songs from rm or any other member right now cus many of them are part of bts albums.
Bts albums have themes and the songs make more sense to be listened as part of the album... example reflection, trivia love and persona... those are conceptual songs that make sense as part of an album.
So you can skip those for now. And wait for the bts albums.
I totally agree with you!!!! Omg 💜💜
i remember being a baby army finding out about the hyyh universe and staying up at night reading for hours on end about the theories. and i went fucking feral when love yourself dropped with more hyyh videos and i still go nuts at the mere mention of hyyh 😭
wouldnt exchange the experience for the world. in fact i wish i could relive it all over again
RTTTTT
RM is a “Party in a Library” 🤯 brooooo
Namjoon is actually a POET. I think that's why most of the time I relate to his lyrics the most. He's so smart and in touch with his feelings. Expresses things in a way most artist don't.
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANKYOUU
this mixtape is such a hidden gem that many might not know about. he was writing lyrics like this not only for himself but also being responsible for a large chunk of bts discography from such a young of age which blows my mind. so pumped for rm week 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bro😭 watching this again after a year and look at you falling down the rabbit hole😭😭
Same😂
"RM is a party in a library" you really nailed it with that comment!! 😂
IM SO ECXITED FOR RM'S WEEK LETS GOOOO
You're the only reactor I'm watching. I stopped watching reaction videos to BTS cuz it was all clout chasing. You're so genuine and funny. Stay this way. And happy BTS journey lol. ...it's gonna be a rollercoaster
So many are clout chasers it’s depressing to watch tbh
But that’s true for most “reactors” in general, not just those who react to Bts
I'm excited for you to see how Namjoon (RM) goes on a journey through his 20s where he learns to release all this anger and sorrow he had in him and goes on to live a life where he doesn't look back.
I like to think of his three works like this:
Mixtape "RM": Full of anger, assertiveness, and questioning.
Mixtape "Mono": Full of sorrow, introspection, and loneliness
Album "Indigo": Acceptance, hope, and maturity
I hope you react to some of his other solo tracks that aren't on his mixtape/album like "Trivia: Love", "Reflection" & "Bicycle" (they're such good songs!)
🥹
Perfectly described each album.
i like your reactions bc you can read subtitles and lyrics really fast hahah you don't have to pause to read a million times, it's v satisfying
Joon is my forever bias, I'm so in love with his mind his vibe his growth his music everything about him is just right
"i should be the biggest star in the world" this was in 2015... Now he is the biggest star in the world with bts, talk about manifestation
25:00 "RM is like a party in a library, just reading books and sniffing cocaine"
Im fcking dead
Namjoon (RM) said many years later that he is embarassed about his first mixtape, that from his pov it isn't the best quality and could have been better BUT us as army would never change this masterpiece.. fr i completly fell in love with this mixtape when i started getting to know BTS in 2016
Theres a reason why BTS is basicaly built around RM, he’s the heart and soul of the group
Love your enthusiasm and when you are just vibing to the songs 🎵 😂
Also, so now in 2023 (8yrs after this) he wouldn't be throwing out his Bottega wallet as he is their first celeb ambassador 🎉
No more beautiful description of RM's lyricism and beats than " He is party in library "💜
omg you finally found doolset i've been screaming about it lmao. also feel free to go through the lyrics one more time after listening to the song or look at a interpretation or explanation video !!! namjoon is a wordsmith take your time to relish his greatness 😌😌
GOD RM IS LITERALLY LYRICAL GENIUS MAN CREATS NOTHING BUT MASTERPIECES! And the fact that he’s the first celebrity brand ambassador of Bottega Veneta is just so funny bro😭😂
Oooooooo
Love this..man, when u binge hearing RM song & rap, u will be reborn as new human being 😂😂😂.
His lyrice & voice push u brain to rethink about ur life & life itself 😂😂😂
私は日本人です。
英語を完璧に理解する事は難しいけど、あなたのリアクションを見るのがとても楽しくて大好きです!
これからも多くのBTS動画を見てほしい✨
Thank you:)
He’s the poet of my life, no exaggeration.
bro just casually made my day 100x better
I was so happy to see you reading the lyrics and understanding his message 🤝
I don't comment much but your reactions always makes me laugh, can't wait for you to get to know both RM the artist and Namjoon the human being! 😊
Namjoon is a poet like rapper fr
It's a saying in our fandom that AGUST D will tell you you're a piece of sh¡t, RM will explain you why and how you're a piece of sh¡t and Jhope will tell you it's okay for you to be a piece of sh¡t. 😭 Haters really get dragged hard by BTS rap-line in every imaginable way possible lol
Congrats!!! You have discovered RM the rapper, idol, poet, intellectual..... The list goes on. One of the most beautiful minds of our times!! 💜
Rm has a wide discography he has the most number of songs among the members. We can really see his character development with time through his crafts
and now you’re even using doolset 😭😭😭 i’m currently binge watching all your bts related videos and i love literally everything about them!!!
The funniest part is Joonie is now the celebrity ambassador of Bottega 😅😅
Literally caught up to your BTS journey and I LOVE your interest in the depth of their music and that it's actually genuine. Plus, your chaoticness is a mood lmaooo I'm here for the journey 😂😂💜💜💜
Doolset is such a gift 💜, I love the idea of going through each member a week too :D
Your videos are turning turning into a schedule with late night homework
You should definitely check out his collabs to understand how diverse and versatile RM is!
Omg i just realize Rm mentioned Bottega in throw away 😂 he is the brand ambassador right now 😅😅
RM is a genius. the way he makes you question the world. and the word play is just superior. he really puts emphasis on the POETRY aspect of RAP
Also the RM mixtape is my first love. It’s what solidified my love for Namjoon and that love has continued to grow for all the boys for 7 years 💜
And that's why i will keep saying again and again Namjoon is one of the best song writers in the industry right now. ☹️
He really is such an introspective writer
RM is just a poet who decided to express himself through rap, he honestly blows me away every time i hear him!
there's so much music from him and that always talks the loudest, but i still hope you'll get to see his leader side and his goofy side as well during the week!
Love your videos! Thank you for listening to RM's early music. Not many armys know of these songs thank you for getting them into light. these songs are so raw. It really reflect the anger, the hunger, the determination of RM to prove something against all the people who doubted him. and like as years progress you can see his musical journey and it makes you appreciate his music more. it just all makes sense. 👌✨
I love the chaotic energy of the mouse-on-thigh use lmao
Namjoon’s mixtapes your album are such a journey. It’s so beautiful to see his growth and change thru his music
Big fan and as an RM bias, I am excited about this week 💜 thanks for all you do.
joonie is our talented reflective king. his lyrics break my heart sometimes, but they’re equally as inspiring. he’s amazing 🥹🫶
That last track "I Believe" had the bts members join in the chorus...they hv always be supportive of each other....and this song was such an anthem for their suitation at that time
This is probably the one of the best album reactions out there I am hooked and subscribed 💜💙
This is going to be a good week 😁
As a fandom, army need to study so much when I comes to bts, they always use references, paintings, psychological archetypes, writters, movies, books, etc. They love what they do and it shows, this is why army always says that you aren't gonna find another bts, they are so unique, and so different to each other, you have 7 people, 7 artists and seven types of art. It's amazing
There is a reason why he is consistently voted Best Leader in KPop, he is incredible. He's so smart and the rest of his music will continue to blow your mind!
