YG don't let his artists to show their natural skills and techniques, he prefers the uniqueness, and teaches them techniques that doesn't match the singers voices, skills. Actually you can see the differences in rose voice in their MVs and on mask of king,it's totally different
jutaesu if anything I think she should quit the lessons because the vocal trainers taught her those techniques like for example when she was featured in GD's Without You her technique was different because she hadn't received any training yet. Even Akmu's suhyun decided to quit YG's vocal lessons because she didn't like how they tried to change her technique and voice. Either way her voice is amazing with or without lessons😻.
Even rosè didn't reach the proper highnote due to her condition atleast she slay and give a perfect harmonization to the other singers but tbh her highnote here is good even she made it lower just to protect her voice 😍

Ok fine. Rose is not a powerhouse vocalist. But STOP confusing being a good singer with being a powerhouse vocalist! You don't have to be able to belt perfectly to be a good singer, there are different genres of music and different singers prefer different styles of singing. Rose has a "unique", modern style of singing (for lack of better a way to describe it lol), a voice that's honestly not suited for belts but she is perfect in singing softer and more gentle music like ballads, and tbh her voice color is really beautiful. To give you an example, Jungkook of BTS has also never tried to establish himself as a powerhouse vocalist, but that again is totally fine, because he, like Rose, can still give you goosebumps when they sing soft songs (sry for the BTS mention, Im just multifandom trash ;) ) And again, just because her technique is not perfect here, does NOT mean that she cannot learn. Give her a break, she's only just started her career and I think she knows exactly what she's doing, given that she is so successful at such a young age. Virtually any singing technique can be mastered through proper coaching, and she'll master pieces like this too, just give her time to develop.
