Peninsula at 8:57 is called Noordzeeweg. Great ship spotting spot. Police visit there periodically in case of motorhomes camping there. Used to be a cafe there years back. Great views, can get a car ferry back to near Hoek ferry port, saves driving all way around port. Also a visitor centre on new port development on other side of port. Can do boat tours of container port, well worth it.
Some passenger ferries around port, bike friendly, can bike around the publicly accessible areas. Or drive round instead.

Wow, things have certainly changed since the 60's when I used to travel this route on the ''Avalon'' and our cars were loaded on by crane.
Boat is a monster (largest in the world) & have had the pleasure of crossing countless times over the yrs. Food is outstanding though it isn't as varied as it used to be, grog overpriced. The traditional service used to be great not now; on the arrogant side the Philippino hosts I find send you around-the-houses & get a kick out of it when asked simply onboard questions. Other than that it's a great journey especially with children. It's also a relaxing journey when their arn't many passengers. Hook of Holland is worthy of a night over. Nice tiny cafes/pubs & very friendly locals.
Love this. How long is the crossing? Is it worth getting a cabin?
Crossing about 6 hrs, cabin is mandatory with car you can choose only inside or outside cabin
Is there vat return counters for the goods you purchased in Europe? Since you're leaving EU > UK , I supposed there should be one?
Could you please tell me if the Dutch passport control was in Harwich?

Do you have to be double jabbed to use these, like the cruise ships? Even though the jab doesn't stop infection or transmission of convid?
No , Only passport nothing else

Im sure i traveled week ago nobody want to see proof of vaccin , same way back
I think that was a quick fix solution, in May I got the ferry from italy to greece, greece to italy, italy to spain, spain to UK and nobody ever asked for proof of my jab so its all over now thankfully 👍
