The Hyundai 5N. has an incredibly reasonable price despite being a vehicle with all the quality of great cornering and good shot time in circuit racing, as well as being fast only in the zero-back or drag. Nearly perfect car that exists

Des sensations sonores de thermique ? J'ai l'impression d'être dans un jeu vidéo des années 80. Bon c'est vrai ça rend la voiture électrique plus sympa, mais sans plus. Et on voit bien que la tenue de route se dégrade au fur et à mesure des kilomètres. Le poids élevé doit se ressentir.. Bravo à ce pilote qui nous offre toujours des vidéos de qualité avec un pilotage de haut niveau.

Rear diff management seems to be completely different. Even in "neutral mode", the Ioniq acts like a RWD which serves the agility in slow corners but can be a little bit tricky in fast and slippery corners (ESC off). The other big difference comes from the N e-Shift which really increases fun !
Great driving, we've changed the Ioniq 5N front brake pad to Ferodo DS 3.12 and it really made a huge difference. We are now driving EVs on touge roads here in South Korea.
Even in this mode, when braking it uses max regen to keep battery topped up and spare the physical brakes (which are pure energy destroyers). Doesn't overheat and uses less then 30% battery on a lap (energy equivalent of 3 litre gasoline), that's pretty amazing...
Funny to see a side by side comparison video L'argus driving the KIA EV6 GT and HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 N. The 5 N is more composed- but the EV6 is just as fast and drifting trough corners like a mad man in the hands of L'argus😆
I own and love to drive my 5N as well. Can you share with us your N-mode settings for a ring lap? It looks like i see the "DRIFT" indicator. Curious if that is on plus how you have the motor/e-LSD/suspension/steering etc. Thanks looking forward to more!
No Drift mode here 😄I have tried the "N" mode with everything in Sport+. It's suitable for motor, suspension, steering, brakes, but you should try Sport (and not Sport+) for the e-LSD to get a more stable rear axle in fast corners. I've also selected N e-Shift because I like it even it's not the fastest mode

@@largus I agree but I run into a strange problem when using it. Every time I take my foot off the gas either to slow down or down shift the car flashes the brake lights to the car behind me. Do you have this same problem?
@@MelodicMurder that's because, re-gen is too powerful, so it produce too much decleration. according to the regulation, brake light should be ON in specific deceleration. even the driver didn't step on the brake.
@@pdolf321 after driving a real 7 speed dual clutch for the past 6 years it’s hard to adjust. What tire pressure do you run? I find 39 psi gives a much stiffer sidewall and better turning.

In race mode : 38° at the end of first lap, 47° at the end of second lap. Zero loss of power, except when SOC goes under 30% but nothing compared to the Model 3 Perf (of even the former Taycan : "tortle mode" at the beginning of second lap...)
@@largus wow... Tesla even Push the Temperatur above 40° only too get the full Power. Start the cooling at around 45 and reduce Power at 58°. At 62° i only had 180kw of Power left
Interesting ! The Ioniq preconditionning system allows you to choose between track mode (to start from 20 to 30°) or drag mode (to start from 30 to 40°). I've started at 30°.

Agree on the reflexes to avoid that Yaris! 5N looks to rotate so well but doesn't seem too twitchy. No N pedal or torque balance to rear allowed in gears mode is that correct? great channel thanks
N pedal basically starts regen braking as you lift the throttle, the car does exactly the same using the brake pedal for trail braking (it uses regen first, then physical brakes).

So much understear in the corner. We can feel the weight. Perfomance was good, but it will tires can't handle so much understear for a long period. I'm sure the budget for the tires has to be double than an M3. Plus, you can do so much more laps, for many reasons. Hat off for Hyundai though, this is impressive
N Pedal is not available with N e-Shift, right ? I prefer N e-Shift, even if it's not the fastest ! To much brake when you lift for me... and regen works also without it. Can you do 3 laps with one charge ? Do you use "endurance" mode ? What is your battery temp at the end ? Thank you 🙂
@@largus oke makes sense 😄, i can do 3 on 1 charge yes with some traffic and/or yellow flag. I cant do 3 laps under 8 , using about 30% battery on a hard push lap. Warm up laps i use 20%. Im always in sprint mode, maybe i should try endurance! Battery temp good question.. around 47-48 after 2 laps back to back.

This car is a landmark for sports cars.

The Ioniq 5N is significantly faster if you use standard mode instead of "gear mode" like you're doing in this video.

That is correct, you can't combine different modes. But in fast corners, honestly, you don't need more rotation 😅

@@largus oke makes sense 😄, i can do 3 on 1 charge yes with some traffic and/or yellow flag. I cant do 3 laps under 8 , using about 30% battery on a hard push lap. Warm up laps i use 20%. Im always in sprint mode, maybe i should try endurance! Battery temp good question.. around 47-48 after 2 laps back to back.
